They respond very quickly when needed to, and they have professional and knowledgeable team members. We recently had Dennis and his crew dig a new well at our house. Of course there is a lot of unknown info that we wanted to know (i.e., water flow rate), so we went into this with a fair amount of doubt. I knew it wouldn't be his fault if Dennis couldn't locate a good source of water. But he did! He took us from 4 gpm to 10 gpm. We are in Florida right now but I can't wait to get home to see our faucets blasting water out! This will also help a lot with our 21-zone irrigation system. I have…read morea point well with a jet pump, and because there are relatively few companies experienced with these systems, I trusted Skillings as the experts. Unfortunately, that trust ultimately cost me several thousand dollars. Over the years, I had repeated issues with my pump. What started as a rebuild eventually turned into two more rebuilds. Looking back, I could have replaced the pump multiple times for what I spent trying to repair it. The biggest issue came when Skillings installed a filtration system. Someone came out, evaluated my setup, and quoted approximately $1,000 for the work. The system they installed was not appropriate for my application. For nearly a year, I dealt with ongoing sediment and filtration problems. The system failed to properly remove sediment, contributed to another pump failure, and allowed sediment into my irrigation system, ultimately causing several thousand dollars in damage. I didn't write this review after one bad experience, and I didn't write it after two, either. I continued working with Skillings for years, gave them feedback, and gave them multiple opportunities to address the problems. It wasn't until I finally hired a competent irrigation specialist and pump specialist who properly evaluated my system and installed the correct equipment that I realized just how badly my system had been handled. I understand how damaging a review like this can be to a company, and I don't write it lightly. But after years of service calls, repeated pump failures, wasted time, and several thousand dollars in unnecessary costs and damage, I feel obligated to share my experience. I trusted Skillings because I believed they were the experts, and unfortunately, that trust turned into a very expensive lesson.

I got a call saturday afternoon they would come Monday, When I pushed to have it sooner, with lots of tone, he told me IT WAS THE WEEKEND. He then said they couldn't get my type of water heater. So no hot water, all weekend. They came today (Monday), after he installed it he asked me to sign. I said, the water is not hot yet, so how do I know it works before I sign. (Don't people want to know things work before they sign?) His response was "you will sign or I will make SURE it doesn't work." Reluctantly, I signed. Also, they drained the old one. There was already water there from the leaking but they left it much worse than it was. I would think a plumbing company would shop vac their mess up? Not a great experience. Seems others have had a good experience given their comments.

Have had some recent issues due to a lightning strike and their customer service has been just as excellent as it was when they did the install. It's one thing to do a good job initially but the consistency and excellence in their follow up and customer service is even more impressive. After the last service of the water filter NH Water Care installed I had a flood in my basement…read morefrom the filter overflowing. Since I wasn't sure as to the reason at that time and the overflow had stopped, I cleaned it up and moved on. Shortly after that my wife noticed the iron stains returning. I called NH Water Care to notify them of an issue. A few days later they came out to check it out. The service tech came out, reviewed the settings and advised us that either a board was bad or the prior tech reversed the flush cycle and the rinse cycle. As well as replacing some other parts that had just been put in by them. They billed us full charge. After watching the filter for 30 days, the issues no longer appeared. I requested to speak with the owner about the billing for what appeared to be an error by the original tech and/or the parts. After 2 weeks no response was received. Still no response after another call and week. I paid the bill today. I do not recommend doing business with this company. I thought I'd made the right choice buying the filter. I still do, in the product. We've had no issues with the board so you do the math.... Either way the "no response customer service speaks volumes.

In the days that followed I also experienced an outage of my Navien tankless hot water system. I contacted them in the morning, they were at my home in the early afternoon to evaluate the problem. They worked with the technician from the company to get my problem resolved. The Navien company overnighted a part to them which was helpful since the system went down again the following night. Once again, they responded to my home within a very short time. Again, my system is working and I can't make enough positive comments about this local small business and their work ethic and commitment to excellence. Very lucky to have them in our community.
