i'm actually so irritated. we have never had anything but issues getting sauce with our order. issue was so common i figured it was the chain, but it's truly just this location. we've had no trouble getting the dang honey mustard from the culvers on the other side of town. instead of working double overtime to ask a bunch of questions at the speaker, can we focus on actually fulfilling the order the first time? i don't want to have to double check your work before driving away like i'm your teacher. i'm not on the payroll. I worked here got fired over changing my availability to be able to go back to school and get an education when I was hired I had Hot pink hair and was told it was out of dress code so I changed it because I thought i was in it for the long haul, then last week I called and asked one of my managers if I could dye it a dark red that wouldny be noticeable, he said yea that's ok so I did, I went into work today and got fired because managers aren't on the same page and because I changed my availability, I still ah open available Mondays and sundays, just can't work till 5 on every other day. apparently that's not good enough. read more

This place doesn't enforce workers to wear gloves. My only visit there was horrible. Not only did I see a worker without gloves, my food took 10 minutes. There is alot of talking and not enough focus on getting food out in a timely manner. When you only have so much on your lunch break to get food, you don't have time to waist. 3 times, same girl, similar issues. Generally it is just getting drinks wrong, went to a new level today. Order two meals, both with unsweet ice tea. She had me repeat it 4 times at the speaker, twice more when I got to the window. Even then, when handed the drinks I asked"unsweet, right?" and was assured they were. Ok, they will most likely be wrong. In vehicle by myself, no offer of drink carrier. Now to the sandwich... Ordered no pickle, no tomatoes and extra onion. Get home, one tomato slice and one, yes one, slim ring of an onion. People gripe about the prices at another nearby hamburger chain south down the road, but orders are correct everything, Wendy's cost more if I have to 1. Drive back or 2. Go through each and every part of my order, disassembling each sandwich. The other Guys end up cheaper when you add in all the problems. My first time ever visiting this Culver's my daughter and I were high on edibles. I get back spasms so I got a medical card ;). My beautiful husband drove us to go get ice cream, and it was the best ice cream i've ever had. I had little oreos in mine and my daughter had caramel in hers. Unfortunately the service took a dive tonight! We ordered our food, was asked to wait in a stall and there we sat for far too long before we were brought out a half melted shake & concrete mixer, but no food. The young man apologized for the wait and was about to walk away without giving us our actual food order until we asked where the food was. He said he would go check and came back a short time later to tell us we didn't order food. Imagine our surprise that we paid $17 for a shake and a mixer and no food. We explained our order and what we paid and he once again said, I will go check. He never returned. My husband ended up walking inside to follow up, only to realize the young man must not have said anything and instead hoped we would just go away. Luckily, the manager stepped up and got our food out quickly. Very disappointed tonight!! read more

The Culver's in Sycamore has the nicest employees. They were so courteous and hardworking. I was pleasantly surprised to see Magic Matt making balloon animals and adding to a nice family friendly atmosphere. My children are adults now but I remembered him from over a decade ago. I ordered a concrete mixer and had pieces of plastic mixed into my concrete mixer. The lid or dome on the top was cracked and broken when I received it. As I was eating I found pieces of plastic in the mixer. I called Culver's and was put on hold for 6 minutes. I called back and finally someone picked up. I asked for a manager and was told that sometimes the steel blades hit the dome and it breaks off but they are trained to inspect that before serving the food. Obviously that is not true. I was offered a refund and had to talk to another manager Caleb who said they can't refund my money. Terrible customer service and lies! read more

This Culver's location is phenomenal with its friendly and helpful staff and the cleanliness of the restaurant. It's always been a pleasurable experience. I feel it's better than the DeKalb location. I was looking forward to Culver's on a recent visit to Sycamore. Verdict: two stars on food and four stars on service equal three stars overall. Pork tenderloin sandwich tasted very "processed" ... meat was flavorless and had way too much breading. Poured myself a Pepsi but something must have been switched as it tasted like a diet drink. DH liked his sandwich ... at least he didn't leave any in his basket. Since I didn't finish my sandwich or drink I had room for a hot fudge sundae. Custard was not special. Tasted like DQ. read more

