This place had been a staple of my early high school years and recently tried it again15 years later. My inital reaction was disappointing because my memory of what was didnt meet my taste buds of today. But the more I began to think about it the quality and styles of pizzerias we have now far exceeds what I grew up with. That being said it's a solid neighborhood pizza joint. Ordered a cheese pizza as I always do in new places to taste the quality of dough,sauce, and cheese. They use a pan method followed by finishing it right on the deck. Pizza was good. Texture of crust was tender and had good chew. Not much flavor. Sauce was forgettable and tasted like they use a blend of cheese which did give it some additional flavor. The girl at the counter was super nice and friendly. She answered any questions I had. That is probably about the ONLY thing that came out of this experience that was pleasant. I ordered a simple steak & cheese calzone to split with my bf. The cook said he needed a half hour because they were busy. After 45 minutes of patiently waiting. I believe the total was $16.64. Mind u, this was no teenager cooking back there. This was an older man who may or may not have been the owner. We were super nice to the staff so I just don't get it. Anyways, after a long day and a empty stomach I was excited to fill it. What a mistake. I would have rather ate Taco Bell! I was truly disappointed. My bf ate it cuz he doesn't care. Lol. He will eat anything. Clearly, all the greasiness didn't sit well with him. Since, right after he ate it he was in the bathroom But, I believe you should get what you pay for. I wish I took a picture before, but I was so hungry, I dived right in. There was hardly ANY steak in the calzone. The few pieces of steak I did have I couldn't even eat. My only qualm would be that they take a really long time to deliver and that I wish they were open until like 11 because if it's past 10 in the area there is literally NOBODY who will deliver local. As far as first experiences go, this place is great. I'm obsessed with pizza and always cautious when trying new places. I recently moved from Providence and have been exploring the pizza options in the area. If this place also touts consistency, I'm sold. We ordered take out which came promptly, cooked perfectly, and was above our initial expectations given the little info we could find. Customer service was great at all interactions including the chef calling to make sure our admittedly particular pizza order had been recorded correctly before preparing it. My partner and I are both over the moon. We found our new local pizza place and they give most of my favorite Providence pizza places a run for their money. read more

I've been stopping there for about a year to get their grinders. They are not close to my house but on my route to my rental property. Their grinders are great so today I got a pizza. I arrived early and paid for the pizza and he asked that I wait outside due to covid. He then brought my pizza to me outside as I walked about the parking lot. The pizza was top of the line, good price, cooked perfectly. But when he asked me to wait outside it told me this guy is smart and cautious and he is now at the top of my list when I'm in that neighborhood. Thank you thank you thank you. Man I wish I could give 4.5 stars. OK so it's funny because their rivals Famous Pizza around the corner you would think has the best pizza. And you would think an Italian place would have better subs right? Or is that just me? Who knows.. Point is Cuozzo's has the best pizza. It's definitely better than Famous however Famous' subs are on point. Moral of the story if you want delicious New York Style Pizza go to Cuozzo's. I've had their white pizza, as well as some by the slice and it's the best pizza for miles (to Atwells at least). I think I'll go get a slice right now. My only complaint is that they charge $2 delivery fee and on the menu it says "Please allow up to an hour". Most pizza is cold after an hour. I'm not sure if it's the driving or the cooking that they're anticipating taking so long but I would suggest you go pick it up. read more

Tried this pizza place last weekend and was very disappointed. The buffalo wings and buffalo tenders were soggy mush. The meatball calzone was an inch and a half thick of ricotta with a handful of soggy meatballs within a not crusty crust. We had 4 friends over and everyone ended up tossing out most of their plates and choosing hunger over eating more. The pizza wasn't too bad. I have no specific complaints about it- but it wasn't great or anything. I will admit that it was superbowl Sunday so they might have been stressed out or something, but when I picked up the food it was slow in there. read more

I called in an order for pick up, was told it would be 30 minutes. I've been there numerous times so I knew it would be longer. I showed up 45 minutes later and stood there for a solid 10 minutes before even being acknowledged. The lady at the counter is far from pleasant. I waited another 10 minutes for my food and checked my order because it looked like something was missing, I was right. I waited another 10 minutes for them to correct my order. Well over an hour after calling it in, I had my order. Got home and the pizza and grinder were cold because they were sitting for so long. I'll take my business elsewhere from now on. read more

