Using the app I placed the order and waited in the parking pick up area ( having used the app to click " I am here"). After 15 minutes I went inside and my order was just sitting there. I asked the person behind the counter why it had not been brought out to me and was told that next time I should use Door Dash for faster service! I took my order thinking this kid ( literally, no offense to hard working teenagers at all) doesn't have any customer service skills. Upon getting home of course items were missing. So with receipt in hand I headed back to Culver's and went inside, again. Showed receipt to person behind the counter and let them know that our order was missing two chocolate milks. I asked for a Manager and was told " there is no one on duty" he gave me the milks and I left to come home and make this review. I definitely am frustrated and not just with the terrible service, but frustrated with the lack of communication and deference to the situation knowing I had to come in to get the order , drive home and then drive back to get missing items. This is the best Culver's in Madison. I've been to every location multiple times and this is the only one that has consistently provided value for the money I spend. I usually order chicken tenders and a cup of chocolate custard with hot fudge and m&ms. I've gotten the smallest tenders at other locations but this one has never, except once and they actually added an extra tender to make up for the small size. Same with my custard, the other ones have often had not enough toppings but this one is always perfect. read more

Every time I think, "you know what I could go for tonight?" it seems like all of Madison has the same idea and we all turn up all Culver's! It's simple but we all know how good it is. I enjoy this location -- The staff is friendly and efficient and the food is quality. My typical order is Buffalo chicken tenders and fries with a mini concrete, chocolate with Oreos! I have of course had butter burgers as well when the time is right but I tend to order the same thing every time. If you want to get yelled at by "Auraria" who I suspect is a manager, this is the place to go. Bad business! My daughter and I ordered two waffle cones with one scoop . The cashier/server inadvertently made a waffle cone with two scoops and realized his mistake. He told this to "Auraria" and she told me because my daughter had already started eating the cone that I had to order a new cone (does that make any sense-was the server going to take back the cone if she had not started eating it...??) This was one of the WORST customer service experiences I've had. I placed a to-go order at the drive-through. When we decided to have dinner, I realized that they forgot to include 3 cheeseburgers of which I'd paid for--but there was no receipt in my bag. When I called the store to tell them, I was put on hold for a manager. When I explained the situation a second time to the manager, she put me on hold (again) to check with the kitchen manager to see if she remembered forgetting my cheeseburgers (I can't even make that up). She then told me that since the kitchen manager didn't recall it, there was nothing she could do. I paid by credit card and this could have easily been remedied by reviewing my receipt, but that wasn't even offered. In summary, the food quality was poor, I didn't receive half of my order, and was basically called a liar. Peace, out, Culver's. NEVER AGAIN. read more

A pretty reliable stop. This has been mostly a custard stop for me as opposed to eating a meal, but I've got no complaints about the food I've received when I do order more than a scoop - it seems on par with most Culver's locations. Booths have been clean, service has been prompt, and they do have some outdoor seating which is nice in the warmer months if you're not feeling the need for A/C. Upside: they offer some dollar deals like $1 root beer floats on certain days. I have been lured through the drive-thru more than once with their dollar offerings. Downside: the parking lot/drive-thru design is a pain - we've been trapped in a parking spot on more than one occasion because of the line of cars behind us waiting to get to the window; I've literally resorted to getting out of the car to ask someone to wait to move forward so we can back out and leave. read more

