Very good sushi for a small town with limited options! Prices are accurate and what one would expect from a sushi bar in a more populated area. My only complaint is the only option to order is via Yelp, not a huge fan of massive fees. While the prices were okay, for three rolls plus appetizer was over $70!!! Off the bat I was happily surprised this places serves beer and stuff, Solid plus My wife and I ordered ourselves a shrimp tempura roll, Phili roll, chicken bulgogi cup, and a heart attack roll to split. All of which was pretty damn good. The kids got spicy wings which I don't have an opinion on, a Cali roll which my daughter (9yo) said was good. My 3yo ate the chicken hibachi cup and it was decent but it was very saucy. There wasn't enough silverware brought with the food for all 6 of us to use since we were sharing. Prices were decent, can't really complain. Food came out really quick! Definitely will be returning. read more

My husband and I enjoyed lunch here. Being still very new to Valdosta, this little gem was fun to find. The food was great! The building was clean and bright. The servings were worth the money spent! Their menu is pretty broad and offers everything from sushi to noodles and they serve saki, beers and plum wines as well. Casual and at reasonable cost for a nice easy lunch or dinner. The food is, as best I can explain it, a broad stroke of Korean and Japanese influenced foods. So there are lots of spices, peppers, cabbage, kimchi, rice types of meal options. The spicy onion rings are gold! Try them. Give them a try we really like the place and it has been added to our places to return to. read more

This place has really good sushi! Cup Works is a walk-in and order kind of restaurant, you can sit anywhere you please which is a nice perk. I ordered the Island Roll because I like a little bit of crunch on my sushi, it was really good. The fried Rice is really delicious, not too oily or salty, and just about sticky enough to pick up with your chopsticks. The food comes out pretty quickly depending on the day as well. I truly enjoyed my time here the first time that I came another with my friends. This place will definitely be my go-to for sushi. read more

Great for a quick sushi fix! Waaaay better than any other take out sushi in Valdosta or gosh forbid having to go to the fish cooler in Publix. Not much on sashimi here but the big "Americanized" rolls are tasty. Island, firecracker, Godzilla, and creamy scallop rolls are my favorites. Average prep time is 10-15 minutes so it's ready when I get there. Decent price for what you get. It's no date night at NOBU or UMI, but it's one heck of a needed fix on a Tuesday night read more

I've lived in South Korea and this is not comparable at all to authentic. It's basically hibachi. I'd say do not get the calamari because it wasn't good in my opinion. read more

Good tasting. I would prefer more veggies and less meat, but that is just a personal preference. I had the chicken bulgogi platter. Chicken was a little dry. Mandu was good. Will try again to try the chicken Katsu. Wish you could order the mandu as a side. Hubby had the beef hibachi and he said it was delicious. I am writing this addendum the next day. We went again today and I had the chicken Katsu. It was really good. I still would prefer more veggies and less rice. They did not have the Katsu sauce on the side, which I like, but put it on the chicken before serving. I would have liked a little more sauce. Hubby had the chicken hibachi and said he liked the beef yesterday better. His had a lot more veggies, which was good. I also found out that you can order the mandu on the side. Fantastic place to eat! If you can't decide between Japanese and Korean try this place. We ordered the bibimbap, shrimp bokeum and katsu don bowls. We also ordered two sushi rolls, pot stickers, kimchi. Everything we ordered had rich flavor and the staff were polite and helpful. They also have a drive through if you don't want to dine in. The one facing me had Maury and the one facing my dad showed people on the operation table. Come on, no one wants to go out to eat and see EITHER THINGS. Can we just have the quaint atmosphere without the junk entertainment please? We actually got the remote and muted them, though we wanted to turn them off. - Sushi. It's horrible! The BBQ eel was mostly scales and fat. I believe the cooks are Korean, and I enjoyed the kimchi, but they do not seem skilled in the art of sushi. Definitely try Cup Works! Was in town visiting my sister and had to try it out ! It was so good if you are looking for good sushi this is the place to go

I live very close to this place and the food is hit and miss. The past couple times I have eaten there the food was too salty. But all on all this is very close to Korean bulgogi you can find in this area. My family loves the sushi and they say it is on point. Just please watch the salt!!! read more

CAUTION: yum yum sauce contains peanut butter and that should be posted somewhere on the menu and the staff should be educated. We have eaten yum yum sauce and never had an issue with nuts in the recipe, that is the ONLY menu item they have that contains nuts (according to the girl on the phone that had no clue if the fried rice contained nuts and when I asked if any other recipes did she seemed content to reply "I really don't know" as if the conversation was over. I requested she go ask the cook). We have never come across any other yum yum recipe with nuts so we never thought to ask if it could be an ingredient. My nut-sensitive daughter had a side of fried rice with the yum yum sauce she mixed in. Within minutes she was vomiting and broke out in hives. Thankfully with Benadryl she was fine but this ingredient needs to be posted and the staff should be educated. The food was fine. Portions were small. read more

I've been a regular here for 3 years now. They must have a change of ownership in the past year because it's become one of my favorite go-to restaurant in Valdosta. The food is of great quality and it's packaged with care each time. The customer service is super attentive and the food always comes out fresh and quick. I usually come for the sushi (I love the island and Godzilla rolls) but sometimes I'll get the katsudon (breaded chicken cutlet) or the udon noodles (the broth is amazing!!) The bulgolgi and terayaki/hibachi are pretty on point too. read more

My favorite place for a quick dinner in Valdosta. The food is so good and the wait times aren't long at all. If you call in orders it usually takes about 10-15 minutes and you can pick it up through the drive thru if you don't want to go in. If you do go in though, you go and order at the counter and they will give you a number. Sit down at your table and they will bring your food out to you when it's ready. You get your own drinks/to go boxes. When you are ready to leave you just leave the dishes on the table. This is a GREAT place to eat and I'm really going to miss it when we move from Valdosta. read more

The staff was very friendly, you order at the counter and then they bring the prepared food to your table and later they pick up the dishes for you. Outside of what Ming's USED to be..this is prob the best Asian food I've had in town. We tried their chicken and their beef Bokeum bowls with Mandu and a Tilapia roll and Dynamite roll...we prob both enjoyed the sushi the most, but both bowls were good (and very spicy) and we'd definitely eat there again! The fact that they have a drive thru gives us a reason to go more often. Still not quite what you'd find in a larger city, but one of the best options I've had in Valdosta. read more

This is an update from a much better review that I left in March 2020. The quality, quantity, and pricing of the good at Cup Works has deteriorated in the past two years. Maybe it's because of Covid, but my friend and I recently paid about 40% more for the bulgogi plates and received much less food than two years ago. In addition, the quality just isn't there. Whereas the restaurant is usually very busy at lunch, there were just three tables that were occupied. That should have told us something. It was one of my favorite places to dine, but I won't be going back....ever. read more

In general I've never had a bad experience with cup works in either food or customer service. The food is heavy and filling especially their plates. The gyoza are an excellent addition to every meal. If you are trying to place a to go order using the phone is the easiest option. There is no drive through option without pre-order so that is something to pay attention to. read more

This was the first place I tried when I moved to Valdosta. I moved from San Francisco so the cultural and cuisine difference was extremely different for me moving to the south but then I found this place. The food is good and really well priced. I'm glad there is asian food in this area. Every time my mother comes to visit, she always makes me take her here. The staff is always really kind and it's clean and quick. The bowl was around $9 and the $11 monster or whatever it was called roll was a good size. The masago rolls were $4 a pair and they were excellent.
