First time trying this chain and unfortunately the last. Place was clean and the staff were friendly. The food quality, protein portion was just plain bad. Love Teriyaki Madness. This particular store used to be my "go to" for a quick, flavorful lunch. However, over the past year, the quality and flavor of the food is just no longer predictable. I always get a teriyaki bowel with white rice; so I have a consistent baseline to test against. My initial visits were what I expected from the brand and I would visit multiple times a month. However, food quality has gotten worse. The chicken has become more stringy, with almost no seasoning. Even the rice is bad; used to be like sushi rice and now it's like minute rice. also, seems like there is a new staff every time I come to this store. I have been going to other Teriyaki Madness stores and they are all great. I really want this particular store to work because it is so close to my house; but my visit today sealed the deal that I will not be coming back here. I made a mistake by ignoring all the poor reviews.... I frequent their DTC location, so I was happy to learn that their new location at River Point is only a couple miles from my house in Englewood. Unfortunately, this location is just not the same. Portions are considerably smaller, quality of the rice isn't as good, and the service is slower. Two employees were total slobs. Will continue to go to their DTC location and don't see myself giving River Point another try. Figure it out! read more

This place is pretty dope! The prices are just as high as everywhere else due to the economy imploding in this state, but that is no reason to not get loaded up on a bowl of noods and chicken here! The average bowl is about 10-ish bucks, but man that food sits in your gut forever. And there is so much, even a goblin like myself couldn't eat it all! read more

I frequent this Teriyaki Madness a lot. I have a very specific palate for food, and this is my "go to." I've been to this particular location sometimes twice, a week, but I'm pretty much a weekly regular. I've seen changes in team here and there, but some have been there since I started frequenting this one. The service I get is great, and I see the team give that to people they interact with before and after me also. I rarely eat at the restaurant, but it is comfy and a nice place to eat. This is the BEST Teriyaki Madness in Colorado, and I've been to a lot. I'm so grateful to live near this one. The take out from here went from being consistently good to being some of the worst food I've had in a while. The portions were deeply sad looking, my large spicy orange chicken looked more like a half portion compared to what I usually get and the veggies... instead of the awesome variety I've had previously I got what looked like half a head of lettuce and maybe 6 pieces of broccoli-- that was with the EXTRA veggies instead of the rice. We got large bowls and egg rolls. The rolls weren't the best I've had but came hot. The bowls were perfect size and i like that they included lots of veggies not only broccoli. First time here. Came to grab late dinner on our way back from Vegas. I got two protein in a bowl. Pick spicy chicken and teriyaki salmon. The portion of the meal is reasonable and the flavor of the chicken is delicious. The salmon could need more teriyaki sauce other than that it's delicious. My boyfriend got teriyaki beef and chicken. Went here on 10/12 the place was empty and people were nice when I walked in. I ordered a takeout two protein plate with orange chicken, teriyaki salmon, broccoli and fried rice. when I got home and opened it up I was so disappointed. There was hardly any orange chicken, only 5 pieces, the broccoli was great but the salmon was dry and the fried rice was a lump of mush. I couldn't eat the rice it was so disgusting. They didn't seem like they had a lot of orders so I'm not sure what happened. A waste of $20. read more

Teriyaki Madness is basically owned by Former Quiznos chief executive Greg MacDonald who runs several Tokyo Joes restaurants!! Anyone who isn't familiar of any Tokyo Joes establishment, it's Asian fast-casual chain. Both Teriyaki Madness and Tokyo Joes offers customizable meat and veggie bowls, that seem to be exactly like authentic Japanese meals. I've been of total fan of Tokyo Joes since high school and love the idea behind it. There are currently 7 Teriyaki Madness locations spread out all around Colorado: 1 in Greenwood Village, 1 in Wheat Ridge, 2 in Denver, 1 for Littleton, 1 in Johnstown, and 1 in Firestone!! Excitingly enough, 3 more Teriyaki Madness stand-alone will be announcing a grand opening in Longmont, Greeley and Eerie, CO!! My friends and I stopped by this franchise after a long day of snowtubing. We needed some energy and they have been hyping Teriyaki Madness on me the entire day, so why not? I wanted to go give it a go. We noticed instantly that dine in was open, after finding an easy parking spot with outside seating. 3 positive signs already. We went to the front counter to order a Small Bowl of teriyaki chicken with white rice for the little one who was with us. The rest of us got 3 bowls of Teriyaki Chicken, Spicy Chicken and their new flavor: Mad Spicy Chicken Bowl. My Spicy Chicken bowl wasn't actually spicy; none whatsoever. The teriyaki chicken is first "wok-tossed" with a spicy sauce, then wok-tossed with their newly advertised MAD SAUCE. I ordered a choice of white rice, instead of brown rice, fried rice or noodles... ALL OF OUR BOWLS includes stir-fry veggies by the way. My bowl was a regular sized, which was more than enough. I ordered an appetizer of a Chicken Eggroll. It came with (1 Eggroll) count for $1.99. For 150 Calories, that wasn't so bad. The eggroll is made out of Chicken & veggies in a delicious, edible wonton sleeping bag. Comes with a side of gyoza sauce for dipping! The only downfall was that I was expecting 2 of these egg rolls. I got a creamy order of the Crab Rangoon (4) for $4.69. The Crab and cream cheese wontons were served super HOT with house-made sweet & sour sauces. These were definitely my favorite for sure. In conclusion, any Tokyo Joes or Teriyaki Madness are definitely casual and fast. We dined in less than an hour and got full fast. We enjoyed the bowls, but I spent almost $20.00 for the regular bowl not being worthwhile. It is definitely a fast food chain. read more

