Combo Bop (Piggy Bop and B Bop) with 7.5 sauce
    Lori L.

I ate here with my mom, two teens, and young adult nephew and we all thoroughly enjoyed our meals and would definitely go back. We have all had Korean food other places, but we are by no means connoisseurs--we want our food to be good and we all felt like our bowls/ramen/mandoo were very good. The staff working were very friendly, attentive, and prepared and served our meals in a timely manner. We have no complaints and look forward to going back.

I love cupbop when they're good, but they're completely inconsistent and that doesn't matter whether I get it in person, order it to pickup or order it online. Sometimes it's amazing, sometimes the Kdog is burnt, sometimes the noodles are hard, sometimes they forget the sauce. But when it's good, it's amazing!

This is a bit of a biased opinion. I just want to put that out there right away. As a Korean, if something is advertised as Korean, I expect there to be at least somewhat of a resemblance to Korean food. This is pretty far from it. If you take a look at the picture I posted of the 2 bowls we got, it's pretty clear that this is not Korean food. Unfortunately, I didn't think it was that tasty either. Most to all of the flavor came from the very strong sauces they douse the food with. If you're looking for the equivalent of Burger King in "Korean" food form, this may satisfy you but do not expect anything close to actual Korean food.

Stopped in again to one of my new favorite Korean places for lunch. As always, we were greeted by the friendly staff upon entry. My sister was here trying it out for the first time, and the lady taking our order did a great job explaining how the cupbops were built and suggestions on what she enjoyed. I ordered a B-bop, which is the korean bulgogi cupbop, while my sister ordered the pork bop, and her fiance tried the Ramen for the first time. Everything came out quickly but tasty! The cupbop is essentially sweet potatoes noodles (which for someone who doesn't enjoy the taste of sweet potatoes is very tasty and doesn't taste too sweet potatoey) with rice and cabbage and your protein as well. I enjoyed a spice level of 6 though a suggestion. Ask for a little extra spicy mayo! It really turns up the flavor. The pork bop was just as good. I didn't try the ramen, but I was told it tastes very good. It was filling and tasty, and everyone left with a smile. We will definitely be back! Side note, there is seating in the restaurant. It's a bit smaller, but the few times I've gone, there's always room to sit.

The 930 niku ramen is the best ramen I've ever tasted. I do door dash because I live far. I never had a problem until they got my order wrong twice this past year. I talked to a girl Jaqueline and she said they could remake the whole order. I door dashed again and they forgot my side. When I called she said she "could have sworn she put them in there." Talked to the older manager and told her what happened she said to come in and they'll give it to me. I called before we went in there and talked with Jaqueline and she said they didn't write anything down but I could come in and they would do it. I come in but Jaqueline is gone for the day I talk to a manager Amanda and she was like let me call the other manager because basically Jaqueline doesn't have authority to correct their mistake they made. I had to talk to the manager over the phone and tell her everything all over again. She said ok they'll remake the one order and give me the side. I gave the phone back to Amanda and she just walked back to the back not saying anything to us. The cashier was like can you guys move so we can help the other people in line. We had no idea what was going on because Amanda didn't say ok we'll get that right out to you, she had barely looked at the receipt to go off of. After cashier was done with that customer I walked up and asked her what Amanda is going to do because she didn't say what she was going to do and my husband still needed to order his food. He ordered and we went to go sit down and then Amanda went and brought me my food in a to go bag without saying anything. I looked at it and the order was still wrong. So my husband went to go deal with it as I was tired of explaining it to them. They changed it then forgot the side again. It was a horrible experience! I pay $50**+ dollars for them to door dash it and they failed to make sure everything is correct then treat you as if you're the problem. Amanda silent treatment was rude, the older manager and Jaqueline were ok. I'll order the ramen again because it's my fav but going to have to call them every time to tell them to make sure it's correct. If you don't want to remake the order don't mess it up. I pay $50 every time it's not my fault you guys don't get it right!

