Sandwiches are always a two thumbs up and the service was quick. The manager (assuming) was really hospitable and made our visit pleasant. I told my husband that the manager reminded me of Bob from Big Bob's Pizza in Oceanside, CA due his friendly and welcoming demeanor which for me is a plus. this place sucks…read more Hadn't been to firehouse subs in five years because of the service it was awful back then. Came to the one in Arden a few weeks ago and the service was odd. It must have been this register girls first job, she was so timid, she was shaking and did not know how to operate the register, I felt bad for her as no other employees initially helped her. Eventually someone came to help and they too had low confidence, no hello, eye contact etc. Despite the strangeness it was good and I would've given it a three out of five stars, they did take a long time but I prob due to the new employee and lack there of. As I was leaving, there were employees tossing bags of chips behind the counter, but you get out of your employee what you put in . Secondly, and most importantly, I very very very recently went into firehouse subs in Arden. No one acknowledged me. There were about five people sitting down waiting for their subs. I read the room and quickly I understood that it was busy, but no employee even looked at me as I stared over the register...no eye contact not once. Finally it got to the point where I had to reach out to the employee - "you look pretty busy how long do you think it'll be" and the answer I got was a murmur.. more or less .."it'll be a while" followed by a loud stress sigh -"not to be particular but about how many minutes" she looked up "30". Got home, opened up my order and the turkey sandwich was completely wrong. I called and told let them know that the order was wrong and asked for a credit. Manager said he was not able to credit the sandwich because that would entail deleting the entire order. In all fairness, he offered to remake the sandwich if I came back in to pick it up. That's not entirely convenient. I said that I really think I got someone else's turkey sandwich to which he replied "it was made exactly how you ordered it." That's went the conversation really went off the rails. I said no and he cut me off and said "listen to me, it was made EXACTLY ordered how you ordered it, so either come in or nothing." It was a rude response to which he replied that I was rude. I said I'd leave a review and he said you don't scare me and hung up. The hushpuppies weren't dry but it needed some kind of dipping sauce. The waffle fries were perfectly done but needed seasoning. Also got #14 with fish, butterfly shrimp and popcorn shrimp. Once again fried perfectly but needed seasoning. The coleslaw was nice and milkly. If you know KFC coleslaw then this was similar. All in all it was delicious and would be back again.
