For a "fast food place" it didn't taste like fast food that I'm used to! The butter burger was so good and even the fries were crunchy and flavorful! The staff were also super welcoming and kind! I'm here at least once a week and rarely have any part of my visits go amiss. They have the best fast food bacon cheeseburger around. Sometimes I switch it up by getting their battered cod sandwich. The Culver's branded Root Beer is top notch. The service is quick and efficient, rarely an order takes more than five minutes to fulfill. While i usually go through the drive thru, sometimes I dine inside. The place is kept clean-even during rush times and the bathrooms are also very clean. Wonderful and clean and comfortable store with charging sockets in each seating area. The servers are sweet and friendly and the custard is so smooth and good. The chicken tenders were high quality white meat and came out nice and hot and the fries were nice and hot too. And if you fill out the survey on the back of the receipt you get a free item! You ate the steak twice. This store has a comedian who is a fan of Judge Judy. Let's examine the evidence. Ordered a fish dinner with fries. Asked for a medium drink. Fish came with mashed potatoes and coleslaw. Agreed to actually keep order, until realizing the fish was in a large puddle of grease and the breading was saturated with oil. Rather than draining the fish, it was given a sideway fling. A team member said they'd make the order again. Sent fish back without eating it. Second order of fish was served with mashed potatoes and coleslaw. I had wanted French fries. I was given a small order of fries. They were undercooked, limp and had no salt. I ate one of the pieces of fish. It was decent and the fresh lemon did help. Then I took a bite of the coleslaw, that was saturated in creamy dressing. It wasn't just room temperature, it was hot! This slaw is made with dairy, which can cause food poisoning if not handled correctly. I stopped at the first bite. In informed team members about the issue and threw the dinner out. Furthermore I said it was pretty expensive for a meal that I couldn't eat. It was then that the caustic worker made the snooty remark about "eating the steak twice." She said something about checking the kitchen. I didn't eat both meals, the first one was returned immediately. One piece of fish out of two was consumed on the second plate. I completely lost my appetite after biting into the hot coleslaw. At least the diet Root beer was good. read more

Thank you to the workers who made our 2 double butter burgers today! The drive thru was quick and after knowing what the flavor of the day was, I was about to order two scoops, but asked what the price of a pint was, and was told $2, it was a no brainer get the of pint of the Turtle. After paying a masked worker at the window I was handed my pint and a # was hung from my door and I was directed to pull over to the right and wait for my burgers and curds. No less than 3 min later another masked worker came to my window and handed me my bag. I wish I had a tip ready, next time for sure ill be ready to offer a tip. Always a great fast food alternative to your typical McDonald's or Burger King. There's not a lot of these in the city, with most of em in the Chicago burbs. Good to see one sprout up here in the past year... I guess I never reviewed it. If you never been to Culver's, they have a pretty large selection of food, from your typical burgers, chicken sandwiches, to your not-so-typical stuff like cod fish strips, cheese curds, and jumbo fries shrimp. By the way, their cheese curds are fire. Culver's beef butter burgers are always great. My go-to healthy self usually is the grilled chicken sandwich. They always cooked their chicken in a way where it's moist, and the chicken itself is a generous 4-5oz size. My kids love their ice cream there and the onion rings. Their kids meals aren't as "nice" as what you'll find in a Happy Meal or such, meaning, you don't get a free toy with each one, although you do get a free kid-size icecream cup. They do have a little voucher per meal, called "Scoopie Tokens", where if you collect 10 or so of em, you get a free prize of your choice, which usually consists of like a plush soccer ball or other little toy. If you're looking for fast food, but something different from a McDonald's or Burger King, definitely give this place a try. read more

Pretty good experience at this location today. I went through the drive thru, which wasn't very busy, and the girl who took my order was extremely friendly. I haven't been to Culver's in such a long time because I don't really care for their food, but when I found out they had a spicy chicken sandwich for a limited time, I had to come to this new, convenient location. Overall, this review can only be about my drive thru experience because it was my first time here, and it was very good. However, the way that you go thru the drive thru is pretty stupid in my opinion. I never knew that Culver's took your order, and then made you park in designated drive thru spots so you can wait there with a number. I would hate to be the workers who have to find the right cars... I've never had to do this at the Rosemont location, so idk of that's a new thing or what, but it makes the drive thru congested and hard to get out because so many cars are trying to leave the parking lot at the same time. The girl who gave me my food was different than the girl who took my order, and she was also very nice, though she seemed overwhelmed looking for the cars she needed to find. Luckily, I was in spot one right next to the door. Foodwise, the spicy chicken sandwich is amazing! I normally would get the spicy chicken tenders because I hate their butterburgers, but they should keep the spicy chicken because it's amazing. I haven't had culver's in years. I remembered that they were really good but I always kinda just pass them up. Me and the wife stopped in today, and I understand that's it's essentially just fast-food, but we had some great food. That's not the best part. The customer service was amazing. I'm kind of indecisive, even if I think I know what I want before I step up. The guy helped me decide what was a great choice, he was patient, and smiling the entire time. Previously I gave this Culver's a 5 star review. But if I could give it a minus any stars review I would. The hubby & I went there for lunch yesterday. There was no ice in the soda machines & we had to tell the lady working there about it. Also I noticed they no longer have salt & pepper shakers or packets. So, when we got our food it was full of salt & pepper that they add! Nasty! I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich with onion rings & a drink. Gerry ordered a salad. The onion rings were horrible. They put so much salt on them they were not edible. The chicken was not cooked & looked like it was braised on the grill for 2 seconds! Gerry took the chicken to the lady to show her. She was nice & did offer to make me something else. So she gets the star here. But I was ill after that & will never go to this location again. Usually Culvers are great but lately they are going downhill. I should have went to Chic Fil A which is very close by. At least their food is great & it is cooked & hot. read more

