Stopped here about 11:00 PM on a Wednesday night. Just starting to serve breakfast. Employees were far from being attentive. The manager gal was on the phone with her kids and counting the drawers at the same time. She was too worried about waking her son up to come pick her up from work as she was getting ready to get off. Also how she works 50 hours this week, not appropriate being on the front cash registers when I'm standing there needing help! In order through the Kiosk, which definitely needs updating. Only 1 of the 2 were working at the time. Also if you want to order no salt on the fries, no way to customize that on the Kiosk? Or if you want just LIGHT Ketchup on the hamburger, no way to customize! It would be helpful if this was fixed! On to the nasty food. Apple pie was so nasty, my dog wouldn't even eat it. My dog weighs 175# and eats about anything! The fries were so salty I thought I was in the ocean swimming and swallowed salt water! I had them remade with NO SALT! The cheeseburger was at best- okay. The breakfast Taquito with bacon was so GREASY I couldn't even hang on to the wrapper without it slipping out! So absolutely nasty! Only thing good was the shakes, then they forgot to give them to me and I had to go back in there and get them in the pouring down rain. I get back in there and the guy asked me for my receipt? I ordered on the Kiosk, so I didn't get one! The restaurant was a mess with dirty tables and the bathroom was filthy too. Needs a lot of help and education here! read more

It's definitely a pretty decent product when compared to every other national fast food burger. But let's get one thing straight right here and now. Any suggestion by residents of the Lonestar State or any other clowns that this place is on par with California's In-N-Out burger is PREPOSTEROUS! The service was pleasant and the dining area was clean and ample. But when it comes to the burger itself it's just slightly above average. An immediate clue is when you open the wrapper and see both pieces of added cheese not melted on the patties of your "double meat" burger. Fries are also nothing to write home about. Every time me and my family place an online order they end up taking a long time to even make food. and we pay a lot of money for our food too just for them to forget something. every time we order online they forget something. Last time they forgot buffalo sauce and another time we got Powerade instead of dr. pepper and this time they forgot fries. completely unsatisfied they need to do better. I ordered 2 orders of the 6 pack cinnamon rolls around 3 pm 2/27/26 at this location the person at the register was nice and friendly. Me and the group I purchased for tried the cinnamon, all eating off of only one cinnamon we did not like it. after the party we had was over I took them back around 12:30 am 2/28/26 the person at the register was great help she noted we will get a refund but she couldn't because they didn't have enough to give a refund in the register to come back today I came back at 12/28/26 at 4:30 pm I told this manager who was very rude named Carlos Medina Or Meldina that I was told that I would get my refund today , he ask what was the problem I told him the cinnamon rolls around was nasty and didn't taste right .His response was that is no reason to get a refund , I said yes it is he continued to argue no it is not . So when I told him ok I will talk to the owner his response I don't care who you talk to or call in a very rude voice. I called customer service they documented this issues now I have to wait. Stopped in to see what all the hype is about. I ordered the basic whataburger and fries. From order to getting food was 12 minutes ( kinda long for fast food) and considering it was 1:00. First impressions-burger was much bigger than standard hamburgers. Comes topped with mustard, raw onion, pickle, tomato and some lettuce. Cheese was .55 extra. "Fancy ketchup and Spicy " was offered. I liked the spicy ( hot sauce) The burger was rather thin and not too flavorful. In each bite I tasted more mustard and onion than anything else. Fries were Lukewarm when delivered. I finally got to try Whataburger. It was good but I don't get the hype. I tried the blue cheese bacon burger. It's not a staple but I love blue cheese so I couldn't pass it up. The burger itself is big. They don't skimp on size. There was a good amount of blue cheese and bacon. It was good but not the best I've ever had. The fries reminded me of McDonald's but without all the salt. They have 3 ketchup varieties and my favorite was the spicy. Not pictured, I also got a chocolate shake and an apple pie. The apple pie was also good. Not great. The chocolate shake was the real winner for me. Just an old school shake that really hit the spot and would be the primary reason that I go back. read more

I finally found a break in the long line of cars. I tried going inside but the indoor dining was packed. I think I was in the car line for about 10 minutes. Was it worth it? So frustrated with my entire experience here and this company. I will quite literally never come to any Whataburger again. I ordered on the app and cancelled the order immediately after placing (it gave me the option to add more items and to cancel BTW). I was never refunded and this company quite literally stole my money. Both the restaurant and cooperate have been d*cking me around for a couple of days. I called customer service immediately after placing my order. They said contact the restaurant, so I did. I spoke to the manager of the store, she said come in tomorrow and we will give you a cash refund. I was happy with that, so I drove 40 minutes to come get my refund. I walk into the store and am told by a different manager that they cannot do that, and to call customer service. So here I am sitting in the parking lot, on the phone with customer service who is telling me there is "no time frame" on when the refund will be processed. Why would the original customer service agent tell me to contact the store? Why did the manager tell me she'd give me a cash refund? Why did the other manager tell me to call customer service again when I came into the store. And finally, why after calling customer service AGAIN are they telling me there's no time frame on the refund. Thanks for an awesome experience Whataburger. Jesus. read more

