Came here for a quick lunch. Restaurant wasn't very large. Few tables to sit and eat, but there is also patio seating. It is pretty much Korean American food. Really reminded me of a Korean Panda Express. You can pick a bowl that has a base of rice, noodles, and salad. Then on top you pick a protein. They have some Korean fried chicken style, or bbq chicken, pork, or beef. They'll add sauce over it and also let you pick your spice level. I got the 2 item combo with the tangy KFC and bbq beef. The tangy chicken is pretty good. Reminded me of orange chicken. The bbq beef was pretty bland without the sauce. However, after eating some to make space, you can mix the rest in the bowl. Overall the flavors balance out when mixed. I got medium spice level to try. It didn't really phase me. However, I am the dude that gets extra red sauce at halal guys. I'd try this place again. Nice portions. The bowls are packed and you'll definitely be full. You'll also get all the food groups for a somewhat healthy meal. I didn't know I needed a place like this until I tried it! I had seen the cupbop food truck on Instagram and had always wanted to try it. When I heard they were opening an Arvada location I had to see what it is all about. The model is super simple. Each cup starts with a base of rice and cabbage mix. It's topped with noodles (similar to japchae if you've been to other Korean restaurants) and then your choice of protein and sauce. The sauce levels depend on how spicy you want it. Thank you Yelp for the wonderful opportunity to try Cupbop! I had the pleasure of bringing a plus one to enjoy the experience with me. I got the combo bop consisting of the b bop and ugly pop bop. My plus one got the rock bop. Both bowls did not disappoint! Don't let the idea of the "cup" scare you because there was plenty of food to eat! I got two meals out of this and it was delicious. You get to choose the protein or proteins you want, served with a rice, cabbage, and noodle mix. Then, you choose the spice level, shake it up, and enjoy! We really liked it and would recommend it to anyone that wants something to eat on the go. Definitely going to come back and try the other options! My only complaint is the noodle to rice ratio just because I prefer more rice over noodles. Overall, everything was really flavorful. I had the "Korean" rice bowl at this fast casual fusion restaurant, but I'll return to try the ramen. Overall impression, my lunch was a pretty good Asian fusion lunch and a good value. I have a few minor quibbles, but it was overall quite tasty and I'll return to try more things from the menu. The service was friendly and efficient. The choices of meals are interesting. My biggest quibble was that the beef wasn't as good as most Korean BBQ is. I expected more powerful flavors with caramelization on the meat, but the meat was a bit limp and not caramelized. Still, it was pretty good. Don't go to this restaurant expecting authentic Korean food. Do go expecting a fun and tasty meal, and you will be rewarded. read more

I got the tofu one. The sauce was great (I think it was just sriracha mayo, i picked medium spicy.) It was definitely filling, I even had some leftovers. Not great the next day because the noodles get hard, but I appreciated the amount they give for a decent price. Easy and yummy. read more

Fast food quality with fast casual prices. Think the quality level of Wendy's or Good Times. Protein was inconsistent - the fried chicken was tasty but was 50% breading. The pork was not that great which is probably why that one had a TON of sauce on it. Almost no veggies, so almost $15 for some rice, noodle, and a bit of protein is a stretch. K dog was ok but nothing compared to a dedicated place. Potstickers were of the same quality as what you'd reheat at home from the freezer. Overall there's some promising flavors there, but it's too expensive for what you get and the food quality was low. Just went into the Arvada store, only to find that the staff are not following the Jefferson County mask mandate. I'm sorry, are we being good citizens or are we not? Whether you like it or not we do have a required mask mandate. The people preparing our food and serving our food had their mask pulled down under their chin. When I called the corporate office for customer service, that happens to be located in Utah... They didn't really seem to take this complaint with very much interest. Saw this place for the first time, decided to give it a try! At entrance trying to get my bearings on the menu options, there are a lot of choices... I wasn't familiar with any of it. Cashier says, "really just pick a protein and a heat level, it all gets mixed up." Not sure, so I picked #3 Korean fried chicken with #8 heat level (hot). I sat at the table while waiting for order to be prepared. While waiting, I observed the cashier advising another customer who just arrived and was looking around, unsure of what to order... just like me. The customer said something like, "I'm not sure where we should eat". Cashier says, "do you want an honest answer?" Customer says "yes?" Cashier points left, then right and says, "go here or there". (Pointing to the Noodles & Company next door to the left and Bad Daddy Burger Bar next door to the right). So this did cast some doubts in my mind about the food I was about to eat! I felt bad for the owners, that they have an employee like this. Food arrives: I'll break it down, the good, bad, and ugly. The Good: The rice noodles were cooked perfect, the #8 hot sauce was very good-- Just the right spicy to get your attention and make you want more. The Bad: The rice at the bottom of the bowl was not light and fluffy, but just cold and bad. And not enough vegetables! The Ugly: The Korean Fried Chicken "balls" were not fresh. Clearly old, dry, and chewy... fried some time ago and kept warm. It was down right nasty. Others in my party ordered Tofu and said it was pretty good. The bottom line: The cashier was right. I had this place on my list for almost a year but was a bit of a letdown. The bowl wasn't as full as a lot of pictures I have seen- and the sauce they put over it is sweet (I got the number 3) and dominates the flavor of everything under it. I got the combo and got the chicken katsu (only 3 pieces and driest chicken I've ever had) and the beef bulgogi (solid, definitely enjoyed). We got the potstickers as well that could best be described as lukewarm. Service was fine but the option to tip confused me when you have to pick up your food and clean up after yourself. Yes, we understood they were closing, but he made it known to all customers that they were closing. The food was pretty great the first time I came here with my husband. I loved their Japanese style fries. They've since gotten rid of that side and so I ordered the K-Dawg which is a Korean style corndog: hotdog with mozzarella cheese with an Asian style breading which is deep fried. It was super hot when it came out and very crunchy. The hotdog itself was pretty terrible tasting and so I just pulled that out and ate the rest. My husband ordered a meal, but they kept calling out a name that sort of sounded like his but we didn't realize that was only half of the order so didn't consider that could have been his meal. That meal was completely cold since it took them a good 15 min to figure out that they'd made a mistake with the names. When he realized it was cold he asked them to heat it up which they couldn't do because they don't have a microwave, and they offered to remake him a new dish but we waited for at least 15 min for our meal since it was relatively busy when we came in just to have a cold meal. For $12 it's upsetting to have to wait another 15-20 min for another meal. Overall, this place has become kind of disappointing. We won't be coming back. read more