The Not so Good, the Sad, and the Ugly! I thought I would finally give this place a try after getting their menu's and flyers constantly in the mail. The day I came there were 4 manager's in the store with company shirts just standing around. The staff was trying to get out a huge catering order while only one of the managers was helping. The line of people before me were standing around just waiting for their orders just like me, while people were still coming in after me to place orders. As I waited for my order, I observed one of the young male workers who was touching all the orders, kept scratching his butt and pulling up his pants that were constantly falling down (I guess it is fashionable for young men to wear baggy pants that shows their underwear, they were red by the way). The thing that shocked me the most was seeing 3 managers standing around who did not intervene or step up to help with the catering order or the backed up line orders from walk in customers, Only one tall female blonde manager seemed to care and was trying her best. I pulled her to the side and asked her if she would please grab my order when it came up, since I did not want the young man who was scratching his butt to do that, yuck! When I finally got my order, the food was "okay" but nothing to write home about. I brought mine home and had to add sriracha sauce and soy sauce to make it palatable since it was bland and lacked flavor. UPDATE: I went back a week later just to try it again and give them another chance. This time the person at the register was chewing gum (not a healthy practice when working around other people's food orders), and there were only two customer's in the store placing their orders. I waited, and waited, and waited and just got tired of waiting, so I took off and ran an errand and came back. This restaurant was clean, the staff were SO friendly and helpful, the service was quick, and the food was hot and tasty. I ordered a spicy tofu bowl with yakisoba. It was like better, fresher, Panda Express. I appreciated the number of protein options (chicken, salmon, tofu, and maybe one more?) as well as the different starch options. I would be willing to give them another shot as this was my fist time there BUT the very large gentleman that was working today at 12:15 was unsanitary. He handled cash then started to bag orders without washing his hands or putting gloves on. The most disgusting part was watching him wipe his nose with his hand and without washing his hands first, he start laying out portion cups to be filled. Stopped in to grab some dinner tonight, left with no dinner if that tells you anything. We arrived around 7pm and the woman at the register immediately asked if we had placed an online order. We hadn't, and she told us it would take 45 minutes to an hour to make the food because "we're really backed up". She then proceeded to tell us that they close at 8, and the way she said it was like she was telling us not to order. There was no apology, no sincere "sorry for the inconvenience", she was just abrupt and didn't seem to care at all. This is fast food and while I understand there are staffing issues at many places now, if you cannot keep up with 3 in house orders (there were 2 people waiting for their food when we got there) and your online orders to the point where there's an hour wait for the food, you need to figure something else out. After we left I was curious and got online to see if their ordering system had been cut off due to the backup, which it should have been, but I was still able to proceed with "pickup ASAP", so anybody who actually had done that would have gone to pick up their food and found themselves waiting an extremely long time for it. This just left a sour taste in my mouth all around, if they had been a bit nicer and apologetic about the situation I may have felt a bit better, but between the ridiculous wait for *fast* food, the attitude, and the clear logistics problem I won't be back to this location at all. read more

Teriyaki Madness has taken over the former location of a dreadfully run Q-Doba between 32nd and 38th on Youngfield Street in Wheat Ridge (Applewood), and we've been there once thus far. Saying "thus far" implies that I will be back, and I will - sometime. Our experience was fine. It was clean, staff were friendly and helpful and the food was fine - not remarkable or memorable, but perfectly fine for what is essentially, fast food Asian (mostly Japanese and a touch of Chinese). The menu is somewhat limited (compared, for example, with Tokyo Joe's - which, by the way, is better for a similar but more expansive concept). Teriyaki Madness has something like 8 different bowls with some choice of protein and sauce - choose between white, brown, fried rice or noodles, and between steamed or stir-fried veggies. Appetizers include eggrolls, edamame, crab rangoon and chicken potstickers. That's it - that's pretty much the menu. So yes, I will be back to Teriyaki Madness - probably not soon, but sometime. There's nothing wrong with it - the biggest problem is that there is also nothing compelling about it. In terms of the competition, Tokyo Joe's simply does a much better job with pan-Asian sorta/kinda fast food. And Motomaki should also be thrown in the competitive mix and is far more unique and interesting. So, Teriyaki Madness - I'm throwing down the gauntlet. You're not bad, you're just losing the war with the competition. If you want to see me more than once or twice a year, you're going to have to develop an A game - a B game just isn't going to cut it. read more