Alright, so this location is pretty good. I have to say that every single time I go in here the staff is super friendly! Over the top customer service. Most of them are local high school kids and they do an amazing job running food, taking orders and just being very courteous. Overall the food is decent for fast food. It's hard to give 5 stars to any fast food place but Culver's does pretty well and not sucking with their options. Last time I was in there they forgot my napkins, straws, BBQ sauce and the flavor of the day was wrong. But honestly I didn't really care about that because I got Peanut Butter Cup instead of some raspberry chocolate ice cream or something. And peanut butter and chocolate are the best. So whatev. On average this place is way better than most fast food places. Prices reflect but it's better than Taco Bell or something like that. We don't live near a Culver's, we live by *the best* Culver's. The food is always great and the service is outstanding. They train new folks and there's no lag. We've seen them deftly handle difficult situations, sponsor awesome community events, and serve a packed house efficiently. And it's all done with a smile. Speaks to good management from the top down. Example: I just ordered 3 custard treats, stumbled on my way out the door and dropped all 3. Saddest mess ever. Went in to reorder and the person at the register remembered that I just ordered the same, and talked to the manager. He said "no charge - accidents happen!" Let me begin my telling you that I am NOT a fan of fast food. But I make an exception for Culver's. Besides, Culver's cannot really be classified as a "fast food" restaurant, instead it's a "fast casual" restaurant, which is something between fast food and casual dining that promises a higher quality of food and atmosphere than fast food. I would have to classify Culver's something of a guilty pleasure. The meals here are far from healthy but I find them positively delicious. I'll go in (or drive up) and I'll order something along the lines of a Double Bacon Butterburger Deluxe, a side of cheese curds and a small Oreo concrete and devour it happily, but then I'll spend the next two weeks running miles upon miles each day hoping to even myself out. And then when I feel I have finally worked off all those extra calories, I'll go back and start the process over again. It's a sad, sad situation I find myself in. Forget McDonalds, Burger King or Wendy's, when you find yourself in a burger fix, I highly recommend Culver's. *wipes drool away* read more

Culver's? More like stupidver's. I was served by a young lady by the name of Julie. I ordered the double butter burger basket. I specified that I needed the burger to be free of condiments, for I truly believe that ketchup is the spawn of satan. I said no condiments because I still would've liked the lettuce, tomato, and a nice crisp onion. I received my bag of greasy goodness, but to my despair.... 2 completely plain greasy patties in between 2 wet slimy buns. No cheese, no lettuce, no tomato, no crisp onion, and no condiments. This is a pretty standard Culvers location. The place seems well kept, and service is alright. My boyfriend and I have been here a few times and prefer it over the Dekalb location. This location has much faster service, and friendlier service than than the one in Dekalb. This is a good spot to go to if you plan to visit Blaines next door. read more

I want Culver's to move all the way west, especially every time I hear people hyperventilating about how "great" In-N-Out is. But I realize that this will and should never come to pass, due to the institution's uniquely Midwestern nature. Unfortunately I drive by multiple times since I live in the neighborhood... so we get custard quite often! I wish they hadn't gone digital with their sign, it was always fun to see the odd combinations like "tuna salad chocolate eruption". Anyway, this is fast food, and they do a good job getting it to you relatively quick but always freshly made. One of the high points for me is the always incredibly friendly staff. I mean seriously, always. They never are having a bad day. But it's not annoying, it's great! And I do like the custard, it's fresh and creamy and rich. Cheese curds are always yummy with some mustard, and their bacon burgers are what I normally get when I'm craving a burger I don't want to cook myself. I have always loved Culver's. I first had a butterburger in WI. So, having had one in Sycamore has been great. Not just "fast" but very good food quickly. The cod fish dinner is as good as you can get at most restaurants. This Culver's is always very very clean and the staff pleasant. My choice for best chicken tenders, great onion rings, cole slaw etc. !!! Always good and hot burgers and fries. It is so nice to see a place that has pride in what they do. read more
