Upon my wife's insistence, I took her to this establishment in Wheat Ridge on 38th and Wadsworth. I often make fresh salads as I am a chef in the area. On this day I watched a large and sloppy young lady working the sushi station and immediately seen her constantly touching her face and hair then she touched the food product. Her hair was under a hat except for 2 long gatherings on each side I imagined were for her styling but they tickled her face and she was constantly pawing at it, rubbing her face and it was just too much. Where were the rest of the staff to correct her behavior? It was nauseating for me..then she grabbed some paper towels and blew her nose. She very dramatically washed her hands but my wife mentioned the girls hygeine issue to a staff member who in turn talked to he girl but that only aggitated the girl to continue her behavior. Not sure why this happens, is it their youth, is it that no one else is applying for these jobs? One thing for certain, these types of behaviors are very noticeable by customers and when staff refuses to correct them and when management ignores unhygeniec behavior then that's pretty sorry and people will simply stop visiting these places.. read more

I enjoy Tokyo Joe's, no fuss, easy, fast, dine in or take out! Being a veggie, the mung beans with a bit of onion topping are perfect, they also made me some HOT tea, most drinks are from the auto fountain, mostly sugared sodas. Every time and each Tokyo Joe's I have visited, the people were extra friendly, always check WHY do I not want all the carbo foods, and we giggle, They are extremely respectful to my service dog, offering a small bowl for water for her. Please do note, this is a Colorado Based Healthy FAST FOOD, and honestly we need more HEALTHY FAST FOOD!!! Please keep this point in mind, when out in a hurry and Hungry. Plus every Tokyo Joe's I have eaten in, they are CLEAN, POLITE, AND DELICIOUS! Simple way of feeding yourself with no muss no fuss, simply delicious in a hurry or on the road. I love toyko joes so much! The salmon poke bowl hits the spot everytime. Esp with the spicy aioli! I really like that you can get your bowl base with half rice and half greens. There is plenty of both parking and seating at this location. I am convinced you get way more food when you dine in vs togo however. read more

The workers are extremely rude. I put in an order 15 minutes prior to me coming to the restaurant. In Wheat Ridge for an all day meeting, I was, at first, delighted when they offered to order in lunch from this location. I adore poke' bowls so I thought I was going to get a tasty lunch. First, I noticed how chinzy they were with the raw salmon...not much visible. Then, after a few bites, I decided that the saltiness made it unpalatable...I just couldn't eat it. Best healthy fast food place I have found. This was the first Tokyo Joe's I visited, I know there are others but this is my spot. I didn't know what edamame was until I went here, now I swear by it. They asked if I wanted to sign up for the rewards program, usually I don't, but there are actual perks for joining, right away, so I did. The restaurant is clean and the people are nice. Some think with a chain restaurant, you seen one, you seen them all. Well not in my opinion. First, I was greeted by a lady and really the entire team. I love this group! So friendly and helpful. Very efficient too. Second, they understood my food apprehension! NO RICE!!!! This makes having sushi hard, I know. So their sushi chef was phenomenal! Like the best I think I've seen! He was able to do my favorite sushi in lettuce rolls (lettuce bib I think they call it). Perfect texture and taste! I love the avocado with it too. Simply divine! I love it when a business can accommodate requests like this. It really goes a long way in the customer service aspect. I usually get the shrimp teriyaki bowl, but sometimes the sushi is enough. I do wish they had more than soda and teas, but I do like their tea selection. They have more than many of the other Tokyo Joe's. There is also a ton of seating and the location is super easy to get to. The minus star is because I don't always get my sushi chef (yes everyone deserves a day off) plus a couple times they had some veggies that I said not to have. I also say no 'seeds', but have had some. It happens. I do see a lot of traffic at this location, including take-out orders for GrubHub, UberEats, and DoorDash. I know I have seen them at the Tokyo Joe location in Denver on Grant Street too. Parking is MUCH BETTER at this location! I like when people have excellent customer service skills. I visit here occasionally and each time the service is so friendly. Food is quick and always consistently good. Tables are always clean.

Got a to-go order yesterday. The pick-up was super simple and the food was ready and waiting on a table when I arrived. I got my favorite Nikko salad with the miso dressing and the mango salmon sushi. Everything was great except the avocado was not at all ripe, it was pretty much rubber. I will give them a break on that though because I know they just reopened and the grocery situation is weird right now. Sushi and salad were great! The employees here are so rude and their attitudes are disgusting. I will never come to this location again. They never wear masks too. The employees have constantly disrespected us every time we come here and that's not okay. I love this location, they are always kind clean and time efficient. I always get the titaki salad (seared ahi tuna). They have very healthy options as well as items that are very savory. I love that you can build your own bento boxes and bowls now. The Boulder bowl is one of my favorites except I sub chicken for the tofu. read more

If you are looking for handicapped parking think again they have none. And registering their addict card was quite the headache of several attempts and getting an invalid card error message. But after all said and done there poky salmon tacos were amazing. They got a kick and the tortilla was a little difficult to eat. I frequent Tokyo Joe's in general, so it's safe to say that I love the food. However, I had to leave a comment about this specific location based on my last two experiences here. This is by far the cleanest and most friendly Tokyo Joe's I have ever been to. Having gone to several locations across the state, this location should really be the standard for cleanliness and customer service. I had a white chicken teriyaki which the chicken was so dry it was like eating shoe leather. The guy behind the counter didn't get one of our orders right, so we had to wait to get another one. There was an employee sitting in one of the booths and appeared to be sleeping, (just didn't look good for the imagine of the restaurant).
