Returned for the first time in quite a while today. The last visit was not a good one,I thought I would give them another shot. That was a mistake. The guy behind the counter had a very pissy attitude,like I was bothering him by buying some goodies. Additionally, the eggplant calzone was about 25 percent smaller than last visit and $1.00 more than last time. It was also very dry.. very little sauce, edible but not too great. Coworker comes here a lot and asked me if I wanted something to eat. I'm always curious abt pizza strips from various spots so decided to try theirs along with a spinach, cheese, pepperoni calzone. It's decent. The red sauce on the strip is good like I would eat it again but wouldn't go outta my way to come get it when I have a strip pizza CRAVING lol. There's another place in the hood of PVD that has pizza strips to DIE FOR lol so ya I'll risk it there lol. It's a lil bit on the salty side but overall decent. The spinach calzone could be more fulfilling with some olives and onions and perhaps more olive oil mixed in or to dip bc it was getting a bit dry and bland as you're eating it. On that note more than 1-2 slices of pepperoni coulda solved that issue! Otherwise it's decent if you're just looking for some "healthy" alternatives. read more

Having lived in Rhode Island for more than 15 years now, I know that many people love pizza strips, pizza chips and related items. I have not been crazy about pizza strips nor chips but the pizza chips from DePetrillo's are really good...they are really thin and crispy, with a light sauce which has a nice spicy kick to it. I got some and reheated them in a toaster oven and they were delicious....A great snack or appetizer before a larger meal. The calzone I had was good, but not great....overall a solid place. read more

I ordered the day before a large order and this morning I went to pick it up. The quality of food was amazing and it was all ready for me. The issue is after I signed my credit card receipt the employee told me that it is customary to leave a tip since they had to do a lot of cutting. I was in shock that she was demanding a tip. The pizza chips here are awesome! I come here almost every week whenever my child has lessons at a nearby art school and buy 2 large boxes. It's conveniently located in the same plaza as the Smithfield Municipal Ice Rink and next to some shops and after-school classes for kids. Took a star off for lack of variety, so-so baked goods, and no wow factor. Free parking is available with convenient access. read more

I am not Italian but I'm born and raised in RI so I'm extremely sensitive about our party pizza, or sauce bread, or whatever it is people call it. There are a handful of bakeries that get it right, these guys are one of them. Get the pizza chips - they are amazing; perfect little discs with a bit of crunchy and chewy crust with bits of burnt edges and yummy savory sauce atop. You can buy them by the 1/2 dozen or dozen. They have great party pizza slices as well, you can order ahead but they have both red and white there for grabs. Also, they have a pretty good sheet pizza (with cheese) there's something about their dough and sauce, it works. And the pepperoni on the sheet pan pizza is the little kind that cures up and gets crunchy. Another favorite here are the calzones, where her you need them for lunches or to slice up for a small gathering, they have so many options to choose from. BBQ chicken, Buffalo, eggplant parm, chicken parm, southwest chicken, meatball, broccoli, spinach...so many options! I've never had their desserts and pastries but they have a good amount of those as well. Once again, make sure you get the pizza chips!! read more

Can't ever go wrong with DePetrillo's and they also have the friendliest most efficient staff! Whether you get pizza, pizza strips or calzone's- it's consistently good. Their sauce is great & I love their fresh baked bread as well. Can't go wrong when you're having a party- just grab some calzones, pizza strips & go. The best part is the portion's sizes of their calzones and pizza! You get the most bang for your buck at this bakery! Consistently good, great prices, friendly staff, easy quick in and out. I've been here over 40x and I've never ever had to wait more then 5 minutes! Wish I could rate 4.5 stars! Easily could be 5 stars but I know a ton of AMAZING calzone places. If I could give zero stars I would. The staff was so awful and rude- I was actually horrified. My calzones hard as rocks and tasted absolutely terrible. The place was dirty, the staff touched my Food with their bare hands, and the employees breath reeked of alcohol. I will never be back and will tell everyone I know to NEVER go here. read more

Depetrillo's has some of the best, most unique style pizza. The sauce has such a good flavor, the cheese they use is great and the crust is nice and crispy but still soft..mmmm. It is always consistently good and you get alot for the $. Also their party pizza ( just sauce) is ridiculously good. I think they have some of the best pizza in the state. read more

A friend picked up red and white pizza strips, pepperoni cheese calzones and chocolate chip cookies for our picnic. I didn't try the red strips but was told they were just okay which is what I found the calzones to be. The white strips were delicious, very soft and airy and not too garlicky. But to my surprise the cookies were awful. They were hard, tasteless with way too many chips. So my question is how does a Bakery get cookies wrong??? read more

I went there for lunch today for quick slice. I walked in the lady working was really nice. They had slices out and I picked up pepperoni slice she never asked me if I wanted it heated just threw in a bag and charge me for it. That was the absolute worst pizza slice I have ever had. I have not experienced this rude of service in such a long time. My family and I called at 3:15pm and asked how long would they be open until. They responded that they would be closing at 6:00pm and if we called before 5:15pm that it would be perfectly fine. We called at 4:55pm and were told we could not order. We gently reminded them that an hour earlier they said it would be fine. After rude remarks we were allowed to place our order. Arriving at the establishment, the staff was incredibly rude. Comments were made loud enough for us to hear by the staff in the back. The pizza was dropped on the counter "here's your pizza" with a nice eye roll to add to it. Used to order from here but they can never seem to get my order right. Very skimpy on the pizza toppings even when you ask them to put extra on. For what they charge for a large pizza it should be loaded with toppings. I found another nearby place where the pizza is great, they deliver and it's cheaper than depetrillos. read more

After a meeting at Bryant College, I was introduced by my client to this small busy spot down the road known for their Calzone. From Eggplant or Spinach to BBQ Chicken, they offer a fresh variety behind a lil take out counter.. Delish, Chewy and very reasonably priced, I was pleased to enjoy the hot fresh preperation @ a nearby park by the lake soaking in the last few days of warm sunshine in New England! read more

My husband came here and ordered a pizza (that was good ), while he waited for his pizza he asked the girl if he could try a sample of the pizza chips and she said no , they don't do that (rudely with an attitude), the girl didn't even ask the manager or at least try to go above and beyond for a new customer. My husband told her he won't be coming back because she "couldn't" offer him a pizza chip sample, and she acted like she didn't care. What kind of new business doesn't offer samples of their food? We will never comeback again solely based on poor customer service and the fact that they don't offer free samples (as a new business) to new customers. Very disappointing because the pizza was good and we live close by. read more

The best strip (RI) pizza I've ever had. The people there are really helpful & friendly, and have been able to accommodate last minute requests for party pizza, even on major holidays. Their calzones & the pepperoni rolls are a favorite of my kids, but what keeps me going back for more is the strip pizza. The sauce is yummy, the crust is crisp on the outside and not too doughy/chewy on the inside, and it's the best I have had. Bring cash or be prepared for a pretty hefty ATM fee, but at least there's an ATM there. read more

Not bad good stop for a quick decent calzone for lunch never had the pizza

I lived in Smithfield most of my life, and always loved this pizza, esp. the party pizza. We never went to a party, or hosted one, without serving at least a sheet's worth of the party pizza. There is usually very little (if any) left over. The sauce is robust and sweet, a crunchy crust, and always super fresh. The style is unique to "our" part of the country, but well worth the try if you are in the area visiting! Can't say enough about this place either, nice people, never have had a problem! read more