Cupbop has become one of my new favorite fresh-fast-foods. I seriously love the variety of ingredients, the different sauce selection and it is so filling for the price - I usually get at least two meals out of one! I have tried several of the meat options and usually get a combo with at least two - there has not been one yet that I haven't liked. I usually get one of the more mild sauce combos, but sometimes I go for the special 7, which is not that spicy, but has a nice kick. Their dumplings are also worth grabbing and sharing amongst your group (or not :). Cupbop is an awesome option for a quick meal that doesn't feel heavy/greasy/frozen - I'll be back - a lot!

This Cupbop is conveniently located in the big strip mall (in between First Watch and Hu Hot, for easier reference). They must have been selling out Cupbops all day long as by the time I arrived, the colorful yellow cups have been replaced by a regular white cup. It is less photogenic, but what surprised me was the size of the "cup", it is essentially a bowl! I went in thinking one little cup each won't fill up myself and the hubby, but their generous portions make for a fulfilling meal. I chose the Rock Chicken for my freebie and ordered a Combo (beef and pork) to go. Both are very flavorful (only asked for level 2 - baby spicy) I wonder if the Rock in "Rock Chicken" is from "Rock Sugar"? The look and texture sure remind me so. LOVE LOVE LOVE the glass noodles and was secretly wishing the entire thing was filled with them (instead of a layer of rice). When I go back next time I'll ask for more noodles and no rice, whatever extra cost it will be. I also plan to check out their ramen. I mean, they do glass noodles so well, right?! The staff is cordial. I especially enjoyed watching them squeeze the sauce bottles to top off the beautiful cup (bowl) creation!

Wire and hair found in same order

I'm not generally one that uses Yelp to write poor reviews. I'd rather shine on great businesses. Unfortunately, I had an experience today with this Cupbop location that I feel needs to be shared in concern of patron safety and welfare. I ordered two bowls through Doordash pickup and upon starting to eat, I found a metal wire like object in my food. It looks like part of a metal dish scrubber or something of that nature (see photo). What's most concerning is that had this been swallowed, it could cause severe bodily injury. I can't help but feel sick to my stomach thinking of what could happen to myself or someone else because of this carelessness. To make matters worse, my partner found a long strand of hair in his bowl not even moments later. We couldn't believe that we hit the poor food safety double whammy. It would be almost laughable if it wasn't just utterly repulsive and just outright dangerous. As someone who worked in food service for many years, I recognize that mistakes can happen, but restaurants need to be held accountable for their oversights. That said -- these kinds of incidents, especially two seperate occurring ones in a single order, are just evidence of blatant disregard for food safety and there is zero excuse for it.

Over all I had a great time!! I went to the Arvada location and arrived around 1pm, a little after the lunch rush. The location was easy to find! As I walked in there were signs asking you to wear a mask. They also had social distancing stickers on the floor. I walked right up to the counter! And was greeted with a big hello! The employee asked how they could help me. I had never been there before so I was excited to see what all was included in a bowl. I ended up getting the B Bop without the veggies and the sweet sauce, level 1. I was served immediately! I got mine to-go so they include napkins and utensils! I thought the flavor was great! The temperature of the food was perfect too! The level 1 sauce had a after small kick to it. The rice noodles were great! And the rice at the bottom! I really enjoyed the experience over all and I can't wait to go back! It's so close to my work :)

Cupbop has always been a place I've been wanting to try. I love Korean BBQ.. so having this concept is great. Once arrived I was immediately greeted and welcomed from friendly staff. Menu is largely displayed on the wall so it's very easy to read. Overheard staff and management having great conversations with each other which shows they enjoy their job. Leads to great customer experience. Food came out REALLY fast. I ordered the B Bop. Consisted of korean beef, cabbage, noodles and rice. I opted for the combo and received 3 dumplings and a drink. Dumplings were crispy and juicy! I wanted more! The bowl was filled top the top. They weren't stingy with the protein. I chose the medium sauce top it off. Everything tasted great. Size portion looks small but it is very filling. Can be a little messy to the amount of food in the bowl but flavor was great! Located in shopping strip tucked away in corner. Good location for high traffic. Inside was very clean and nothing visually needed to be addressed.

    Cute cup!

