    Raw burger meat
    Nicole G.

Yikes! This was my first time ever sending food back and asking for a remake in my entire life. My burger was served to me raw in the center. Upon entering we noticed they were quite busy but there were still seats open and the kitchen crew really seemed to be hustling. Ordering at the kiosk was simple and smooth. It's nice being able to click on things and see close up photos and descriptions. We waited about 15 minutes for two ShackBurgers, two fries - one Parmesan with garlic sauce, two lemonades and a shake. Our order arrived to us accurate. We began eating and after two bites I realized my burger was not cooked - see photo. I was instantly nauseous. I wasn't going to ask for a redo and was going to just eat my Parmesan fries but after thinking about how much I paid for the burger I decided to ask the worker when she went by how long it would take to remake my burger because it was raw. She took one look and swiftly went back to the kitchen. It took roughly 5 minutes to get a replacement that arrived piping hot and fully cooked. This was my first visit to the ShakeShack and now I'm disappointed and unsure if I will return anytime soon. The lemonade was tasty but the amount of ice in the cup made it feel like there was barely any lemonade in the cup. The Parmesan fries and garlic parm dipping sauce was fantastic. I thought the restaurant was relatively clean for how busy it was. I think the tables made of reclaimed bowling alley wood are neat. It just really stinks that I was served a raw burger because now the whole experience was unpleasant.

shake shack is always a win! every time we go, the food is fresh, hot, and so satisfying. their burgers are perfectly juicy, the crinkle-cut fries are always crisp, and don't even get me started on the shakes they're the perfect treat to top everything off. service is quick, even when it's busy, and the whole place has that casual, upbeat vibe with an outdoor patio perfect to relax and enjoy your meal. shake shack never misses and it's always my go-to in a pinch!

They have customers make their order on a tablet. Kind of crowded on a Saturday evening but luckily we got a table to sit at. Food was okay. Shake was delicious. Customer service was nice.

I will never stop raving about the spicy korean cheese fries, hands down the best fries I have ever had! The korean bbq sauce it came with was so unique and addicting. The shackburger never disappoints as always and the frozen custard was pretty good. The service was quick but there was a confusion in my order so it took a while to come. The place is big and clean. This is definitely my fave burger spot!

Came here around 7:30 on a Saturday night. It was not very busy. We waited about 10 minutes for our food. Ordered a shake shack burger a bacon, avocado burger, two orders of fries, a chocolate shake, and a shackmeister ale that we were told was brewed, particularly to match with my burger. My burger was cooked just right, with a little messy because of the toppings, but was an excellent burger. Fries were crispy and hot and of course the beer was delightful!

Shake Shack is dank. Our food is always made fresh and served piping hot. There are multiple locations in our area, but we usually hit the Ann Arbor Shake Shack. The smash burger is so delicious! The beef is always so fresh and flavorful with a perfect crunch around the edges, just how we like. The crinkle cut french fry is always cooked in fresh grease, so the only taste is the amazing flavor of the fry itself. I wash it down with a refreshing root beer. This combo brings back memories of childhood. I tried their chicken nugs- so tender & flavorful. Don't forget dessert! The shakes are the best. I always get a strawberry shake to finish off- fresh strawberries in a nice vanilla ice cream- so good! If we are doing, "Fast food," I prefer Shake Shack. It's never frozen and consistently the best "fast food" burger! You must give Shake Shack a try, you will be hooked!

I finally visited the Ann Arbor location to actually eat. It is a nice location, I like that there is a good parking situation and it is surrounded by some fun shopping options. So we decided to make a night of it. We came here for dessert and I am glad I did. This season's shakes are from Milk Bar. Going through the line they have most of the classic dishes. I like that this location has their classic red and white wines and their beer. I am a fan. It looks like they added a rose, which I will need to try. When we ordered our shakes I was not a fan of the cashier attempting a small up-charge move. She asked if we wanted whipped cream and other options that might have cost more without telling us the price would go up. Now I am all for options, but I would like to hear "..do want whipped cream for $$$ extra?" I actually asked if it was more and she replied yet. I have never been to a Shake Shack where they have tried to up-sell me. We got the corn flake milk bar shake with marshmallows, the chocolate birthday cake milk bar shake, and a black and white shake. The milk bar shakes were filled to the top in a clear cup but when we opened the black and white it was only 3/4 full and had a huge gap. We did tell the staff so they generously gave us a cup of a bit more without question which was nice. The milk bar shakes were good, but not their best and not my favorite. I liked the flavor profiles but they were not the typical thick shakes and not as good as some of the other seasonal favorites. They usually have a pumpkin shake we get at this time and that was missing this year. I am also sad that Michigan has not regained the concretes which were my absolute favorite. I truly hope they have not been permanently removed from the menu. That was a big reason why I frequented Shake Shack. I understood it made it easier a year and a half ago, but now that most menus at most restaurants are back to their full versions I would consider going to Culver's that has a full choice of concretes and a similar flavor. They also have not brought back the chicken dog which was a favorite when my kids were younger and would still order if they were available. I am not sure I would go back to this Shake Shack over some other locations. I look forward to the Rochester Villages location to open. That one is closer to me and in an area I frequent more often. So as soon as it opens I will be there.

