I've been to Cultivo 3 times. I am a bit torn about this place. I had as means salmon, pork, and pizza. I would give the salmon a 3/5, pork 4/5, and pizza 2/5. The atmosphere is one of the best in Ukiah. And the wait staff are great. I think once they get their food more consistent, I will go back. read more

I had a margarita pizza with a salad and bottled mineral water. Pizza and Salad were darn good. The mineral water was, well, carbonated water. Walked out well over $50. I was dining alone. I probably would have appreciated dinner a bit more if I had gotten something other than the pizza. I'm not complaining because I left satisfied. Don't get the pizza. read more

Our go to spot in Ukiah. Creative pizza combinations and a great wine selection. The kale salad was good but I wish it had been cut up a little as we got giant leaves of tough kale for our salad (and no croutons). Went there on a Monday night as many of the nearby restaurants were closed. Got seated upstairs right away. The menu, for my taste, is a little light on choices. Either higher-priced entries or pizza. Ordered a pizza called a Pig's something. Should have read the description better as what showed up was covered in some type of lettuce. There was some type of bacon and pesto underneath. Had to ask for red pepper and parmesan cheese which was brought out in ramakin containers where I either had to use my fingers or a fork to use. Also had to remind my server that I had ordered a beer. The pizza was all right but didn't enjoy it all that much which was my fault for not reading the description. Spectacular Mila at this forward thinking Italian eatery. Meal consisted of roasted brussels sprouts topped with what seemed like a very lemony Beurre Blanc. Also had the ceviche with housemaid potato chips. Perfectly sliced fish slightly on the raw side. Pizza was above average. Desert was frozen lemon mousse. All top notch. Definitely cooked by competent staff who care about what is being served. Great dinner. read more

Cultivo was our caterer for our rehearsal dinner, welcome party, and wedding. Everyone loved the food! They went out of their way to help us with logistical challenges and special requests. The Brussels sprouts, beer, pizza and wine were phenomenal. The spinach salad with chicken added was a bit sparse for the price. Friday night service was minimal. Very little attention and had to track someone down for everything. It would have been nice to have better communication. Even if slammed to just say that so a customer understands why things are delayed instead of just never coming over and saying a word. read more

After a restful day at the Champagne Baths, we decided to grab a late night bite here. Have you ever had duck pizza? I now can say that I have. I recently ordered out the Salmón entree. Risotto was very rich saffron flavor, not just color like many places, it really tasted of saffron. The flavors and generous portion were stand out. Salmon was fresh and perfectly grilled with a drizzle of lemon caper sauce (did not need the sauce but good). Baby carrots were rainbow and served whole al dente as if they just came from the farmers market (intact veggies are most nutritious so I liked the presentation). Seems like they really do focus on local sustainable healthy ingredients.ñ, so at $27 a good price point for such a huge generous portion and quality. Before covid I had fish tacos - also very tasty. Very friendly staff and owner, casual social ambience at the bar. I was able to use WiFi and felt welcome to hang out during an afternoon when it wasn't busy. Since covid I see the outside area is really beautiful, like something in Napa or Sonoma. This would be a great place for a date, classy yet relaxed. read more

I was really excited to enjoy a wonderful dinner, and well it just fell short at every point. Server was covering a large area with limited support. The physical space was unkempt. Maybe the owners are spending little time In there. Polenta arcaini bland, Brussels sprouts tasty, had the hanger steak served cold, salmon was a cohesive dish. Server was not interested in serving, when it came time for the desert menu check was placed down on the table. Excellent! Our first eating experience since covid started and it was well worth it. I had the fish tacos which were so excellent. My husband had their Po Boy which he loved. Dad had some kind of pizza with pork and olives, and mom had soup and salad. They indulged in some drinks and loved those too. We can't wait to come back! Our server was Tree. Awesome service, amazing food. I have gluten intolerance and Tree was straight forward about several items. My wife ordered the short rib pasta, which she loved. Well balanced, rich, and paired amazingly with the house Zinfandel. I ordered a GF pizza and a great cider. Both were magnificent. This place was amazing. The food was so delicious! I had the ravioli with the pork that was incredible, the pizza is so good and the butterscotch desert was so light and flavorful. Regularly have lunch dates with my boyfriend here. Wonderful lunch menu full of fun options and incredible flavor and flair! The mixed greens salad with the sandwiches is simple yet so addicting! Also the lunch prices are right! 50+tip for a lunch including drinks and appetizer! Also wonderful for accommodating large parties. Attended a group event for around 20 on the upstairs level and they were fantastic and efficient with service. We left full and very satisfied & ready to host another event there. Their food is alright so that's why they're getting 2 stars, but the service is horrendous. I went with a group of 4 for my wedding anniversary and it was a very disappointing experience. We waited an hour and 20 minutes for our drinks and appetizer, no pizza. We tried giving the benefit of the doubt due to everything going on right now. A waitress had friends dining who got there after my group did, she kept going back to check on their table and we only had a waiter come by once to order in the span of an hour and a half. He was incredibly rude up until the point of us paying, and began saying how an employee had got a vasectomy so that's why they were slow. We asked to get our drinks compted and he caught a huge attitude and was incredibly rude and careless. We ended up getting our pizza to go and asked for our check and we got back to find out our pizza was undercooked and not cut. It was so disappointing, and would NOT recommend. read more

Nice little restaurant in a nice little town, worth a stop off the freeway to get lunch but not a destination. Service is nice but a bit scattered. I had a wedge salad and a steak sandwich. The salad was OK. I was surprised how much I liked the addition of chopped dates to it and it had a lot of bacon on it but the dressing was thin and bland and the plate came off a bit amatuerish. I ordered 3 oysters to start with and my mistake, ordering oysters in July, they were more 'fat' than oyster and tasted cardboardy and flabby. They were also barely cooler than room temperature and they should be ice cold, especially since they weren't the highest quality. The steak sandwich was pretty good. It lots of nicely caramelized onions and was a good portion but it was nothing special and not trimmed very well. With a nice glass of Sauvignon blanc and tip it came to over $50 and for that much money there should be some serious wow and it didn't deliver. read more

Ate here for the first time and enjoyed it. It's the same space that was formerly Saucy, but now under new owners. An extensive beer list, including flights, is displayed over the bar and wrapping around the rest of the downstairs. I opted for the white sangria made with blood orange; it was OK. My friend had it too and he ordered another, so must have been my taste preference, but it was on the tart side and missing the layers of flavor I expect in a sangria. Our server, who was also the bartender, was very helpful -- and very enthusiastic about the prawns pasta special. Two of us got that and definitely enjoyed it. The food was average. My pizza was soggy, the steak was over cooked, and the salad that my sister had was dressed with a dill dressing that didn't go with the salad at all. Poor service-we asked for steak knives and never got them, asked for more bar drinks and my husband finally had to go down to the bar to get them himself and we also had to wait for the bill. read more

Great fresh ingredients and it shows! I had their "Some Pig" pork loin sandwich with the side salad. The greens were lightly dressed with a simple vinaigrette, but was just enough. Chutney added great balance to the sandwich. Fresh raspberry lemonade ($1 extra for adding raspberry) was perfect on a hot day. Service was friendly, but food prep was pretty slow. It took about 30 minutes for my sandwich and salad with only 1/2 of the inside tables occupied and no one sitting outside. I felt like I had to eat pretty quickly to get back to work within the 50 minutes I had for my lunch break. Not sure if this is typical or not. Regardless, I look forward to trying more from this little downtown restaurant. read more