DELICIOUSNESS, RICH, CREAMY I met my friend at this particular Culver's because we were planning to see a movie, Monday evening, almost next door to Culver's. I rarely eat sweets. I'm not into eating lots of sweets (by choice). Welcome to deliciousness people. The Frozen Custard is rich and creamy. It was loaded with real fresh strawberries. I had their flavor of the day "double strawberries." I got 2 scoops and no food. I knew I would blow my calories by eating this frozen custard. The cost was a little over $3 but under $4 -- a good price point. The parking lot is very odd. Not a huge lot, but hey, it's free parking so who cares. Fast, down-home friendly service. I enjoyed the double strawberry double scoop custard. My friend had a mixer with hot fudge, pecans and caramel (similar to a turtle sundae). She said it was "very deeeelish!" I noticed lots of elderly people here. I overheard several conversations. I couldn't help it because they were talking loudly. I guess when you reach a certain age the topic of conversation turns to health, surgeries, MD appointments, death, selling a house, downsizing and adult children "drama" issues. I even heard a few elderly ladies complaining about their ex son-in-laws -- I don't want to hear about someone else's baby daddy drama. I thought younger people were gossip mongers, but these elderly people take it to the next level and then some! If I am ever at the AMC Norridge movie theater again I will stop by Culver's, but I will not make a special trip here. I can get frozen yogurt at my neighborhood Forever 21 (have only hit up Forever 21 twice, and it's walking distance to our house). However, if you live close to this particular Culver's, I highly recommend you give it a shot. They always have a different "Flavor of the Day." The price point is excellent for what you get. This franchise owner is lucky that I'm even giving one star . I'm only giving the one star because his franchise Bears the name of the corporation for Culver's . I recently went in there on March 1, 2023 to purchase dinner for my family as I often do . I've been coming to this restaurant for over 3 years . He was very rude, belligerent, and disrespectful and tore me apart after I paid for the dinner to take to go because I always ask for my fries without salt. I always purchase a family size fries and I do not want them salted because this restaurant puts a lot of salt ! A individual approach to me and identified himself as the owner by the name of leon. Well usually I would eat the butter burgers in a basket and their cod fillets are really good. But I decided to try the butterfly shrimp hopefully it's as good as it tastes. Before the Covid pandemic shut down indoor dining, I used to eat here on Sundays with the wife. Never had a problem with the food nor the staff. I see some negative reviews about employees not wearing masks, I haven't been there since the pandemic started but I can see the customers concern. Management should enforce mask rules. If you see unmasked workers and don't feel comfortable in eating there, then don't order, just leave. The consumer has the final say in whether to purchase the product or not. So with that being said, I give this place five stars because of all my previous dining experiences here. read more

Culver's 659 in Harwood Heights, IL has at least 2 employees not wearing masks AND handling food, on Dec 30, 2021 at around 5:00pm. Both refused to put one on when asked. This is deeply disturbing to me and I hope Culver's will take the appropriate action to reprimand. Beyond compromising the safety of myself and others during a global pandemic and the spike in Omicron, a highly more infectious strain, this behavior is in direct contradiction to IL governor executive order 21-22 which requires masks indoors by employees. read more

Lots of inefficient staff. Very young and more concerned with gabbing with each other. Food is typical for the chain. This location is a remodel of a previous Steak house. It is awkward with the restroom all the way to the front of the building. Small nook areas in the dining room makes it difficult for the staff to find you with your food. It's got to be the most awkward layout of a fast food restaurant that I have seen. They should have paid an architect. If they did, they should get their money back. read more

Culver's is the most reliable chain restaurant I've ever had the pleasure of eating at. In the years before they built Culver's in my area, they were a must-stop on any road trip in the Midwest. This location on Harlem is exceptional for their service, which has delivered, consistently and enthusiastically, every time. I visit more often than I'd like to admit, mostly due to the custard. They give great portions of mix in to ice cream (very important to me) and the wait time and prices are manageable. I want to shout out the drive through staff- they are super kind and professional and accommodating.
