Bruh. When I bit into a chocolate ball from here with CoCoa dust on it... it was my new favorite treat. I wish I was SO MUCH closer to this place to get it ALWAYS. Next time I'm nearby I'm stoping for that exact treat. I was literally licking the dust falling off into the box it was given in. That pastrie was the best way to make something so bitter so SWEET. It was like a fudge ball covered in cocoa powder I'd buy 2 dozen now that I know that specific taste. It'll be at my wedding for sure (in the future when I get proposed to) and sooner than that for my own enjoyment
So this place is kind of hard to find. So you would definitely miss it if you're not familiar. The snacks and staff are pretty cool. I had a few things I liked and a few I personally did not. I personally loved the rice crispy donut. That was actually really unique and fun to eat. I was not a fan of the pretzel. I personally felt it had too many things. The place is also very cozy looking. And the smells, OH YES THE SMELLS. It smells so good you can smell it through the halls and outside. Overall there are more things here I would love to try. I would recommend this woman ran business any day!
This bakery is definitely off the beaten path! I had to get directions from a business in the area to find it! It's well worth finding! There were so many delicious looking treats to choose from. When I walked in, it smelled like chocolate. I appreciate the attention to detail for the decor- not to mention the wide variety of desserts. It's not easy to choose, which means you'll have to visit several times in order to get a nice sampling. They offer excellent customer service. They also have their own parking spaces right outside the door. I'll definitely be back. Don't miss this gem!
What an awesome experience. This cute bakery is a great gem. The service at the counter is absolutely amazing!! They were friendly, warm and very welcoming. While the business is a bit hard to find it is worth the added effort for sure. The spinach turnover is absolutely amazing. The outside is very flaky, soft and buttery. The inside mixture is absolutely perfection. OMG this alone is worth the trip. While there I purchased a leo on bar, a protein bar, a stuffed bagel(wow) and finally a bumpy brownie (just like the cake). Try this business. if you in front of the apartment building drive around to the right to find the business.
The bakery is located in an office building off Franklin and Northwesten Hwy. I parked in the parking structure when I could've drove to the back and parked right in front. So fyi pull to the back of the building, but the guard was nice and more than helpful on directing me where to go. Walking down the hallway I smelled a savory aroma. Opened the door and smelled sweet deliciousness. The bakery is decorated nicely and has a few tables of you want to sit. I especially liked the coffee nook that has cream, sugar, and a nice variety of flavored syrups. There were many options to choose from. I got the pop tart, chocolate dipped pretzel, doughnut shaped fruity pebble and rice krispy treats, and a spinach and cheese on a half bagel. The spinach bagel was soooo good. I'd go back just for that. Service was pleasant and very good with explaining the different items and ingredients.
This is my second time here, kinda hard to find but just keep driving around the building! The two ladies in there were complete sweethearts and I always want to support a women owned business! But sadly they didn't have a single dairy free option! My one and a half year old son very much enjoyed the treats though!
I love this bakery! Owned and operated by Jessica and her mom, Jodie, this shop is delightful! Such a warm vibe, inviting decor, and delicious treats. I love everything about this place! I purchased a lemon bar and chocolate brownie. The lemon bar is very tasty, and if you love chocolate, the chocolate brownie will wow you. I also enjoyed a biscotti and their iced coffee. Their ice cubes are actually coffee so your coffee won't get watered down! I love the details! This is a place I want to come to sit and relax and drink delicious beverages and snack for a while. It's very comfortable, visually appealing, and provides a variety of seating options. Fun signs and phrases around too. Plenty of free parking right outside. It's located behind an apartment building. From the street, turn in when you see the sign "The Claymoor". Then follow the signs to the bakery all the way down the road, and turn left to go behind the building. Excellent and friendly service, delicious baked goods, and warm ambiance. I will be back!
This lovely bakery is a hidden treasure located behind the apartment complex. This is such a lovely bakery owned by a mother and daughter duo. The mom has been in the bakery business for 30 years. She started out with her husband, who passed away from cancer. Shortly after, her daughter decided to join her. They opened up their first store front October of 2020. There were so many unique options to choose from such as quiche, rugelach, bars, pretzels, cookies and more. My husband and I purchased the moose tracks bar and brownie. We also got apple shaped sugar cookies. The moose tracks bar is sorta like a brookie with chocolate drizzle and reeses cups on top. It was super delicious. My husband let me try his brownie. It was super rich and delicious. Also the sugar cookies were amazing. I ate 3 of them on the drive home and I had to stop myself from eating the entire container. I highly recommend this shop. It's a great way to support a small family business. The owners are amazing.
What a cute little bakery! It's on the ground floor of a mixed use building (condos and businesses) so you really have to look for it...but you'll be happy once you find it! I entered through the front building lobby, but notices once I was in the bakery that you can enter directly through the back/side of the building! The sugar cookies are amazing! I'm not which my grandson loved most- decorating them or eating them! I'll be back to try some of the other treats. I'll probably try the quiche next.
This place is hard to find (but follow the arrows and it's at the back of a big apartment building), but well worth the search! I tried three items when I visited. My favorite was the morning glory muffin: it had carrot, coconut, and raisins. This was an absolutely delicious combination of flavors and textures. It was moist and a good size. I would definitely get this one over and over again. I also enjoyed the Michigan cherry bar: it had a pronounced cherry flavor and a nice, buttery topping. Lastly, I tried one of the sugar cookies: it had a pretty good flavor and was not overly sweet like the kind you'd buy at the grocery store. This is a nice little local business that I would be happy to come back and support when I'm in the area and craving some baked goods! I highly recommend checking them out to try them out.
Do you know this bakery is in Southfield?? Because I didn't and now it's my favorite destination for miles around! Absolutely unmatched anywhere nearby in the cookie, cake, treats department- much higher quality than I've found on my travels I can't tell you just one favorite but do not miss the carrot cake, the ultimate chocolate chip cookie, the junk bar, the bourbon scone (that might've been a special?) and get an iced coffee to go with it! (Ice cubes made with coffee so it never waters down!) Seats inside and benches outside- you can walk over from Bigalora lunch for dessert- that's my new plan!
This is a lovely, adorable bakery with a small fun dining space to have some sweet treats. While the space is not a large one, they have quite an impressive variety of goodies at a very nice price. The employee was very enthusiastic and kind, a nice friendly face to greet you and entice you. You would definitely pay more at equivalent bake shops, which makes it easier to get more yumminess for your money. They have a variety of cookies, brownies, small cakes, quiche, chocolate covered pretzels, cake pops, rice crispy treats, and much much more. With all of the goodies, they must also serve coffee, so it makes it a perfect spot to meet friends. I took home three treats. I tried the white chocolate cake pop, bumpy cake brownie, and a pecan chocolate brownie. All of the items were very delicious and tasted freshly baked. The kids were very impressed. They couldn't believe how good the treats tasted. This is a perfect place to order from for catering. I am not sure if that is where they get the majority of their business, but I would recommend using them. As far as a meeting place, I wish they had better signage. It was very hard to find even with a GPS. If they had a sign off the road and more arrows pointing the customers to find their location it would be easier to find since it is in the back of a building behind a restaurant and a hospital. It might help make this "hidden gem" a little less hidden.

