I'm surprised this restaurant has any bad reviews. Take a look at the line at the drive-up window at noon! Those aren't new customers day after day. If you want fresh fast-food their burgers and fries are spot on and reasonably priced. The food is solid and the staff is friendly BUT if you go through the drive through ALWAYS check your order for completeness. We have twice in a row gone through and each time, significant parts are missing. With today being national double cheeseburger day, I figured I'd tell you about the amazing double cheeseburger I had at Culver's the other day. As a Culver's virgin, I've never experienced their butter burgers and after 12 days twice a day of driving past their billboard here in SPI, mom and I journeyed out to give them a try. We each ordered our own double cheeseburgers, one medium fry to share and a small salted caramel milkshake. The person taking our order at the drive through was smart by saying "would you like ketchup or cheese sauce for your fries?" Cheese sauce of course!!! Thanks for asking!! Drum roll please.... I took the first bite of my first ever Culver's butter burger and instantly fell in love. Where have you been all my life Culver's?!?! The bun is super fresh and soft. The burger has those delicious crispy edges that are amazing. Since it was my first time I didn't know what came on the burger and got pickles, Mayo, and mustard only bc I knew I didn't want ketchup or raw onions on it. Now I know I can just say minus those two things and I'll get lettuce and tomato too! The fries were piping hot and crispy as I munched on a few during our drive back to mom's house. Then when we added the cheese sauce to the party, the fries were just that much better! With everything being made to order, and because of that they give you a number to put on your drivers side mirror and let you know where to pull up to wait and for a few and someone bring your food out to you, this fast food option is doing everything right. read more

Most Culvers food is ok. Good taste good ingredients. I eat there often despite the problems. The service vary from 1 location to the next. The service most of the time is good if you eat in. The restrooms are usually clean. It boils down to the manager. I've had wrong ingredients on my orders. Damaged products dirty restrooms poor service long wait times . If you drive through and leave the premises with the wrong items you're in trouble. You have to get back in line and basically start over. We revisited this Culver's today for lunch. I had the double bacon burger basket with crispy fries, and my husband ordered the single bacon burger. We did not double-check when the CSR gave us the total but we wondered why it was over $20.00. The food arrived quickly, and we realized we had been charged for two double burgers, not a double and a single. Even with the excellent food, requesting crispy french fries was a big plus. Four of my stars are for the food, but the extra factor that bumps this place up to a five is staff, and in particular a manager named Kyle. I don't think I have ever encountered anyone who seemed happier and more well-suited to his work. I was in Springfield on vacation and visited this Culver's twice, a few days apart. Kyle helped me both times and was such a joy. On my second visit, I was wearing all blue, the color of employee uniforms, and he joked that I looked like I was there to work. Everyone I encountered was friendly, but Kyle raised that to a whole other level. As for the food, Culver's is always great. Their turtle sundae is amazing. read more

Just left Culver's with a 1/4 inch thick bacon cheeseburger. The bacon was thicker than the burger, but the vegetation was not skipped on. There had to be a wedge of lettuce on it plus tomato and a half inch slice of red onion. The burger was flattened so as to create a char I assume but I prefer more than just a char on my burger. Where was the juicy meat, sorry the juicy got squeezed out in favor of char. Where was the meat for that matter, flattened to a near cinder hockey puck which was somewhat difficult to find amidst the lettuce. Bacon had almost no taste which is hard to do to bacon. Fries were hot and fresh but saltless and near tasteless. AND I got it all for a mere $10. Mc Donalds has bigger burgers for less money. read more

Where we live, we don't have this company! I was so excited because I LOVE custard! Its denser then regular ice cream, and I was so excited at the list of options you can add to the concretes (it's like a blended ice cream desert with candy pieces in it!) !!! We came in and we definitely filled the cafe! The blue shade this company has chosen gives a feel of nautical inside! Odd because we are so far from the ocean! Once we ordered I noticed a huge display of prepackaged custard options and I begin to wonder the price! After watching three employees clock out and take their meals around me, I had to walk over to a staff member to help me! When I asked about the prepackaged, she mentioned that they were buy three get one free! I was so pleased so I did just that. My custard order (chocolate with Reese's and brownie pieces was SO GOOD!) The other prepackaged ones I ordered I'll post in the photo here. I want to come back and try the burgers. This location isn't very clean and their lobby could use an update! I suggest addressing the obviously under cleaned store! Culver's appears to be a Midwestern gem. A step inside is like a step back in time to an era where things were much simpler. Although it has the modern amenities, the decor is retro. The employees are friendly. We ordered a Salted caramel frozen custard treat, but they have an alternating flavor of the day. I do not recommend going here to eat because they do not care about their employees when they are sick they make them come in no matter what or they get threatened to be fired in the management is terrible one of my friends worked here and she got verbally abused and when she stuck up for herself she got fired instantly and it was really cold out and she did not have a ride and she got kicked out of the building and she had to sit in the parking lot as she was leaving she was crying they tell the employees during the interview process what they want to hear just to get them and then they treat them like dirt when they work there they have favoritism and if you're not one of the favorites you get treated horrible. read more

My favorite sandwich so far is the Original Cheeseburger, the deluxe burgers aren't worth the extra money. Staff has always been real pleasant and courteous as well. Culver is one of my favorite fast food chains. I would eat there every Sunday after church if my family would let me. Well...maybe not every Sunday, but two out of three. The place is always clean. The atmosphere is nice. Seating is easy to arrange if you have a large group. The staff is very friendly. Really good burgers. I also like the buffalo chicken strips. If your not worried about calories then you should definitely have the fried cheese curds. (Actually, if you are worried about calories you should skip all the burger joints.) The frozen custard is awesome. I saw someone in the forum complain about greasy food. I had to shake my head. This isn't a health food restaurant, it is fast food. Anyway, that's my take. I like it. They take the time to hire quality young people from all backgrounds and they all display terrific attitudes towards the public and I don't see a lot of that in other fast food places. This is currently our favorite Culver's; however, it is quickly becoming almost to annoying to eat there. Lunch hour the noisy vacuum is run about every 20 min. While it is running no conversation can occur because it is so loud. It would also be so helpful if they would begin using the posts to zigzag lines. I'm sure there is a name for these queue lines but not sure what it is. Lunch hours it is hard to get in the door because everyone is huddled at the door waiting for the next cashier. Really good fast food restaurant. This is one of the better Culver's I've been to. They are usually quick about taking my order and getting me my food. The quality and accuracy has always been good and consistent. My only real criticism would be the menu is somewhat confusing to read and look at. Simplifying it with numbers or not having what looks like two different menus would be nice. But that's not really a huge problem. They do get busy on peak times so plan your visit. read more

Careful when applying at Calvers especially if you have a disability like Autism or any other minor disability. I had Autism with a type one called Asperger which means I have difficulty with communication and socializing. I like to try to be independent and god bless certain jobs who have the patience with people like me. I told the manager shakabe before he hired me and he said it's ok and I was hired. In the end I said something about my pay while joking around and I didn't know or even get warned and I was fired. I came to get my paycheck and was told by shakabe that I wasn't allowed on the property. Then the GM called and I told him what I was told and he said I am allowed with shakabe lying and denying he didn't say that. Of course the manager never lies cause he's the manager so why believe me and my sister who heard it straight from his mouth.
