After traveling to NY this summer and realizing how much I miss the frozen custard on summer evenings I remember from growing up, my family googled nearby frozen custard in our part of Georgia. We drove about 20 minutes to Culver's and that was worth it for fresh custard! They have lots of mix-ins which isn't what I'm used to but tasty. My son wanted french fries and they came out steaming hot and tasty. The onion rings looked perfect. The place was clean and tidy and the young people working there seemed like they were trying hard to please. Will be back! read more

As we have many times in the past, we ordered a 3-piece fish dinner, a 10-piece fried shrimp dinner, extra coleslaw and extra cocktail and tarter sauce from the Hickory Flat Culver's drive-through. We ordered just after 9 - they close at 10. We had another stop so we got home just before 10. I opened the shrimp dinner and saw a PUDDLE of grease as if there was no drip time from the frier to the plate. I took multiple paper towels to sop up the grease. We got only 1 cocktail and tarter sauce and a roll missing from one dinner. Ok, I can live with that - the excessive grease I couldn't. I called the location and after several rings realized it was after 10 - they were closed. I didn't get to sleep until about 6:30 am and slept late, calling just after 2. I asked to speak with the manager which was met with, "how can we help you?" I asked if he was the manager - "no, the owner." I described the issue and asked that the meals be replaced. "Yeah, that's not gonna happen." He wouldn't listen to any explanation of the timing, was rude, condescending and told me to have a nice day. Will I go back? You would be hard pressed to find anything negative to say about this place. It definitely isn't your typical fast food experience. The food is made fresh to order but it didn't take too long to come out when I was there. Then again, the lunch crowd was just piling in as I ate so be patient if it takes a little longer for your food. Trust me. It will be worth it. I had the bacon burger and fries. Both were equally tasty. The burger was juicy and seasoned just right and was served with a pickle on top. That was kind of odd, but whatever. I just took it off and put it inside the bun. The buns were soft but not soggy! I was amazed! The crinkly fries were lightly salted and very good. I topped the meal off with an oreo milk shake. It was delicious! I now understand why there was so much hype surrounding the opening of this location. Seriously, this is as perfect as fast food gets. I am ashamed to say that I will be a regular. Culver's - Burgers Near Me - Canton, Georgia