I live in Kansas, I sent this bountiful basket of delectable treats to my longtime friends in Oklahoma. It arrived beautifully packaged, and in a timely manner. My friends were thrilled with the goodies, and said that they were ALMOST too gorgeous to eat. They even threatened to hide it from their kids so they could have it all for themselves. This bakery is Southfield's best kept secret! It's tucked away on a dead end street around the backside of a tall apartment-looking building. You walk inside and are greeted with the cleanest, cutest set up and an eyeful of freshly baked goods! For a small mom and daughter owned shop, they have quite a large selection available each day! I tried their fudge brownie, raspberry pie, and homemade poptart. Everything that I ordered was delicious! The brownie -- deliciously fudgey and rich. The pie -- sugary and flaky. The poptart -- hint of lemon and it was similar to a sugar cookie dough and light on the filling. The poptart was the most surprising of all and my friend and I were fighting over the last few bits of it! I also bought some iced diesel from them.. I mean coffee! It was STRONG (not complaining because I LOVE a good cup of coffee)! I met the daughter of the pair behind the counter and happened to see their tiniest culinary combo legacy, her son. She was so kind and helpful! I love that this shop is personal and family-owned. You're actually meeting the people who make your food! Due to covid, their operations are scaled back, but the daughter mentioned that they would like to host parties or classes eventually once things open back up more, so keep an eye and an ear out! read more

Culinary Combo is a fantastic hidden gem of a bakery. Between my husband and I, we tried probably half of the items they were offering on a Saturday morning. Everything was so fresh that we were able to enjoy a desert every night the following week :) We even picked up some treats for our dog. The owners are so friendly. My favorite item was probably the Saturday morning cinnamon roll (I'm not sure if they make them any other day of the week). I live about 30 minutes away but would come back just for that. To get here, just keep driving all the way to the back of the road it is on and turn left into the parking lot. Lovely place and worth the trip for any of your bakery cravings or needs. read more

Amazing amazing amazing !!!! This is a must stop! Every single item we had was delicious! Wow did this bakery smell amazing from the moment I stepped in the door. I wish there was an option to attach smells to Yelp! I took some time to browse through the cases and the countertop. I didn't know where to start! After asking some questions about different items, I chose a raspberry pop tart, a pecan diamond, a Michigan cherry bar, a key lime biscotti, and a chocolate chip cookie. This bakery is tricky to find. Drive all the way to the back of the building instead of following the signs for visitor parking. They have a nice variety of treats and plenty of space to sit down and enjoy your goodies. I tried the brownie, raspberry bar, and chewy bar. The chewy bar was my favorite by far! Perfectly soft and full of flavor. The other two bars were good, but the chewy bar won my heart. The service was friendly and fast. read more

My family was the recipient of a lovely basket from The Culinary Combo when we were sitting shiva a few days ago... It was timely, as it arrived shortly after the funeral, and the treats inside not only looked good, but tasted good too. According to their website, all of their pastries are "prepared from scratch using the finest ingredients." I can't speak to their catering, customer service or pricing, but based on the basket they sent, I will definitely support this local business in the future when the need arises. read more

What a hidden gem! I was glad to find this place because of Yelp. I picked 5 different items and brought them to a pool party at my friends. We sampled each and everyone enjoyed the baked goods. I picked all chocolate items- I should have picked non chocolate things. But, I love chocolate. We all enjoyed the items. My favorite was the bumpy cake brownie- my two favorite desserts combined. This place is adorable! Definitely a hidden gem to get great unique treats. This bakery puts their own flair on some of my favorites including the babka scone. I was nervous with this one because I love regular babka so much but this was SO good. I highly recommend trying this one and also the super unique rice Krispie donuts!
