Supposedly the oldest inn in Michigan (1831), this is a good place to stop for beers and bar food. We got a few beers and some fries and fried pickle chips. Prices are great, service is fast and friendly and the fr pod was hot and fresh. Lots of locals watching the Tigers. Good spot.

Stopped in for some beer and apps on our way through the area. Ive been wanting to go here since I heard it was the oldest bar in Michigan four years ago. It did not disappoint. We grabbed their pickle chips and beer. The breading was perfect. The beer was cold. And the staff was so friendly and kind. We were there on a Friday around lunch, so it was a quiet lunch crowd. I'd imagine this would be a fun place to hang in a weekend or evening.

Hell yes, the food is great, beer is cold, this is the oldest bar in Michigan they say. If I want to impress someone with a burger and beer spot they never fail to impress it's good every time unlike so many places hit or miss. This place always hits. Yes, for sure I recommend this spot for a great burger and cold beer.

Low key, casual vibe. Food is great and drinks are generous. Our waitress was excellent. All of the waitstaff seemed very friendly.

Fish and chips on Friday are the best in town although it's a difficult trace to make compare to the burgers, which you're the best around

I tried 3 different kinds; pulled pork, pulled BBQ chicken, and angus beef. They were all excellent! So tasty and lots of flavor for such small sandwiches. The sweet potato fries were delicious! Great flavor with a touch of cinnamon sugar coating. Yum! Two meals plus a beer was about $38 plus tip. Definitely will be back soon!

Having said that, if it had come with pickles it definitely would have amped up the flavor profile of this burger and made for a better sandwich in my opinion. Possibly something to keep in min d and ask for if you go the Burger route. Aside form the burger, I ordered an Old Fashioned with Makers Mark Bourbon as the base for my cocktail. The drink was well made and quite tasty and a deal at $11 in my opinion. Aside from the burger there were an assortment of food options that I would classify as Elevated Bar food bordering on a Bistro style Menu that looked very interesting. Nice! The bar itself has a dark vibe to it to go along with the Western accents making for a nice ambiance to enjoy your drink/food. Plenty of tables running along side their massive bar and numerous TV's scattered about to allow you to watch the big game. Staff is quite friendly with good follow up throughout the meal. Overall a nice place to enjoy a well made drink and grab a bite to it. Its central location in the business district is also another huge plus if you want to make an evening of it in downtown Brighton.