My lovely wife and I drove by, were impressed by the crowd, and decided to try Culvers. Neither of us had heard of them. We had a single cheeseburger, fries and onion rings. All were good, but the star of the meal was the fish sandwich. It was a large, flaky codfish filet. If you like fried fish, you should give it a try. It was much better than any fish I've had at any of the seafood specialty places. We were also impressed by the cleanliness and level of service. Everyone was very pleasant and helpful. We came here on one of the first days it was open, and it was quite an experience. We actually left from the lunch crowd due to a tired baby, but came back that night for dinner. After finally securing a parking spot, I waited with my baby for a table to open up while my wife put in the order. Despite the very long line, she actually put in the order before a table opened up, but thankfully a very kind family who had been playing peekaboo across the dining room with my daughter gave us their table when they left. The food was just okay. It was opening week, so the crowd just shows good interest in this place, which I hope continues because it is nice having more fast food options, I suppose. The burgers were called "butter burgers," which becomes more obvious when the grease-bombs come out to the table. The bread was so buttery that our daughter, a total carb-addict, didn't want to eat the bun. The fries were good, but for the calories in a small order you might as well just dig into a can of Crisco and get some vegetable content. The only thing putting this at three stars for us was the shake! My wife had the strawberry, and I had the chocolate; our daughter had a bit of both. We all enjoyed them thoroughly, so we'll probably try some other foods here once the crowds die down a little to see if it stays in the rotation for food or just as a dessert spot. From talking to others in the dining room, it seems that if you're from the Midwest this place is like In'n'Out out West: it's not that good, but it's nostalgic and only available in a few places. What can I say? The food is ok, I ordered a concrete mixer that was half melted by the time I got it. They are still working out the kinks but the real turnoff was when an employee actually displayed her frustration with working with "people who know it all". I know everyone has a bad day, but I didn't need to know what's happening behind the scenes. Working as a team is required in a job like this. If you aren't happy, move on to something else that will at lest put a smile on your face and some courtesy for your fellow employees. But all in all the burger was good but kinda sloppy and all over the place. Since Culver's came to Canton, GA, we have, on two separate occasions, tried their food. The first time was, we thought, going to be the last time. As regular customers of the Canton Cheeseburger Bobby's, we thought we would give Culver's a try as it was close to our home and we were curious to know what it would be like. From the time we arrived until when we walked out the front door, we felt we were merely a "number", and that no one at this restaurant really valued our business. To make it even more odious, its manager, when my salad came to me with cheese (after I asked for it not to have any), looked for all the world like I was asking him to give me my dinner for free rather than simply admitting a mistake had been made and correcting the problem. After this exchange, I got my salad with no cheese, but with a put-upon attitude from the manager for doing so. After this experience, we had no intention of visiting Culver's again. My daughter was an Honor Roll student at Indian Knoll Elementary School and received a free kid's meal, so we decided to give Culver's another shot. My family and I came to dine there again on Sunday, July 30, 2017. Because the chicken strips my youngest child ordered had a very bland taste to them, we agreed to allow her to order a hamburger. Our oldest child asked for one also, and my husband saw that he had a coupon for "buy one/get one free" for a hamburger. Our daughter walked up to the counter and presented this coupon and was told by the manager that she would not honor it as it had expired one month prior. She accepted the answer, but I did not. When I went to the counter to ask them why they would not honor this coupon, if for no other reason than as a simple courtesy, given the tasteless chicken strips it had provided to our child, I told her this really stank. Her response? "Have a nice day!" Once again, Culver's treated its customers like only a "number" and very little else. Frankly, the money that would have been saved wasn't the issue. The lousy service, however, was. Its competitor, Cheeseburger Bobby's, knows how to treat its customers. They: * Value their clientele, not just as paying guests, but as members of the community; * The staff is light year's ahead in Culver's in terms of customer service; * The management staff does not possess the lousy attitude that Culver's does; * The chicken sandwiches are fresh; * The chicken strips are fresh and don't taste like they came out of a bag of Tyson's; * Their condiments section is beyond compare; * French fries are regularly refilled for the customer; * Free custard samples are provided to its customers without even asking. This alone makes us regularly order full-size desserts for our daughters; * When we are finished and are getting ready to leave, the staff regularly thank us for coming. As a result, we regularly return. Ater giving Culver's two opportunities to show that it deserves our business, and after it has twice shown that it does not, we will not return. Have never waited more than 5 minutes for food here. Food is always burn your mouth hot, cheese curds, and burgers are absolutely delicious. They've never messed up my order either. (I tend tp drive-thru once a week) Staff is friendly, always smiling, and service is great. I love the pull forward and have a number on your door handle idea. Absolutely genius. Just wish the price was a little lower, however so long as the high price means I will continue to get amazing service, and no cut corners, I'll keep paying. I'm always willing to pay a little more to make sure staff is paid appropriately. read more

I don't know if the food is good because I couldn't eat it. Husband went to Culver's on Hickory Flat and ordered 2 butter burgers. Server asked do you want the meal, no do you want cheese, no. Nothing was said that he had to specify other condiments. Comes home with two patties between 2 buns and nothing else. Long story short when I tried to call ask ask if this was a mistake the manager accused me of "raising my voice." He then proceeded to lecture me that it was my husband's fault for not knowing how to order the burgers. Hung up. Went to the restaurant to ask for some condiments. The manager was so angry with me that he wouldn't let me speak and created a scene once again accusing me of screaming at him. This man has anger issues. I guess it made him feel good to berate a customer in front of other diners. When I handed him the burgers and said keep them and left, he called out have a good night. I'm super disappointed with my experience at Culver's. I've heard so many rave reviews that I just had to try it out with my family. My boyfriend got the double butter burger with bacon and cheese, it was overcooked and nothing special. I had the chicken strips which were ok but they tasted very rubbery. The mashed potatoes and gravy were tasteless and the texture was watery/grainy and that of an instant potato mix. The fries were the best part of the whole meal but sadly, they were cold. They didn't want to replace anything. $25 for fast food and I could get better at Chick-Fil-A or even McDonald's. read more

