Super cool stop in Newport. Service was absolutely amazing! Let's quickly get to the just average part of the experience, the drip coffee was just ok, maybe had been in the pot too long. Bagel was delicious! I don't remember what I got but it was definitely on a jalapeño cheddar bread. Service was decent! The place was small so you aren't necessarily meant to stay long. You order your food at the cashier and then they bring it to you in to go boxes. It's not a full dine in waitress kind of experience. It's nice for a quick coffee grab date. read more

I had the best bagel in my life here! I don't normally get Asiago bagels but it was recommended by the barista. OMG! It was the softest, melt-in-your-mouth bagel I've ever had. It was warm and toasted ever so slightly. Perfect. All bagels should be that soft! The vibe was just as I expected, small and chill. The carmel mocha to go with it was just right. Super cute, clean and friendly bakery. We had elote avocado toast (to die for) and a bagel sandwich (excellent and fresh) great coffees made to order and of course we walked out with some of their baked goodies. Fabulous rasberry white chocolate scone and bacon jam goat cheese pastry. This is a must stop if you are in the area! Service was excellent. read more

Their baked goods are pretty darn exceptional, pair a treat with an espresso drink and you've got yourself a fine breakfast, or lunch. Small footprint with not a lot of seating, but fun to grab a window seat and watch the goings on. Nice staff. read more

10/10 - Scouted out coffee shops to hit on my way through Newport this morning and came across Coasties. There was a line when I arrived at 7:30 which usually means you've picked a good spot. Waited with my dog in line which moved quick. Cute inside ambiance and decor. I had a 12 oz drip and a classic bagel sandwich. I was warned it would be a bit of a wait because there were a handful of bagel sandwich orders ahead of me, totally fine, I wasn't in a hurry. It's a good thing there was a wait because I then decided I wanted something sweet for after my bagel sandwich so I added a pnw marionberry scone. Everything tasted great. I loved the bagel sandwich, perfect amount of everything. I could literally eat it every day and want to try the others. The coffee is made by an expert barista. Chef's kiss. My daughter got a ham and cheese pastry that she enjoyed, and I shared a bagel sandwich with my son. I thought it was very good. Wow! This place was insanely good! Not just coffee either the food was outstanding. Went there twice and tried to go a third time but they are closed on Sundays. I stopped in after the farmers market for a smoothie and it hit the spot! It is fresh fruit and it was soooo good. Truthfully the food looked so delicious but I was already so full but I definitely want to go back to grab a pastry or two. The ambiance was so stinking cute also, they did a beautiful job on the inside. Lastly, the staff was so sweet and helpful. I truthfully had such a lovely experience. Big fan of this place. Decor was great with a lot of wood and thoughtfully put together. The pastry case screamed "eat us" and everything looked delicious. They had a sale-scone for $3 and how could we not add a $3 Marion berry scone to our order. Coffee (decaf americano) was flavorful. The bagel sandwich was a little underwhelming, partially because the basic one was just a piece of bacon and cream cheese on a bagel, and partially because the bagels were not chewy. The bagel texture was in between a fresh roll and a bagel. I liked it, because I loved rolls, but my spouse missed the chew. The avocado toast was a run-away winner because the seasoning was great and the avocados were PERFECT. The sale scone was fine. It was a sale scone, came out immediately, and was inhaled more than eaten. I think I should have ordered a more decked out bagel sandwich and another pastry, but my ordering mistakes don't detract from a coffee shop with great coffee, ambiance, and solid food. This little cafe was a great stop before heading out for a long hiking day. The burrito was super filling and nourishing. The 20+ minute wait for it was the only negative. The cheddar garlic scone was 10/10 one of the best scones I've had stateside with the perfect balance of butter, bacon and cheddar. It is a bit messy and crumbly so careful! The drip coffees tasted a bit watered down which was disappointing. Would stop by again for the food just be ready for a wait. read more

I really like this place and the servers are always really nice but I am not going anymore they accidentally gave me meat on a sandwich i asked for no meat on, I told them that I felt bad about sending it back to be remade but I have to because I'll get sick if I eat meat. They said they'd remake it but they just took the meat off and gave it back to me. Luckily i could smell and see the meat bits/ grease leftover on the sandwich and didn't eat it or I would've gotten sick still. But it kinda hurt my feelings because i told them i'd get sick- and i took out of my savings to splurge on a nice treat.. otherwise you guys are great but that was not cool read more