I know people are crazy for Culver's. It's an ok place for a custard, but I don't get the butter burger thing. Every meal I've eaten there just hasn't set well on my stomach--especially the "walleye" sandwich. I even tried a salad in an attempt to find something healthy. The lettuce was wilted and what chicken they had on top was uninspired and as dry as a shoe. I'll keep trying, though. I haven't had any of their soups, and if these are good I'm willing to rethink this review a bit. They are doing something right because they are consistently busy for lunch M-F when I am most often here. Sometimes the only parking available has been in the street & the drive through is always backed up regardless of the hour. But I always come back because they do a good job for me always getting my butter burger no cheese with the works plus a tomato correct. Dining room is always clean staff seems on point. My only complaint which is of no fault of Culver's is the fact there is no left turn arrow on Cottage Grove Road going west onto Lumberman's Trail making getting into Culver's from the east very difficult due to a lot of on coming traffic. This review is solely for Boston Cream. This is my favorite flavor at other establishments. I really like the donut, the pie, just everything. However, this flavor? Total let down. Culvers signature item is the Butter Burger. The name says it all. One time, I my eyes were bigger than my stomach and I ordered the triple Butter Burger and could not eat it all. Way too much food along with a small fry and large diet coke ( I was dieting at the time! haha!) Seriously, besides Wendy's, Culvers is the only fast food burger joint I will eat from. Really enjoy their service whether it's drive thru or dine in. The staff, while typically high schoolers, are very nice. Some things to note: 1. Pop (aka soda) is typically flat regardless of what kind you get 2. Drive thru on Fridays is ridiculously long. You cannot even get into the parking lot and resort to parking across the street a the Associate Bank. 3. They Walleye Dinner is seasonal but is also their 2nd best item on the menu. 3rd would be their chicken tenders which are 100% white meat and VERY fulfilling 4. Pricey. You can easily spend $20 for two people. 5. Flavor of the day typically sucks. Sorry. It's rare that I pass by and see a flavor I want to stop and order 6. Wish they would send out more coupons. Earlier in the summer, they will send out a variety of GREAT coupons you can take advantage of such as by one burger, get the 2nd free. Love it when they dish out them coops. 7. Not the biggest fan of their fries but they aren't bad. 8. Boring Salads. Not friendly to dieters!! Be warned. Culvers is a great family oriented restaurant to eat it. I love Culver's as a company, first. They are solid through and through. Each location varies a little, but I think, on the whole, the parent company does enough to keep the franchises in line very well. I've never been disappointed with any Culver's at which I've eaten. This location does everything well. I work near here, so I go here at least once a week for lunch, and have for probably the last four years. I have never had a single complaint. Even when they're busy, they manage to keep the place looking well and getting the food out fast and hot. The only knock I could issue against this place is the layout of their parking lot isn't great. It could get fixed. If you park on the right-hand side of the lot, you can get stuck in your space if there's a long line at the drive-thru. read more

Had dinner at 7pm Friday. The drive thru was very busy (as usual), but the dining area was slow (3 party's). Ate in with family. All had Burgers. The burgers were cold and dry through out, with the cheese slices not melted or even warm. It was clear that the cheese and bacon were just added before it hit our table. Advertised as cooked to order, these were obviously not. Was basically a cold meat and cheese sandwich, not a burger. COVID safety measures were in place, but a little confusing. It was not clear about condiments, or refill process. The fries were warm, but seemed undercooked. The staff was busy with drive thru, and not seem to notice in house guests with concerns. For starters they put frozen yogurt and ice cream it's frozen custard as the Milwaukee native I have eaten at a lot of Frozen Custard burger joints and Culver's beats them all the service is excellent the food is excellent it may take a little longer than McDonald's but it's so much better and the price is around the same as a McDonald's or Burger King you get a better quality meal for about the same money and they never screw you at the drive-thru read more

So i went to this culver's and was the intention of having a good meal. My mom and i ordered a breaded chicken sandwich. my sister got chicken strips. My mom ordered a sandwich with nothing on it. No lettuce, tomato, or pickle. I ordered mine with only lettuce. ONLY LETTUCE. we got our meals and my moms was perfect, the way she wanted it. My sisters, perfect the way she wanted it. Mine not so much. Mine came with only tomato. The server dude looked at our receipt and then said "oh yeah, only lettuce". took it back and came back with tomato on the sandwich and lettuce on side. like are you dumb. i said LETTUCE ONLY!! how hard is that to understand? read more