Hit Culver's tonight with my husband, and would return. Really loved their crinkle fries! I think these crinkles are way better than Zaxby's crinkles, just saying. We wished the burger patties were thicker...I know they were supposed to be thin but it seems overpriced to be such a minimal amount of meat...but even after getting it from drive-through and taking it home, you could tell it was still good. It's a shame that I have tried Culver's 3 separate times and each time something was wrong. That's 3 strikes, your no longer in my list of considerations. My suggestion is you triple check for food, actually open the box and see if you have a bun, crispy instead of grilled chicken or the tenders your child wanted. read more

This even after I explained I have used the same coupon previously and the staff member on the previous visit explained to me that the coupon was buy one get one any sandwich. Took too long to get our food, manager was very rude. Also ordered ice cream and it never came. Ended up going back up to the register and they said the flavor I ordered was not being served that day. I could taste the old grease in the sandwich for two days. Went to this Culvers to order 4 burgers and recieved 3 burgers and a Chicken finger basket. I told the owner and the kid at the counter who did not know what he was doing as he had to ask for help that I did not order the chicken finger basket. He and the owner adamently both said I did when my family and I both knew I did not. Good burger, but boring crinkle cut French fries. I can get these anywhere where the corners are being cut on fries. The shakes are artificially flavored and are exact duplicates of a Wendy's Frosty. It's a fast food burger joint. Similar to most fast food burger joints (e.g. Wendy's, Burger King, McDonald's, etc) with a couple of exceptions: 1) They serve delicious custard. It is fresh and very tasty. I am likely to make this a drive-through stop when the temperatures heat up; 2) When ordering for "eat here", they provide you with a number and bring your order to your table. I ordered the Culver's Bacon Deluxe burger with a strawberry shake. The burger was very good, tasted fresh, and the bacon was cooked to perfection. The shake was absolutely delicious. Fresh strawberries in the shake, and smooth and creamy custard making up the body of the drink. I also ordered cole slaw with my value basket, which was average. Also ordered at our table were a Wisconsin Swiss Melt, chicken fingers, cheese curds, and onion rings (all fried). Either the fryers were too hot, or the person attending the fryers was not as attentive as they might have been, because all items were overcooked. IMHO, it is an abomination to put cheese curds in a deep fat fryer (having lived in Wisconsin for a decade). Chicken fingers were tasteless, and the onion rings were below average. The absolute best quality for the money you can buy in the fast casual dining sector. Burger and buns blow away everyone else and with real cheese as you would expect from a Wisconsin based chain. And the Frozen Custard is at a level of richness ice cream can only ever dream to get to. I wish they had whipped cream for the true gourmet experience. I absolutely LOVE this Culver's. I go here about once a week as a treat to myself. The staff are super friendly. Management always has a smile. David is probably one of the most caring managers there and I can tell he puts his heart into this job. The management isn't the only thing great here, though. I often see Tim, the owner, coming in which gives me confidence that he wants this restaurant running top notch. I've come at different times of the day and the fries and food are always hot and the custard is to die for. I can no longer eat regular ice cream... their custard is THAT good. The best part of this Culver's experience, besides the food, is definitely the friendly staff that greet you the moment you walk through the door. I'm amazed that even though most of the staff are teenagers, they all seem happy to be there and always ready to help you with your order. If I'm having a bad day, I know I can go inside and come out happier because of the wonderful customer service here. Thank you Culver's staff for the awesome food and best of the best service!