I have tried Whataburger in Texas because my mother is a raving fan of the Breakfast On a Bun with japs. I decided to give the patty melt a try based on FB recommendation. Based on the menu photos I feared the bread may be a bit thick for my taste but found the ratio was fine. The patty melt is actually a double so I was not able to eat more than about half the sandwich. It was fresh and juicy with grilled onions, plenty of cheese and a mayo based sauce. read more

Went to the new location yesterday on Barry Road in Kansas City I ordered the jalapeno burger with cheese my wife ordered onion rings she got a Dr.Pepper shake and I got a chocolate shake. Only the drive thru is open at this point and although the line was long it moved pretty quickly (I recommend using the left lane it goes directly to the window) The onion rings were awesome I ordered the "meal" but my fries were not in the bag I went and spoke with the worker who is working the right lane and explained the situation and he went inside and brought my fries back which were hot and very good kudos for that. Although at this point I found the parking lot disorganized with arrows and cones everywhere we will definitely go back. read more

I had the jalapeño burger. Simply excellent. My wife had a single burger. Her discriminating taste was satisfied too. That's a change. Staff was friendly and responsive. That's a change. My grand daughters had kids meal cheeseburger and grilled cheese. They snarfed it all down. (Not a change). Bottom line is this: What-a-Burger is getting their act together. I went to Whataburger because I had a free burger on the app. I added cheese and it cost 50 cents. When I got my burger I started eating it, and couldn't find the cheese! I asked my waitress if she would bring me a piece of cheese for me to put on my burger. It was 50 cents! That was all I paid for it, so I had to get my cheese. Soon the waitress brought me a piece of cheese on a platter. I put it on my burger, continued eating it, and then realized... there was cheese on the burger the entire time... First let me say that I signed up for an account & received a coupon for a free Whataburger. This was my first time trying them because there's not a location close to my home - it was a 15 min. drive each way. I ordered online & requested curbside pickup because drive-thru wasn't an option. I arrived about 10 minutes early & a nice woman brought out my order about 10 minutes later - just on time. I ordered the free burger, and also onion rings. I asked for cooked onions & BBQ sauce (no mustard or raw onions). It was a 15 min. drive home, so the food was room temperature - hot their fault. The burger was big but blah. The bun was HORRIBLE - hard like it had been sitting out. I'm not sure if they heat the buns & it hardened as the bun cooled, but I don't think so. The chopped lettuce was sloppy & would be impossible to eat in a car without getting it all over. The onion rings were good & crunchy - obviously frozen (tasted like Ore-Ida) but better than some other places. Service and food is better than most fast food restaurants in this area (KCK - The Legends). Relatively new store so it's still clean and looks nice. Whataburger is wildly overrated in my opinion though, there are some decent items but overall doesn't live up to the hype. I have had multiple issues with this location forgetting items on my order - they have always made it right but make sure you double check before you leave, and also had a promotional offer via the app that wasn't processed correctly. My burger tasted cold and chewy and you could tell it hadn't been heated up all the way after not being thawed out. The buns were awful. Completely dry and stale. The fries were cold and had no salt. I went to this restaurant expecting a good meal and what I got was the complete opposite. I am 18 years old and have been ordering the same thing for 13 years of my life. I know what I'm ordering, but the lady serving me and my mother had the audacity to blame us for my food being wrong. I am gluten and lactose intolerant, and have been for as long as I can remember. The manager said we should've told the lady what we wanted, which is what we did. Even the drinks were wrong, and despite being given our food wrong twice, they blamed us. I walked in for dinner and really wanted a shake and was told they were out of shakes. Also, I witnessed several in correct orders. Okay, so they've been swamped and have struggled a little bit. However, the food was good! I had a double cheeseburger w/bacon and jalapeños! Very tasty! Onion rings and fries were hot and crispy. The signed Mahomes jersey in the lobby is a nice touch! My wife stopped at the new Whatabuger in KCK last night on her way home. I told her if it was super busy to blow it off but there were only six cars in the drive-through. It took a little longer than expected, but nothing terrible. We tried a variety since it was our first time. The burger was really good. The rings were excellent. The fries were not as hot as we would have liked, but that is to be expected when not eating in. I bet they would have been great if we were dinning there. The chicken strips with white gravy were awesome! I would highly recommend them. We will return again and try some of their other offerings. Finding enough good help in this economy is not easy, but it seems they did a good job all things considered. If the fries were hotter and it took a little less time to get through the drive-through we would have given them 5 stars. We were both impressed with the plethora of options on their menu.