As I was driving down, the owner called me and let me know they ran out of corn fritters, and only had one order of burnt ends. I went with another order of brisket and changed to corn bread as my other side. I appreciated the call, he was on top of things! I picked up my food and ate it in my car. The beans were thick and full of meat pieces which I love. The corn bread was more like a corn cake. Super buttery and chewy, it was delicious...maybe the best corn bread I have ever had! On to the meats...........Burnt Ends- Meh...they were just ok. 2 pieces of the 6 were straight up fat, with no meat on them. A tad disappointed in that! The brisket was a little dry, but still tasty enough. Their regular bbq sauce is really good, and I dipped my brisket in that. Solid 3 meat plate minus the 2 shitty burnt ends pieces. Service was great! Cool guys running the spot. Would definitely come back if I lived in the area.

There are only a handful of businesses in Kittredge, a humble unincorporated town outside of Evergreen and Morrison (closer to the former). And shockingly, most of the businesses are great! Doesn't change the fact that they are doing something right in the kitchen! At Switchback, they have the MEATS. As all good BBQ places should. My last meal consisted of their brisket, sausage, and mac and cheese. I really enjoyed everything I had. The sausage may have been my favorite, it was extremely juicy. Brisket is the best BBQ meat and theirs (even takeout) was tender and tasty. Like many BBQ places, the hours and quantities are limited. Wayne's house burned completely down and the kitchen and restaurant in the shopping center in Superior, just south of Boulder, were severely damaged. It took them well over a year to rebuild and reopen. We decided this past Labor Day Weekend, to supply our own meals with their BBQ, sides and dessert. Since reopening, they have maintained a very short week to be open because of many time and financial constraints. They still open at 11am and serve until about 2pm or until the majority of the prepared food is gone. They also work all of the hours from before dawn every day to smoke and cook all of the meats, sides and desserts, fresh each day. The schedule is just to be open Friday and Saturday, leaving them some quality of family life the rest of the week. In the very early years Wayne was there himself, doing almost all the smoking, cook prep, and lunch every day with a very small staff. That became unsustainable when the place built such a huge following and he hired a lot of staff that needed training. He had learned these recipes and techniques growing up near Austin TX, so this is classic Texas BBQ. In fact, the original form of the famous peach cobbler dessert was his own mother's recipe. It has been altered a little over the years to make serving in such volume better and this very latest version is the best yet. Every serving is the same balance of batter, peaches and cinnamon topping. It is generous and has wonderful flavor and texture and is served warm. At home we usually reheat it if we don't finish it all the first day. But it is still good cold, too. If we drive so far and wait in line to get in, we always buy enough for a few meals. It's absolutely worth it. The higher price than the mass producers is worth very penny. It's really homemade with quality ingredients. In the past, I almost always got the brisket, always chose the lean end (yes you get a choice and the side is still warm from the cooker/smoker in front of you). All of the meats are purchased by weight as you would in a butcher shop. My husband almost always has the ribs. We were the first in on Saturday, as we arrived 30 minutes before opening and the line formed behind us with quite a group ready for the doors to open. Since we had first pick and when we saw the first rack of ribs opened, we just bought the whole thing. We also bought a selections of sides and as I had not been here in so long, I bought way too much. We did not need the mashed potatoes so we only ate about 1/3 of it. But we ate absolutely everything else, the BBQ beans, the cole slaw, the green chile mac and cheese, the peach cobbler. We always get the original BBQ sauce that they make but there is also a house spicy and a house mustard. They do charge for the sauces these days and if you plan to use a lot, buy the bigger tub. But the meat is so flavorful, just one or 2 of the tiny size would be enough. They started making these tiny containers for each customer during the pandemic when they had to give up the communal bottles on the table and this system seems nice and fresh to me. I don't mind paying and they buy and hand fill these serving size cups which I appreciate. I have heard some other people do not. But it's very inexpensive. We enjoyed every morsel of the meals. It's my favorite mac and cheese around, the ribs were still hot, tender, crispy, and with buying the whole rack, we got the entirety of both burnt ends, which I love too. It's really worth the effort to do this, but once a summer is probably our limit. I plan not to miss any more years, though. They do still have tables inside which are used heavily during a normal work week for the crowds they get from nearby businesses. But honestly, I think most of their customers are there to take home a full shopping bag to serve at home for family and friends, for no stress events without cooking yourself.