Came for breakfast, the smoothie taste like frozen orange juice. The toast is okay. Be ready to pay for your cups that hold your smoothie. They will charge you for the plastic cups and coffee cups that it comes in. Will not be coming back. Oh and there was a staple in my veggie bowl. read more

The good: food and coffees were great tasting. I had the classic bagel sandwich and my wife had a breakfast burrito that had the whole kitchen in it! It took a little while to get (about 15-20 minutes) as someone was ahead of us in line...but made fresh, so that's awesome. Wife said the service was fantastic. I had to stay with the car and the pup... The "not-so-good": we're traveling and kinda wolfed down the delicious food...about an hour later, we were looking for a restroom. I don't really blame the food... but that was all we had to eat that morning so...you can be the judge. By the way...we chose this because of the name... and then saw the menu and said, "heck yeah!" We may try again on our way back home. Will let you know! read more

The staff can't get a correct order. She said "3 saviries and a coffee?" Missed the pastry, when we paid. We were certainly charged a premium for our order (the food here is DELICIOUS) and then didn't bring us all of our order. I paid again because I was hungry and wanted the item I ordered. Normally, I wouldn't mention a small mistake that cost me $6, but this is literally THE THIRD TIME, in a ROW, that I've been charged yet received an incomplete order for our crew. Stop it. Print a ticket. Write it down. Next time I'm going to demand a paper receipt and a written list of what we've paid for. No excuse for this. If the food wasn't so good here it would be fewer stars...just charge correctly and fill our orders, and we will keep coming back. read more

My husband and I purchased this business Oct 2020 and business has been wonderful! We love getting to meet so many people from so many places. Our daughter has taken over as manager and we hope to be around and sure the best coffee’s and food we can!

The lady at the front was very kind and happy to walk us through their options. They have one small case that's mostly savory and one small case that's sweets with a tiny truffle case on the counter. I think the move here is the cinnamon roll, but when we arrived they were still baking, which meant it smelled delightful, but were weren't able to try one. We ended up trying the breakfast muffin, which was really unique. It's a muffin with cheese and spinach baked in, along with an entire strip of bacon just under the surface, and an entire egg baked in the middle. It was good, but I'm not sure I would order it again. I'm not usually a scone fan, I prefer a muffin, but their scones looked good. We tried the blueberry lemon and the cranberry orange. They were both really flavorful with a good texture, not super dry. The blueberry edged out the cranberry for me because the blueberries were fresh, whereas the cranberry were dried. This is a cute small shop, clearly making everything from scratch with passion. I'd stop back in for a cinnamon roll for sure!

Slightly spicy hollandaise sauce, perfectly poached eggs and the sweet bacon on the Benedict pearched on house made biscuits. Scramble was healthy with chopped asparagus, pesto, scrambled eggs,sun dried tomatoes, honey bacon chunks, excellent combination of ingredients. Strong, rich coffee, on top of it service and normally a wait, but worth it.

You can also order some items to be made then. We grabbed premade chicken Caesar Salad wrap. The abundant chicken was really moist but there was little lettuce. The dressing was very good- just wished there had been more lettuce to balance the chicken out. We also had a premade Italian sandwich which had a perfect balance of meat and cheese. There were a few places to sit inside but the majority is outside.

It's a muffin with cheese and spinach baked in, along with an entire strip of bacon just under the surface, and an entire egg baked in the middle. It was good, but I'm not sure I would order it again. I'm not usually a scone fan, I prefer a muffin, but their scones looked good. We tried the blueberry lemon and the cranberry orange. They were both really flavorful with a good texture, not super dry. The blueberry edged out the cranberry for me because the blueberries were fresh, whereas the cranberry were dried. This is a cute small shop, clearly making everything from scratch with passion. I'd stop back in for a cinnamon roll for sure!

2/2/18 edit of my 1/11/18 review. Went through again, service was so kind, Coffee was excellent-high quality brew, loved it! Was offered a punch card & asked if I'd like something to eat, very nice! I'll be back to this wonderful shop! Never been here but have definitely been wanting to try it. Pulled in at 1:00pm this afternoon (1/11/18) and just now left after waiting close to 30 minutes, never having ordered at all. There were 2 other cars in the drivethru & the one in front of us was sitting waiting, waiting, waiting too. Ridiculous. They were obviously not extremely busy so what was the deal? Delicious--the best espresso blend I've ever had! We came here three times in three days. The Marion berry puff pastry was amazing. The Asiago bagel sandwich was delicious and tasted like a homemade bagel and thick cuts of bacon. I'd recommend the hot honey lavender latte or hot snickerdoodle latte. read more
