I've eaten at Fahrenheit 212 several times, and their food is excellent with one exception. First the good! The entree salads are always fresh and tasty. Their perch on Fridays is a favorite with a good-sized 6 pieces to start. If you order AYCE, they refill with 2 or 4 pieces. Sides are always good, especially the asparagus when they have it. Now the not so good! The French onion soup is perfunctory and not the real thing. They've taken clear shortcuts: not caramelizing the onions enough, using croutons instead of French bread, and sticking a slice of cheese on top and microwaving instead of baking the dish in the over. There is an artificial sweetness that has been added rather than coming naturally from the caramelized onions. So I would not recommend ordering the French onion soup. read more

Ok folks this one is a winner! Consider myself a home chef with homemade pasta skills, bread making etc. The food is delicious! Ordered the chicken gnocchi w/ garlic Alfredo ... spot on. Gnocchi were soft and pillowy perfect texture, chicken tender and juicy. My husband ordered the Prosciutto e Arugula pizza ,Outstanding! We are foodies and have ate in the best of restaurants and this place is top notch. Service was very very good. Great atmosphere and very hospitable staff. This will be one of our go -to spots on a regular basis. Full bar AND they have fantastic specials during the week to help augment the price of groceries. Food was not good, they ran out of lemonade, pork chops, the server was did not come check on us until the food was out. I asked if we could have bread that was apparently complimentary to other tables just not ours because she never bought to us. We had to ask for refills. It was 15 minutes after we placed our order that she came back to make us aware that they had run out of pork chops. Order a prime rib sandwich and it seemed it was a roast beef they passed off as a prime rib. Since they did not have pork chops order a steak medium well. Steak came out well done made it hard to chew. Only wanted to leave a 10% tip, however gratuity was already included on a table of 4. Would NOT recommend this place! We used to go there almost every week, but have not been there more than a few times in the last 6 months. We went last Saturday and my wife ordered the Pollo Vesuvio, advertised as a whole chicken. I got the Veggie Pasta. She got only 1/2 of a chicken, and the dish was swimming in sauce. The Vesuvio Brick Chicken at Copolillos on Summit is really a whole chicken, and is much bigger and better tasting. The chef should pay them a visit and see how to make it properly. The Veggies Pasta was very good. The music that they played on the sound system was not relaxing at all. The prices have gone up quite a bit over the past year, and we spent $52 on just the two meals, one soft drink and tip. read more

The menu looks the same.. and they do have their regular items... but their specials are incredible. The food quality is so much better since a new owner came in. One of my recent favorites was the spinach ravioli. They have multiple pasta dishes on their specials-- and we've enjoyed all of them to date. Went here for my daughter's birthday. We were not impressed and wont be back any time soon. Upon arrival we were greeted by a teenager wearing sweatpants that told us to "pick anywhere". Normally I wouldn't complain about dress code if this was a local diner but this is a place that has $50-$70 steaks on the menu...get some pants and dress the part...you aren't going to your friends house to play video games...you are going to a job. When our food arrived everyone's food came out except my wife;s perch...that showed up almost five minutes after everything else...and when it showed up it was very greasy looking. When. My wife took the first bite it was apparent they did not heat the oil before the put the fish in the pan because that is all the fish tasted like. My youngest daughter had a Caesar's salad and half of the lettuce looked like it should have been thrown in the garbage. We were a party of five and out of five dishes ordered we had to send two of them back...due to the time we didn't wait for them to cook something else. So for two burgers, a salmon dinner and three sodas it was $80 and had two inedible dishes sent back. There are better choices out there. read more

The food: my calamari was cold almost like it was old from sitting around the cream of crab soup had good flavor but it was microwaved. How can you go wrong with salad and the perch was horrible. I was there this morning for the Sunday morning buffet. We came early thinking everything would be fresh and hot. Wrong...very wrong. The scrambled eggs were tasteless and cold despite them just bringing them out. The sausage links were cold and greasy. The tasteless bacon was limp..and cold. The biscuits were a little hard, but softened up with the cold canned tasting gravy. I think the hash browns were still raw. No color at all. French toast was thin and dry and...you guessed it..cold. The strawberry glop for the French toast was all glop with a few very random pieces of strawberries. The brownie was awesome. To pay $19.99 per person and $3.99 for a beverage is a total waste of money. If you want better quality and hot food, sad to say, Golden Corral is your best bet. read more

