Yes, it's not as luxurious to shop in, it's usually mobbed, the aisles are tight and the parking lot sucks. Produce is not as great in some items, and they don't carry as many super-speciality foods as Whole Foods or Stop & Shop. However, the people who work there are amazing. They are abundant (try almost every checkout line open during rush) and helpful, and friendly, and the store is well stocked and well managed. No self checkout crap. You don't need it, there's always a line open. We'd kill for an upgraded facility like the nicer newer Market Baskets that do exist, but our Bellingham store crew, from the managers to the baggers are amazing, and make shopping here worth the visit. Their meat department is wonderful, the seafood is great and if you can get near the deli, they work hard and are great too. Finally, a shout out to the bakery and prepared food folks - they are awesome. The food is great and they couldn't be more helpful. We love MB, just wish it was as a new one.
