The folks working are attentive and helpful, especially with 2 young kids. The space is mediocre. You're not coming in for atmosphere but it is comfortable and fits the vibe. Burgers were pretty tasty! The best experince was watching the owners interact with my three boys who were particularly obnoxious as we were dining in. Yummmmm! First visit ever. I was immediately greeted upon my arrival. My takeout order was made fresh and well worth the wait. The chocolate shake is soooooo good cold and flavorful unlike that warm fluffed with air shake you get at other places. The strawberry banana was tempting but I'm glad I chose the chocolate. The hamburger was freshly made with all the good ingredients of your choice. The kids meal hotdog was nicely grilled with a side of their yummy fries and a small drink.The gold sauce is a great fry dipping sauce. The O fries were really good. Stopped here for a late dinner and didn't know what to expect as thought it was fast food. You can order up front and they bring it out to you and everything is cooked to order behind the counter. It wasn't super busy and took about 10-15 minutes to get our food, so that was a little weird. I ended up going with a grilled chicken sandwich and fries. I thought it was good, but not great and fries were ok as well. Big fan of their dipping sauces, especially the honey mustard and Chipotle Mayo. It was a pretty good place for a burger. Freshly made, quality ingredients. I wasn't a huge fan of the lettuce as I prefer iceberg on my burgers. Onion rings were quality, great flavor. We opted to try the tots. We grabbed take out so the tots needed to be crisped up in our toaster oven to enjoy. I was hoping for more of a deep fried, crispy tot crunch which was lacking, but very well could blame that on the takeout. Love all the options of sauces. My guy got about 4 on his burger, lol. One was noted to be on the side, but wasn't. We also asked for a side of ranch with our tots, but that wasn't granted as well. Only ketchup was on option ordering online, funny because you could get most sauces when ordering onion rings. I'm OK with it because I really didn't care for the flavor of their ranch. Not too happy! 20 min wait for a cheese burger? The manager or owner/cook was rude and mean to his employees in front of the customers. The cashier had gloves on and was taking cash and cards, also cleaning/picking stuff up off the floor, fixing her hair and face mask, then straight to helping build the burgers!!!! Our whole baseball team came here last Saturday as it was supposedly really good last year. So understaffed. One cashier who also made $4.99 malts. My son ordered strawberry banana but received chocolate banana. I suggested he return it but he just drank it anyway. Everything was made 1-2 at a time and our wait was over 30 minutes. The Way back is a great place to eat and the food is tasty. I went here with the family and we ordered kids chicken strips, kids hamburger, and I had a grilled chicken Caesar salad. Our cashier was very friendly and are order was taken quickly. We sat at a small table and the kids quickly noticed bat they could color on white paper with pictures on them which kept them occupied. There was a little bit of a wait but someone had ordered before us and the food was prepared before us. There weren't any microwaves or anything like that- the food was fresh and delicious. I've delivered them for Doordash, In the smell in my car has always been delicious so finally my wife and I decided the other night to get a couple of burgers. We each hot a Cheeesy burger with mushrooms. My dear friends I believe I had at top 5 Burger experience. The chef pulled out 4 fresh balls of beef and smashed them on the grill, he then butter grilled the buns, the added cheese and cheese and cheese and cheese. I got this greasy, cheesy crispy hand held chunk of heaven. My wife and I quickly devoured our burgers we contemplated going to get a couple more but unfortunately they closed in the time that it taken us to eat the burgers. I finished it it was delicious but now I was little depressed that it was gone. We will definitely be making many more trips back to Wayback Burger. The atmosphere here is a fun place like they are trying to look like an old diner and for the most part is great atmosphere We ordered a burger each and shared the chili cheese fries it was more than enough food for us and the food was delicious. When we first got there I thought the quality would be like a Culver's or Burger King but these burgers are grilled in front of you and they are delicious!
