Supposed to be cod
Brenda S.

I ordered my favorite two piece cod dinner today. The fish was short and it didn't have the breading it normally does. The texture was more like tilapia and I didn't like it at all. In fact, I ended up throwing it out the piece you see I had to fish out of the garbage to show you. I don't want you to make the same mistake I made. I was so disappointed. I asked the counter people if they changed their codfish brand. They said no.. They're trying to push this walleye fish. I didn't want that fish. I wanted my usual delicious cod fish. I told them I won't be back. The South Jordan Culver's is my favorite and they have exceeded my expectations in the past. I was so disappointed today!

Georgia peach

I ordered the bacon deluxe burger, buns & cheese were cold... the Georgia peach ice cream literally taste like dove soap. The service was good and [[HIGHLIGHT]]the atmosphere was chill[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] but the cold buns & cheese made it a bad experience. Midvale location is way better.

Big meaty portions. Quality food.

My first time at this location. Being from Washington state, home to fresh Ling Cod, I am always on the hunt for great fish and chips. I just recently my order and it smells amazing and looks delicious. Instead of fries and coleslaw, I opted for broccoli and mashed taters with gravy. Glad I did! The food arrived pretty quickly, so warm I could feel the heat from the plate. Two pieces of North Atlantic cod appears to plenty with all this food. First bite of the cod!!! Wow! Meaty, great batter that's thin not doughy. Just updated my initial 4 star to a 5! I found my new spot for fish and chips. I also got the 6 piece deep fried shrimp. Very hot, meaty, and fresh. I love how they gave plenty of cocktail and tartar sauce. Another note, when they rang up my total, there was no prompting for a tip. The young man helping me was very good Amd I wanted to... it's a Vegas thing. There was a soft dinner roll with that sweet whipped butter. I liked it all. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place is clean with plenty of seating, two and four tops and booths.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Christmas music playing for all to enjoy... Tis the season![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Man that was so good!

Terrible experience we waited for 30 minutes after we ordered in the drive through for 3 concrete mixers. Two cars in front of us we all waited one billion years

My very first time trying Culvers! It was surprisingly pretty good; I ordered the culvers bacon deluxe and made it a combo. I didn't know what fry sauce was, but it's apparently a utah thing which is basically a mixed sauce similar to canes, in n out, and chick fil a. I was rlly surprised at the service! The staff were SO friendly and they bring your food to you. I noticed on each table there was also a QR code, so I guess you can sit and just order through the code as well. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place I went to was pretty packed at 7PM; there were a lot of family and kids but it was pretty spacious with a lot of tables and seating![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Plenty of parking outside as well, definitely want to come back and try their ice cream!

It's a good burger, fries, and custard. I leave feeling satisfied, but not wowed. Their custard is good and pleasant to the taste.

Now that I have your attention and I've given you an ear worm, I'll share a story. My friends and I spent a Saturday on ísbíltúr, which is an Icelandic tradition of taking an ice cream road trip. We hit five different places around the Salt Lake valley and lived to tell about it; with only a slight stomachache. This one is a drive through with a small walk-up window and seating outside. It happened to be our last stop on our journey and was the perfect ending to our adventure! We ordered our cones at the window and then sat on the patio in the warm evening air, enjoying our final treats of the day. The patio is situated between two drive through lines, so the setting is a little unusual, but still good vibes. Blue Moo offers Blue Bell ice cream (IYKYK) and is generous in their portion sizes. There's a lovely blue cow photo op adjacent to the drive thru (logistics can be a little tricky if there are cars queuing up).

Blue Moo carries the iconic Blue Bell ice cream - a brand that isn't sold in grocery stores here in Utah. They had a great variety of flavors and each scoop comes in a cup AND a cone! We got the Oatmeal Cookie and Pistachio Almond. Both delicious! The prices were reasonable and the portions were decent. The staff were super nice and the tables outside were kept clean for those that want to stay and eat their ice cream. Can't wait to go back to try more flavors! P.s. there are a lot of Gluten Free options too!

Nielsen's Frozen Custard

Come for the Custard, Skip the fries If you've never had…read morefrozen custard, let me set the stage. It's similar to ice cream but denser and richer because it's churned in a special machine that incorporates significantly less air. It also must contain egg yolks, which many ice creams skip entirely. The result is a smoother, more indulgent texture that's in a category of its own. Nielsen's leans into that heritage with a menu that covers concretes, mix-ins, floats, sundaes, multiple sizes, and a full food menu straight out of a 1950s cafeteria. Nostalgic, ambitious, and a lot to choose from. I visited the South Jordan location and have to be honest about the full experience. The tables were dirty, the staff (mostly teenagers) were focused on the counter and not on cleaning, and the wait was long enough that I nearly walked out. The double burger was unremarkable, the fries came out unsalted, but the corn dog was surprisingly good. None of that is why you're here, though. The cherry almond concrete is why you're here. It is outstanding! Generous almond pieces throughout, and the cherry flavor tasted genuinely real, not like something from a syrup bottle. I've had frozen custard all over, and this is legitimately my favorite. My advice: skip the food, go straight for the custard. Nielsen's earns every star on that alone.

In this case, I think it is for the better, as you can have ice cream delivered straight to your door! A month or so back I placed an online order right around their same-day cut off time of 4pm. I was so impressed when a bagful of ice cream was dropped off at my door within less than an hour! We enjoyed the following: Rocky Road features a mild chocolate base and small bits of nuts, but I never found even ONE teeny marshmallow in the whole quart (I just looked up the description to make sure I wasn't mistaken and it definitely mentions those squishy white delights!). Fresh Peach Gelato boasts local peaches from Kuwahara. Tangy, but just-sweet enough. Not quite as creamy as others, but that is par for the course with most fruit based ice creams. Oreo has mostly fine Oreo pieces, but a lot. If you had asked me, I'd have guessed my preference would be larger chunks, but I'd be wrong. This is delightful! New York Wildberry Cheesecake gelato has a great, natural cheesecake flavor. The swirls of berry are rather sweet, but tempered by the tangy base. Chocolate Dipped Strawberry was a surprising household favorite with it's uber creamy pretty-pink base and stracciatella style dark chocolate. They offer a variety of flavors, with some seasonal. All gelatos were a bit harder than ice creams, which is no surprise given they have less cream/fat in them. I am sure if left at room temperature for five or ten minutes (as you are supposed to do for all frozen treats), they would be perfect consistency, but I never have the restraint to wait that long. We bought everything in pint ($5.50) or quart size ($7.50), but you know those long rectangular containers seen at gelateria's? YOU CAN BUY A WHOLE ONE FROM BON BON ($30)! Can you imagine how perfect that would be for a party? There is a $30 minimum, which is extraordinarily easy to meet, and a $5 delivery charge. Go support this wonderful local business crafting such delicious treats!