Just watch @keith_lee125's review of cupbop and it will tell you EVERYTHING. This is the FARTHEST thing from "Korean BBQ in a cup" let me tell you. It's like as if someone were to say "Taco Bell sells Mexican food". NO IT DOES NOT. They didn't even use the marinades that are used in Korean cuisine, or in Korean bbq AT ALL. Where's the ssamjang flavor? Sesame flavors? Grilled meat? The best thing about Korean barbecue is that you get to appreciate the taste of the meat by itself, or complimented with fresh veggies and dipping sauces. Everything at Cupbop is a FUSION though, and I really wish they wouldn't promote themselves as a "Korean fast food" place because it's not. I wouldn't be surprised if the founder/owner of cup bop wasn't even Korean. The "japchae" they add to the bowls aren't even freaking japchae, they're just cellophane noodles with japchae "flavoring" and none of the veggies and essential ingredients that need to go into japchae to make it japchae (woodear mushrooms, carrots, Korean spinach etc.) are even in it!!! I could not finish my bowl and had to throw it away. They used way too much kewpie mayo making everything taste too creamy and greasy after a few bites (which is the total opposite of what Korean food is supposed to be), and there wasn't a HINT of Korean marinade flavours in ANY of the meats. Mostly tasted like teriyaki marinade (which isn't even Korean btw). I was very disappointed and frankly hope people who aren't familiar with Korean food try cupbop and think this is all Korean food has to offer. read more

Disappointed in the on screen ordering system...the counter was so busy they asked if I'd order on their screen which I didn't mind to do. BUT, when I got to the screen to select the level of hear, there wasn't anything on the screen to know if the higher or lower number indicated level of heat so i asked. She confirmed that "1" was hottest, which i knew i didnt wNt so selected 10 which made my meal unsatisfactory. Stumbled upon this place today for lunch when I was looking for a different place that must have moved. Glad we decided to stop. The staff was friendly and helpful with our ordering. This place was suuuuper delicious and different and fairly easy to order and kid friendly. We ordered the kids chicken cup which our 3yo daughter loved. My husband got the beef and chicken combo. I got the beef and veggie combo. The spice levels were spot on. The meals were huge for the price and very filling. We will most definitely be back again. 3/5 if i was rating this as a Korean BBQ establishment. I would maybe give it a 4 as a Korean fast food/ quick bites. I've been to this location once, another location of W 32nd Ave once, and also visited their food truck once. Overall, the food is pretty consistent across the locations. It's set up very much like a chipotle where the food is prepped ahead of time and your order is put together as you go through the line. The menu is pretty limited, about 9 options, and basically allows you to choose protein component, and the sauce which corresponds to spice level between 1 and 10. There are two fried chicken options, one plain fried and the other coated in sauce which was my favorite. The other options were pork, beef and chicken bulgogi style (not deep fried). When I tried the pork at this location, I found it rather dry. The sauce spice level is accurate I find. I got a 6 once and it was just enough spice to slow me down. I also tried the 10 and it was definitely spicy but it's not unbearable. The base of the bowl is made up of sweet potato noodles (not sweet at all, kinda like vermicelli noodles), topped with some veggies. Without the sauce on top, the base would be pretty bland by itself. Overall, this is a unique place to stop at for a quick bite and good for people who want to try some Korean food but I would consider this more Korean-fusion rather than authentic Korean food. read more
