I am not sure why this only has two stars... they're consistent, quick and friendly at any time of day my family and I have been. Dine in, order to take out, all been great and consistent with experiences at other locations. We battle between the Butter vs Deluxe burger. I favor butter, he favors deluxe. Onion rings are thin, hot and fresh. Crinkle cut fries are a go to as are the cheese curds. When you get super fresh cheese curds they're the absolute best. My son enjoys the chicken tenders and of course the free ice cream that comes with the kids meal. Culver's house root beer is great as is their iced tea. read more

I recently moved from WA to MI and this was the first stop I took to try.. then the second.. then the third... I've been to multiple Culver's every day since I moved a week ago. The food is the best fast food in the country ( and I've been to 48 states) the food is consistent, hot, fresh and beautifully seasoned. The staff is very friendly and the store is very clean! Almost every time we stop at Culver's in South Lyon something is omitted on our order, one of the burgers or no French fries ! At first we blew it off as"new restaurant, they will get the training right but it's still happening!!! I don't know why they can't get it straight! Color me red( I'm pissed) read more

This has happened so many times now. We tried not to get a bad review but this time not only the drive through order was wrong but also received very bad attitude from the staff. Sometimes it missed the fries, other time missed the 35 cent ranch and needed to drive back or needed to pulled over to walk back inside. It was my second time at a Culvers and I came solely for the walleye. I had heard it was pretty outstanding for fast food fish and chips so I thought I'd check out South Lyon's newest favorite spot. I ordered, a 3 piece dinner, a walleye sandwich and a 6 piece order of their shrimp, at 5:34 on a Thursday. It wasn't busy until 15 minutes into my wait. I didn't walk out until 6:07. Did you know that you can deep fry an entire turkey in 45 minutes?! To give props, to the fish, they were solidly meaty, nicely cooked filet portions. It was easily enough for two people. The fries were just OK and the slaw was good. The shrimp though...highly recommended. I'd come back for the shrimp. They were really crispy little fatties with a panko type coating that was lightly seasoned. I'd had the burger before and it didn't leave me restlessly craving another taste. I did see the (very) high def menus while I waited though. I gotta say, Culver's does market well. The pretzel bites and the cheese curds did look pretty incredible. Do those take 33 minutes to fry too? In all seriousness, the pork loin, the pot roast and the Reuben sammies all caught my interest. I also like that they had mashed potatoes & gravy, and steamed broccoli on the menu, but it was kind of fussy...the whole Culver's experience, at least at this location. read more

Update Jan 2023: I ordered 14 burgers and fries today. I called ahead and the manager, Jeremy, and staff were awesome from start to finish. This is a clean restaurant with super-friendly staff and fresh food. What more do you want? How about delicious butter burgers, crispy chicken and custards with fresh toppings?! So many choices! I love Culvers, but this one - ouch! I've had fish dinners dripping with oil so bad that I've had to return it- for another oil soaked fish dinner. I've never had that issue at other locations. I want this location to succeed, just needs some improvement. read more

I'm a little shocked of the other reviews, since I've never gotten my order wrong here, yet if you wanted to go to any other fast food on this street, you had a 50% chance of a simple regular order to be wrong. Food is great but not worth the consistently poor service. Let me preface this by stating that we have never eaten inside. We have only gotten takeout either through the drive-thru or at the counter. We gave this location a chance after eating several times at the Culver's in Brighton/ Green Oak. The service has never improved. The order has been wrong every single time we have gotten take out. They seem to have a bunch of young kids working there who have not been properly trained. There is no attention to customer service whatsoever. Currently online they are looking for an assistant manager. I read the qualifications and job outline. They want to make sure that take out orders are ready in 5 minutes and drive through orders are ready in 4 minutes. What a joke! 20 minutes on average at the drive-thru but usually closer to 30. We thought they would have these bugs ironed out by now but it has actually gotten worse. read more

Arrived at the location to order based on coupons received in mail. I informed the person taking my drive thru that too. Arrive at window to pay and coupon and card was taken. General Manager and employee arrive back stating that these coupons are fake and will not be honored at this location by the owner. Employee decided to attempt to charge my card for the full priced items, thankfully I asked them to stop in time. Called corporate, they informed that the franchise owner is the one that authorized the coupons to be delivered in the mail. Dishonesty first of all. General manager is stating incorrect information which reflects poorly on the owner if indeed isn't the instruction of the owner. Employees should first ask if the customer wants to continue full price purchase or cancel order. read more

Had a single burger yesterday that was unrecognizable. Being unfamiliar with them, I didn't know you have to order your toppings. So I have had food from this culvers before, and it has been good when I dine in, but carryout has been very disappointing. On more than one occasion, I've had to just toss the food out. I've never complained or asked for my money back, but I just accepted that it's hit or miss. But today was unexceptable, I ordered online for the first time, and my husband went to get the food. When he got there, it wasn't ready, and they had him pull up. The food still wasn't ready 10 minutes later, and when they finally brought it out, they forgot our drinks. So by the time they brought our drinks out, it had been another 5 minutes. My husband got home with our food and I got my mushroom Swiss burger and onion rings out, they were ICE COLD BABY and my burger didn't have the mayo on it I had ordered, so it was dry, but somehow the bread was soggy and the cheese was cold and unmelted. But you know what wasn't Ice cold? My half iced tea half lemonade. It was lukewarm with very little ice, and it was watered down tasting with very little lemonade. My husband had the same drink and the same complaint, but he added that it left him more thirsty than before he drank it. I know employees are hard to find and whatnot, but they really need to do something. read more

I love Culver's Fast Food Restaurants Usually. But the Commerce Twp. Culver's was the worse one I've ever been in! I've been to at least a dozen! There was 3 of us at 2p.m., We ordered 3 cheeseburgers, 1 onion ring, 2 fries and 3 drinks! The food was cold, everything! I got and onion on my burger that could have been used for a dozen burgers! All the open tables were dirty! The place was a mess, I went to Use the bathroom, and just before entering I read the bathroom sign talking about cleanliness, and then I walked in and it was a dirty mess, paper everywhere all over the floor and in the stalls there was no toilet paper! I thought I'd just tell the Mrg. , give them a break, after all I owed Restaurants for years! They told me the Mrg was to busy, and what did I want? I just left! I won't be back to that Culver's For-sure! I'll stick to the Waterford Culver's, it might be a longer drive for me, but well worth it! The two places are like night & day in difference! Culver's - Kitchen - Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt Near Me - South Lyon, Michigan

I normally LOVE Culver's as their food is always delicious and customer service has been on pint but this Culver's is so unorganized and the customer service just isn't there. Just went on my lunch break through the drive thru. I ordered one kids meal that was it. They asked me to park in front of the store because the spots were filled where you normally pull up. I did as they said even backed into a spot so they could see there was a person waiting in their car. 30 minutes later no food and people behind me are getting theirs and leaving. I finally go inside and the guy said to the cook please make this kids meal. Like where was it? It took him less than two minutes to make and put my meal in a bag. You didn't see me waiting where you told me to. There was no apology and I wasted half of my lunch for one freaking kids meal. This is the worst customer service I have ever received at a Culver's. Won't be returning to this location! Save your time and money and go somewhere else! read more

I didn't know they were opening up in south lyon until I had driven past. Very friendly service and great, fresh tasting food