    Korean Fried Chicken sandwich

I saw CNN article about Shake Shack bringing Korean menus to the states side, so I decided to swing by during lunch. I ordered online via DoorDash for pickup. I got the following: - 2 orders of Korean Style Fried Chicken sandwich - 1 order of Korean Gochujang Chick'n Bites (10 pcs) - 1 order of Black Sugar Vanilla Shake So my thoughts? - Sandwich - fried chicken breast, on top of coleslaw and topped with gochujang sauce in a bun. Yes, very simple, but at $7.49 a piece?? It's worth trying once and that's about it. The gochujang sauce is on the mild side, most likely to meet the American taste bud. Overall, it was decent, but not something I would go out of my way to buy. The sandwich itself is very small, I would recommend you stick to their burgers. - Korean Gochujang Chick'n Bites - to be honest, couldn't tell if this was a new offering or not... the chicken bites looks the same as their original offering, I think the difference is that they offer the gochujang dipping sauce (I did not get the sauce, they only gave me ketchup) - Black Sugar Vanilla Shake - as the name states, it's vanilla shake with black sugar mixed in. Overall, try the new chicken sandwich, but would just stick to their burgers.

I absolutely love a Shake Shack moment. I like that there's a good variety of options and I really love their milkshakes. Burgers are always flavorful and just right. My faves are their cheese fries and the shroom shack, however the smoke shack is my usual go to. The peppers have such a delightful kick to them! I will say for what you get, it is a tad overpriced but obviously not enough to deter me from enjoying their deliciousness! Pick up over the last year has been a breeze. Food has always been ready on time and staff is friendly and helpful. I did prefer the pick up table they had set up prior to in-door dining being open again. Pick up is still easy but I have to walk through the whole space and all the inside diners

Yelp…read morehas allowed me to chronicle these adventures, serving as a repository for my dining memories. Echelon has now made it to my exclusive list of 5-star restaurants. I readily admit to being a tough reviewer - very few places earn a 5. Allow me to share some of the reasons: Service was stellar. The staffers were professional and friendly. They quickly brought out each course and cleared the table efficiently. They were tireless in answering my many questions about the ingredients. I prefer tasting menus. For me, after the first few bites, my taste buds get fatigued. The six-course tasting menu, with its complex flavors and textures, kept me interested throughout the meal. The dining room was spacious and well-appointed, without being stuffy and overwhelming. I loved the table groupings and comfy seats, whimsical wall coverings, oversized lighting, and wall of windows. I believe the tasting menu changes; I had: - A bite of brick dough (I had to look it up) pastry, served with a tart, faintly bitter rhubarb soda for a palate cleanser. - The Kanpachi crudo arrived with smoky fanfare. It was served with agua fresca and droplets of chili oil, topped with watermelon radish. I loved the fatty, slippery fish paired with the acidic, fresh, and spicy liquid. - My favorite course was the wood-roasted maitake mushroom in a shoyu glaze, topped with shallots, with a red pepper sauce. I wouldn't have minded a main entrée of these savory, meaty mushrooms. - Next up was the sesame seed-encrusted shrimp toast on Japanese milk bread. It was served with lobster bisque and tiny lobster tail skewers. I am very familiar with deep-fried shrimp toast, a dim sum staple, and loved the novelty of black and white sesame seeds. The bisque was rich and flavorful, while the lobster tail was sweet and delicious. It was such a variety of flavors on one plate. - I never had Cappelletti before and enjoyed the pasta stuffed with a manchego-ricotta mix. It was served with more mushrooms (yay!), buttermilk froth, and fried shallots. - The restaurant considered the Wagyu bavette the star of the tasting menu. While I liked the tender beef, peppercorn demi-glace, potato croquettes, and creme fraiche topped with bacon, I still preferred the mushroom course. - The grapefruit granita and compressed grapefruit were another nice palate cleanser. - The dessert was as beautiful as it was creative. Sunchoke ice cream and crispy sunchoke straws enhanced the chocolate hazelnut flavors. I only wish a duck course was available on the day of my visit. It was offered a few weeks earlier.

I came back for lunch excited to experience it again, and while the staff was just as warm and the environment just as great, however, this time the lunch menu didn't quite live up to my expectations. They offer salads, sandwiches, mac and cheese and similar American-style comfort food, which is totally fine, but for a restaurant of this caliber I was hoping for something a little more exciting. I ended up ordering a salad with added shrimp, which was absolutely delicious, and a pomegranate rosemary lemonade that was incredibly refreshing - perfect for a summer day-. But if you're not in the mood for sandwiches, salads, or mac and cheese, your options are pretty limited. My suggestion: keep doing everything you're doing because the hospitality and atmosphere are truly special, but consider expanding the lunch and dinner menu for those looking for a heartier or more diverse meal.
