16 Jul 2017 Today's Special: Eggs Benedict w/Hashbrowns (I opted for Southern-Style Hashbrowns). Hollandaise is homemade. Yummy!

Boy was that good. I had today's breakfast special (Eggs Benedict w/Hashbrowns). I'm not a fan of shredded potato hashbrowns (they're too easy to mess up), so I was pleasantly surprised when southern style (cubed with optional onions a bell peppers) was available. Eggs nicely medium poached, and homemade Hollandaise. Lots of locals and the wonderful waitress knew 'em, what they wanted, and if they wanted anything customized in their order. A very inviting and cheery place. A great start to the day. Well worth stopping in.

My hot cup of coffee that was much needed!!

Hot coffee that's not see through!! Awesome! Had eggs, hashbrowns and a pancake. He had chick fried steak, eggs, hashbrowns and toast. Walked in and they had 2 regulars drinking coffee at the counter. Cool. Waitress was nice and food came out piping hot! It hit the spot! Everything was cooked great and didn't have any issues. Simple menu. Nothing fancy. Staff professional and was inviting. Came to give refills on my coffee. I'd go back to try something else because the place is really comfortable and the food is homey.

Small but with a unique classical charm. Great drinks and tasty pastries. Central location. Good pricing. Couldn't hope for better.

It's pretty small inside and definitely has an antique shop feel. There's lots of different styles and things around. There are a few small tables scattered throughout. The lady at the front was very kind and happy to walk us through their options. They have one small case that's mostly savory and one small case that's sweets with a tiny truffle case on the counter. I think the move here is the cinnamon roll, but when we arrived they were still baking, which meant it smelled delightful, but were weren't able to try one. We ended up trying the breakfast muffin, which was really unique. It's a muffin with cheese and spinach baked in, along with an entire strip of bacon just under the surface, and an entire egg baked in the middle. It was good, but I'm not sure I would order it again. I'm not usually a scone fan, I prefer a muffin, but their scones looked good. We tried the blueberry lemon and the cranberry orange. They were both really flavorful with a good texture, not super dry. The blueberry edged out the cranberry for me because the blueberries were fresh, whereas the cranberry were dried. This is a cute small shop, clearly making everything from scratch with passion. I'd stop back in for a cinnamon roll for sure!