This is my first visit to this restaurant. We were there right it opening which is 11:00 a.m. we were the second table to be seated but the restaurant filled up quickly. Our server greeted us and had drinks coming within minutes and our order taken shortly after. We ordered the berry salad with balsamic dressing which was very large and absolutely delicious. The berries were fresh and plump and juicy. Another member in the party also ordered the veggie sandwich on ciabatta bread which was amazing looking. Zucchini squash mushrooms onions cheese and a large serving of french fries on the side and our last two in the party enjoyed the prime rib sandwich which they said was delicious. It was so big they ate half and took the other half home for dinner. The price is moderate anywhere from 10 to 25 dollars at lunch depending on your choice from the menu. Most of the salads and sandwiches run 10 to $15. Service was great. The server was pleasant and checked in on us frequently. I enjoyed the lunch very much and look forward to returning. read more

I don't know if it was because our party of 14 had only one server & maybe the young lady was nervous, but....my food was ok (others had some complaints about there's) 1.) garlic mashed potatoes were too stiff 2.) one asked for her potatoes to have cheese on them, 5-10 minutes later, they brought her a small container with shredded cheese for her "cool" garlic mashed potatoes. She had to send them back to melt the cheese on the potatoes & they must've microwaved her entire plate because her steak went from medium to well done. 3.) hardly any chicken in the pasta dishes 4.) Cajun chicken did not have a Cajun taste 5.) asked for ginger ale & was told they can make it by mixing Pepsi with sprite (TikTok action) 6.) they left the menus on the table while we were eating our food 7.) I ordered the steak which supposed to have came with choice of soup or salad & the waitress never asked which i wanted. I had to ask her if it came with the meal & she didn't know. Fahrenheit 212 review: Tuesday March 29th, 2024, my mom and I met a friend and her son at Fahrenheit 212 restaurant in Crown Point, Indiana for dinner. Fahrenheit 212 is a rustic yet cozy restaurant with gorgeous decor. It is located in a strip mall, but it is very easy to find. They serve a variety of dishes that include appetizers, different types of beef, chicken, pasta, and seafood. They also have different sides and a few desserts. The staff is very friendly and attentive. The restaurant is very spacious which was perfect for my chair. And the restrooms were big as well. We ordered the appetizer sampler which had 2 types of chicken egg rolls, chicken quesadillas, and fried pickles. Everything on the sampler was nice and crispy and seemed fresh. For entrees I had the prime rib sandwich, my mom had the chicken artichoke flatbread with a cup of chicken and gnocchi soup, my friend had the chicken fettucine alfredo with chicken and dumpling soup, and her son had the burger. Everyone seemed to enjoy the food. My sandwich was flavorful. Although it was good, I would probably order something else next time. I had sweet potato fries with the sandwich. That came with what I think was a maple sauce. Overall everything was great and I would definitely recommend this restaurant. 4 out 0f 5 stars. read more

We stopped here on the way home from Indiana Beach to try something different for some reason this restaurant and a couple others did not come up in my yelp search. I found it on google however they do have reviews on yelp so I'm not sure why. The restaurant was spacious, waitresses were friendly. Our hamburgers were average but my sons Alfredo and husbands chicken parmesan sandwich were delicious. I will definitely come back and try more if there pasta dishes. The chicken tasted hand breaded. The kids like the wings and my sister in law enjoyed her potatoe roll. Don't forget to check out there daily specials as they are a very good value. Today was $7 burger and fries and .85 wings. I'm glad we tried this place and will stop in crown point more over merriville on our way to and from Indiana beach next year. 3.5 stars if that was an option. read more

Disappointing to say the least! Only had one menu: "Valentine's Day Specials". The prices were around $7 more than on their original menu for the same dishes. My rosemary chicken was drenched in oil... I thought there was soup on the bottom of the bowl. Very difficult to eat! If you are going to have a special dinner for Valentine's Day and charge more, it would make sense to make the place look nicer for what you are charging. If they would have even came out to acknowledge us they would've known that this is a service dog: when my sister went to get a menu they told her about not allowing dogs on their patio.
