    Seasonal Special Scramble
    Kiana B.

I came with a small group for breakfast and we had no trouble finding seating, even on a weekend. There is both indoor and outdoor seating, as well as a self-serve water station inside. Food is brought out to tables, which was really nice. I ordered the seasonal scramble and a banana bread latte, both of which were really good. Everyone else in my group loved their food and drinks as well.

Something has changed at this cafe. Once my favorite cafe in Towson I was there the other day and my experience was pretty lackluster. I feel like ownership might've changed. I know their upstairs restaurant sold the Atlas group and rename to perennial, but that has since closed. the café, though I thought had stayed the same, but it looked like a whole different group of employees when I walked in. Their breakfast menu skews very heavy and I opted to do a biscuit sandwich because it felt like the smallest item there l, the coffee I think is from ceremony - the espresso was fine. The biscuit tasted really mass-produced and almost cafeteria. It wasn't bad. I just remember their food being really elevated and unique. I will say, though best part of Cunningham's was a service. The staff was really friendly.

    Iced white mocha latte

I really liked the ambiance of this place. I went on a Tuesday around 12PM. Service was fast and I could see many people either choosing to sit inside or outside, not just taking carry out. Iced white mocha latte 4/10: Tasted watered down to me Farmhand breakfast 5/10: One, I wish this was hot when it came out. I felt like there was too much salt overall in this meal even after mixing it all up. I'd be willing to try this place again as I had a sip of my friend's chai latte and thought it was good

    Iced apple pie latte

The Apple pie iced latte was amazing! So happy to have fall coffee flavors that isn't pumpkin! It was perfectly sweet and leveled out with the espresso. The location is in quaint area of Towson. There's parking across the street in a small lot, but gets filled quickly. There's lots of space to get work done in the cafe and there's also outdoor seating. The service was great, they were informative and nice. Will definitely be back to try more items

    Tiny toast

Cute little place in a little downtown Towson. Very busy for brunch time and they do serve breakfast all day. We got avocado toast and a cup of soup. The avocado toast was $13? And it was miniature. They must really want you to be skinny here because there was not a lot on this plate. It does come with one sunny side up egg, which is helpful for sustenance. Overall, the flavor was fine but they put this harissa yogurt on it and it's very overpowering because there is almost no avocado on this toast. Really could've used an element like arugula or some micro greens or some goat cheese. The tomato soup was the soup of the day was actually delicious. Did need little bit of salt, but that's just my preference. Portion size for four dollars was very good as well, but it comes with no toast or bread or crackers and they want you to buy pretty much a loaf of bread on the side if you need it. While the soup was very flavorful. It definitely needed a crispy or chewy element to it . Overall, it was a fine spot because of limited options, but I'm going to expect we're going to need another meal sooner rather than later and I wouldn't go out of my way to come here

    Blueberry muffin, ICED COFFEE
    Gloria N.

Local bakery cafe that's super popular in the morning! For this visit, I tried their blueberry muffin and iced coffee. I enjoyed the blueberry muffin as it wasn't too sweet and the crumble on top of it added to a nice texture. Iced coffee was nice and strong. I came around 11 am so there wasn't too many loaves of bread left but I managed to pick up a rosemary lemon loaf which looks delicious!! Service was good too and super helpful in answering my questions. Despite a long ish line, it went by really quick to order. Ambiance is nice too with indoor seating and outdoor seating. It definitely seems like a pretty popular location to meet friends and family so definitely check this place out!

Super cute breakfast spot. It looks more like a coffee shop. The number one perk for me is that they open early. I tried the Masala Chai Tea and a cheese danish. The staff were nice and welcoming. They are pet friendly and have a cute puppy wall with photos of pups.... Too cute. The down side for me was I was given a cold danish. Not sure if they offer a warm pastry option or not. They also have lunch so I'll be back to try that.

I've been a customer of Cunningham's for some time now. The cafe is a wonderful, local option. I'm a fan of their breakfast burrito paired with a hot latte. They also have a full menu of lunch items as well as daily and seasonal specials. The atmosphere is very low key and relaxing. You can sit outside with a book, friends or inside with a laptop. You can Bring your dog, too! The cafe itself has indoor and outdoor seating. Staff are pleasant and the space is very clean. They have a dedicated lot that does fill up quickly, so plan for that. You also have the option to call ahead and pickup. I've done this on occasion and the food is just as god when I get to my destination. Great local business to support!

This is a Towson staple I missed while I was at Loyola, so I'm happy to make up for it now. The café is absolutely adorable, the enclosed patio is beautiful to sit and enjoy your coffee and a bite to eat in the sunshine. I noticed fans and heated lamps installed in the ceiling, which will be so nice as it gets chillier and people want to enjoy themselves outside. The staff are all great, I only saw young college-aged people working and they were all so nice, friendly - and incredibly fast! Almost all the tables inside were occupied by people chatting and eating, but the noise levels were still perfect for studying, a date, or sitting in a corner reading. The breakfast burrito was really tasty and hit the spot and satisfied my breakfast craving. It's packed full of eggs, avocado, home fries, black beans, and pico de gallo. Not spicy at all (for the heat-averse readers), super flavorful, very filling - highly recommend! The Baltimore Turkey sandwich was the perfect rustic sandwich with avocado, lettuce, bacon, and cheese. If you're looking for a tried and true classic, this is your sandwich. Both of our hot drinks were delicious. The masala chai tea latte was perfectly spiced and with creamy, smooth sips. The latte was really tasty and well frothed, much better than a Starbucks latte.