So... My son (3 year old) and I went to my friends house to work on my car... Figured it was a good reason to get a pizza. I ordered 2 pizzas and a bottle of soda before going so it would be there not long after I arrived. We spent the entire time outside in his driveway so we definitely would not have missed the delivery, not to mention, we were starving. I was told about 40 minutes (which I though was pretty reasonable considering we are all still dealing with the Covid 19 quarantine situation. I started in on my car and eventually realized it had been an hour and a half, so I called them (I figured they must have gotten busy at the same time and it wasn't a big deal at this point as long as my food wasn't far). I was told it had already been delivered. Interesting because I have been outside near the street the entire time and I still have no food. But I am pretty reasonable, so I found out he went to a completely different house on a street with a similar (but not the same) name. I expect (and was told) I would be high priority now with this issue (which it seemed like over the phone and negotiated a 50% discount for the mix up). I was told 30-40 minutes. Another hour later, I get a call from the delivery driver telling me he is at the house, which he was not. From where he was, I needed to be his gps to get him to where he needed to be. He finally arrived with Luke warm (at best) pizza and said it was on the house (the best part of the entire experience. read more

Cuozzo's Pizza is my go-to place when I want Italian delivery. The portions are huge, no matter what you order. Any of the pasta dishes are enough for two meals. The grinders are HUGE as well, a large grinder could easily feed three or four people. The food is always tasty and well prepared. The pizza is crispy and the cheese bubbly and hot. I recommend ordering the Sicilian Pizza, a personal favorite of mine, which again is very large and will feed a lot of people. The Mozzarella wedges are a must-get item every time I order from them. Delivery drivers are always friendly and courteous, especially Alex who always goes out of his way to call and let us know when he'll be reaching our house. Small touches like that are appreciated and make the 45 minute wait time for delivery tolerable. We wouldn't wait that long for any other delivery service, but for Cuozzo's it is okay with us. I also appreciate that they take credit cards over the phone, it makes ordering very convenient and is one of the main reasons we continue to be patrons of Cuozzo's over other local pizza shops. I highly recommend the Fish and Chips on Friday's, just call early in the day to assure they don't run out. My husband and I both work long hours and as much as I love to cook, there are many nights when we are just too tired, so we always count on Cuozzo's for dinner. The food is excellent. Last night we ordered a small Hawaiian pizza and a chef's salad. Wen my husband went to pick it up, one of the owners was just taking the roast beef out of the oven (they cook it themselves; it's one of the meats on the chefs salad.) It was very fresh and tasted great! Joe and Dan are honest guys who run their business the old fashioned way; hard work, good quality products, and exceptional service!; they really care about their customers, and are always interested in feedback. Also, the portions are very generous; a small pizza from Cuozzo's is the same size as a medium or large from other places. Their dinners can easily feed 2 people, and come with pasta, salad and fresh garlic bread. Keep up the good work; we love Cuozzo's! read more

Placed an order for two Italian grinders and a 2 liter coke at 6:40 pm...I am located 1.9 miles away...one hr goes by my fiancé calls and asks the status of the order and she is hushed with a "yeah yeah, 5-10 minutes". One more half hr goes by and our two sandwich order still has not arrived...I personally call and they don't seem to be concerned about the astronomical wait time...if I was the owner of this establishment I would be ashamed...never again...oh...the sandwiches were cold and they forgot the soda as well read more

One of my favorite pizza shops in RI. Been coming here for a LONG time. Had every pizza, dish, sandwich. The standouts for me are: the pizza (reg cheese pizza, white pizza, and the pizza w ricotta and sliced tomato), the hot sandwiches (I always get the chicken cutlet YUMMY), and that DELICIOUS buttery garlic bread you get to dip after finishing the eggplant dinner... I just made myself so hungry. These guys are awesome- so nice and friendly. Stepping into the place is like a flashback to being in a 90's high school flick. My boyfriend and I stop here for slices every time we are on our way home from the cape. The dough is perfect and the sauce to cheese ratio is spot on. The white pizza (which I almost never go for) has ricotta...my fav...and it's not over whelming with garlic like most are. We have yet to try the other food because we're always in a rush but the pizza is bomb! And coming from Connecticut we know pizza.
