Double bacon cheeseburger
Phil S.

Ok so I've been hearing commercials up the wazzu about Culver's thick cut bacon & I've been dying to check it out since bacon is MY FAVORITE FOOD. I've been craving bacon on their double bacon cheddar burger. While I love Culver's Burgers as one of the better mid priced burgers I felt like the bacon was far from a thick cut bacon that I'm accustomed to. But being said Culver's has a very good mid range burger. Obviously you can get a better burger but for the price I really enjoy their burgers

Went here for dinner and decided to pick up our food via drive thru and the food is always consistent. My daughter loves the chicken tenders so we go with the kids meal. Just a quick tip, make sure you check the bag on the kids meal because it has a coupon for a free frozen custard visit. The service is also pretty consistent. Love the selection of frozen custard flavors. What's great about culvers is they have an inside and outside seating and dining area.

Barely any ice cream and 2 gulps of water

I decided to treat myself to some custard. I went inside the restaurant to get it. I asked for a cup of the flavor of a day. Then I asked if I could have a cup for water. I couldn't believe the size of the cup of custard. I couldn't help but think that had II gotten the cone I would've gotten much more. Besides not much ice cream, there was barely any caramel or chocolate. The glass they give you for water has maybe two gulps of water in it. Shame on you Culver's.

Hmm, looks like I haven't had much to say about Culver's over the years but I can say I've been pretty happy about their products most of the time. And most of the time, if I'm having a sandwich at a Culver's, it's a delicious butter burger. But I deviated today and tried their pork tenderloin sandwich ($5.89). Sad to say, but this one was pretty average, on the dry and bland side, and cafeteria-like. It was likely sitting around a bit under a lamp. Anyway, the re-learning for here and many other places as well is - stick to their bread and butter, their butter burger that is.

I have been to this location many times in the last year. I cant seem to stay away from this amazing custard. The staff works very fast and efficiently to get the orders done quickly. Sadly the staff don't know how to add toppings to the stiff custard. Too often I will ask for toppings just for them to hit the floor before I can get the custard in my mouth. Often if I realy want the toppings ill just cave and order a concreat mixer, but thats not realy what I want. There isn't much parking in the little parking lot by the Culver's however there are sooooo many parking spots near by. I hope this was helpful. Remember to enjoy.

Honestly, the frozen custard was tasteless and without flavor. All full fat dairy with no sugar. Major suprise and disappointment.

The guy at the drive thru was rude. Their food wasn't that good. Their Mount Prospect location is way better.

While stopping through the area for another errand, we decided to make a stop at Charcoal Flame…read moreGrill for lunch. It's a standalone building with it's own parking lot. We didn't notice until our way out but they also have a drive-thru, and signs that say they offer delivery/are on DoorDash, so with multiple options, Charcoal Flame is convenient. This building looks like it possibly used to be an old 90s/00s KFC or Pizza Hut or something, but it's cozy and clean and we love an easy access parking lot. The menus are expansive and you order at the counter when you walk in. There are plenty of tables for dining in, and a few were taken while we were there. There was a steady stream of phone orders coming in for pick up, and the restaurant was busy overall. We were helped right away and the staff at the counter were so friendly. I ordered a Maxwell street sausage as a meal ($5 additional for a drink and fries) and my partner ordered the American Gyro sandwich and also as a meal. We grabbed a table and our drinks from the fountain machine and only waited a few minutes for the number on our receipt to be called with our order. The food here is so fresh and delicious. This is one of the best Maxwell street sausages I've had around, the bread was perfect and soft inside and crispy on the outside with the sausage split and grilled and perfectly sweet caramelized onions. The fries looked like they came in frozen/pre-cut but were fried up perfect and a generous portion. The Gyro came stacked with meat, it wasn't dry, and had great flavor. Because the food was so delicious I decided to grab a piece of baklava to go, which I was assured was homemade and delicious - and they were right. So sweet, fresh, textured, rich, luxurious. Don't skip the baklava when you stop by! This is definitely a spot that will be added to our regular rotation of lunch/dinner spots around town. Thank you so much Charcoal Flame Grill for a wonderful experience with super friendly staff! Can't wait to see you soon and try more menu items!

Than I read something on instagram that they serve the best gyros, I just had to swing by. I ordered their Gyros Dinner Plate and their Pork Chops Dnner Plate. I also got their Kefte Dinner Plate for my son Alex. Alex said his kefte plate was good. I, on the other hand, found my touted Gyros plate, kinda "meh". The meat was kinda bland, although those humongous greek potato wedges were awesome! I bought the pork chops for din-din with my wife later that night. Unfortunately, the chops were tough and chewy! I know it's tough to cook pork chops, but, they're a restaurant. You'd think they'd know how to cook pork chops the right way. So, in conclusion, it was a big letdown for me on this new find. I'd have to say that their servings are quite abundant, but It terribly lacks in taste and texture, and I don't think quantity equals quality here.

Une Annee is one of the reasons to go to this pretty boring looking suburb. Hit up the bar for some cold ones plus on site made food. The prices aren't bad for craft beers and kitchens. A pretty impressive looking building. It's big and can fit hundreds. This is like a massive garage with a bar and a kitchen. First though it's a brewery. It's about $6 a pint. The one I liked the most was the Twist Of Wit. It's a wheat beer with Cara Cara oranges, coriander, and Meyer lemon. Tasted fruity but not too much. Also we got some food, which was actually good for a brewery. Vegan options are limited but there's a few. It's $6 for the Veggie Chili. This is vegan without the sour cream sauce. Also there's barbecue. There's pork belly and that kind of stuff. Beers are the best things to get here. It also has food from an on site kitchen. There's meaty options like pork and there's chili for vegetarians.

The day we came happened to be the day of the Kentucky Derby (side note - I picked the winning horse, though I did not bet on it!), so there was a good crowd of adults and kids alike. Although we did not order any food, the food selections coming from the kitchen looked good. Our friend favors the smoked sweet potato dish. I did like the sour kriek, though the Fresh IPA was so good that we bought a 4-pack to take home. Service was pleasant and efficient, and there is also a spacious outdoor patio.

Flame On Peri Peri is a singular restaurant serving hot ass food. Kind of seems like it mixes American fast food with Mediterranean options such as chicken and falafel among protein options. This type of cuisine typically uses meat but there's a falafel option for those getting the meaty stuff. After hearing about it one time, I came here. It's located in a nice strip mall building, modern looking. This is an order at the counter type of restaurant. Has some spicy ass food. There's a sort of Mediterranean fast food kind of feel too. It's about $10 for one of the Rice Bowls. The vegan option for protein is the falafel. These were plentiful, a good value. Also you get a choice of sauce, and I got the creamy hummus. This also came with hot and white garlic sauce. It was fucking ass hot. This had serious hot peppers in there. For sure I would go here again. It's expensive so not all the time of course.