I absolutely love Cunninghams! I used to work in the building above the cafe so it was super convenient to go down and grab some food. The employees are always super welcoming, kind, and helpful. Some of my favorite items are the avocado toast, any of their beverages, and pancakes. Their sandwiches and fries are also delish. The prices can be a bit high but the food quality is amazing so that justified it for me. Also- if you are a student if you show your ID you can get a bit of a discount! Love this place!

This is the mixed berry pancakes and a breakfast sandwich.

Very disappointing, have been to this cute little spot in Towson a few times.. and each time the food becomes more mediocre at best. The front staff who takes your order is very welcoming and friendly but what I really also would like is good presentation and quality for food you pay a little bit more for, since this is a bougie cafe in Towson. I paid basically $30 with tax and tip for two small pancakes and a tiny breakfast sandwich (not sure what I was tipping for as the only thing the runner does is bring your food to your table, we bus our own tables and go inside to place our orders. I like to tip but I think when you go to a cafe that wants you to tip I would expect a little more assistance similar to a restaurant) The pancakes were seasonal and supposed to be mixed berries, yet came out with only a few blueberries and one sad raspberry, I was told there would be strawberries but did not have a one. No other fruit and some melted whipped cream. Very unappealing for paying $13.50. And they Sandwich was about the size of a deck of cards and dry, very bland. I was hoping this place would pick back up as the last few times it's been trending downward. Sunday was not that day.. and might be my last time visiting them.

    Breads

In the heart of Towson, Cunningham's Cake and Bakery is just a mere block away from the hustle and bustle around the busy Towson circle. There is a parking lot across the property, alternatively you can comfortably park at the mall or on the streets and have a nice brisk walk to the bakery. I discovered this bakery for the sole purpose of finding a local "sourdough bread plug", and boy am I impressed! Breads are first come first serve and typically sell out in the morning or early afternoon. The staff are friendly and helpful with your orders. The food is delicious and light, a great spot to get your day started over a quick brunch.

    Biscuits and gravy with bacon

Indoor coffeehouse, outdoor cafe. Fast service. Great employees. Good food. Coffee came in light or dark and both were strong. Biscuits and gravy had some heat and was a perfect serving size. Nice place to come with a computer. Wifi is available but couldn't find the password. Great spot to spend the morning. On a Towson U building on the ground floor. This place is a students and community spot.

Strawberry Mascarpone wafer French toast: 15/10-The PERFECT "I want something sweet" choice without indulging in cereal or ice cream. The strawberry and light cream were heavenly. We love the ambiance and watching the people outside. The vanilla latte was perfect. The grilled chicken avocado sandwich my wife had was so chewy. Unfortunately we ordered this same sandwich to go for her mom and we she opened it up the sandwich was burnt on both ends. Look at the picture. So crazy they would allow this to go out. I did call and spoke with Bronson who was so accommodating. He did say he would refund the sandwich. Sadly though my mother-in-law was left with a burnt sandwich. Yes, we were offered to come back to redo the sandwich but it's 20 minutes away and it was just after the snow storm so needless to say we respectfully declined. We'll still come back to this place because of the people working there more than anything else. It would be nice if they get their cooks to be more thoughtful and pay attention to what they are doing.

The area near the front window almost feels like a private table. It was definitely giving a great vibe. We checked the menu prior to picking this place and they had EXACTLY what I wanted. I had a big ole brunch of their Grand Marnier Strawberry French Toast which was a three stack of THICCCCC cut Texas bread. It was better than I hoped for! And I brought at least half of it home, because ole greedy butt over here also got the platter with the home fries (I asked for onions and got this caramelized onion topping that was almost a jam. Yummm), the bacon and the eggs your way (scrambled with cheese). My companion had this big ole omelette with a lot of veggies and shared my french toast. The sauce they served with the home fries was sooooo good - it was almost like Heinz 57 sauce but with less of a vinegary bite. The jam that came for my English Muffin was delicious and praise GOD they served butter that wasn't ice cold and unspreadable so yeah hella points for that. For the mimosas, we did the "buy the carafe and the bottle", with a carafe of cranberry juice and a bottle of Cava Prosecco. I love its vibe - casual, homey, a little eclectic. The service was also very good. I had a Bloody Mary and their Hangover Hash (fried chicken livers, two eggs sunny side up, home fries, pork sausage gravy, really hot sauce). The Bloody Mary was classic, and I enjoyed it. My meal on the other hand was so-so. The gravy had good flavor, and I thought the home fries were well cooked as well. But the chicken livers were way overcooked for me (they had that chalky texture they get when they're overcooked), which always makes me sad (chicken livers are one of those things that are great when cooked properly but pretty awful when cooked poorly). Just based on the cook on the chicken livers, I would not order the dish again, but I also didn't get the hot sauce at all, and the dish really could have used some acid/brightness since it's a heavy dish. Everyone else enjoyed their meal. I ordered something a bit riskier, and it didn't pay off, but the other dishes seemed hits with my husband and friends. I did enjoy that their menu has some less common brunch items on it! It's not just the same dishes you can get on every brunch menu in the city: duck benedict, shrimp and grits, scrapple benedict, pickle brined fried chicken sandwich... Overall, it's a brunch spot with some traditional, homey charm and a more interesting menu than the average brunch spot. I'd definitely be willing to return and try something else if I'm in the area.
