I love ordering from Cupbop, especially with uber delivery. I have never had a bad experience.

This was my first time trying Cupbop.. I've been skeptical to try them because in Idaho it's really difficult to find any style of Asian food that is actually good (with the exception of the Vietnamese pho places around here, none of the other Asian themed restaurants are actually authentic). Today was "Cupbop Day" which means you can get a good discount on your bowl order and at $5.99, I decided to give them a try. I know what real Korean food tastes like because I worked in a Korean spa for 5 years and they had an authentic Korean restaurant inside the spa where me and my co-workers often got our lunch from. This definitely does not taste the same as the Korean food I've had in the past, it's more americanized but given this is in Idaho and for what it is, it's not bad. It wouldn't be something I would crave all the time but it's somewhere I would go to again if I was in the mood for it. I think of it as the Panda Express of Korean food. For my meal, I got the cup filled with sweet potato noodles, cabbage at the very bottom, steamed veggies (broccoli, cauliflower and carrots incase you were wondering which veggies they include) and the Rock chicken which is like tangy glazed fried chicken chunks. I asked for sauce on the side including a lime flavored sauce and also added on a coconut Yogo Vera which is a Korean yogurt and aloe vera drink. I skipped rice because I am trying to watch my carb intake and I'd rather have yummy sweet potato noodles anyways. I LOVED the drink and I enjoyed all the ingredients I got in my bowl as well. The rock chicken does have a bit of a tangy glaze on it but i actually didn't find the flavor to be really sweet or strong. Veggies and noodles were cooked well and also taste great. The sauces were good, especially the lime sauce. That mayo sauce I didn't use much of because again, trying to be better with my carb intake and the lime one was tastier to me anyways. I just dipped my fork in them and drizzled onto my bowl to my liking which I think is better than having them put it on because with the amount they give, I can see them drowning your food in the sauce. I got 6 out of 10 on the heat level and felt that was perfect. It was just a hint of heat in the creamy hot mayo. Overall I'd say check them out if you haven't- especially if you can get a discount to try it like me ! read more

Cupbop gave me a great reason to have them for dinner tonight. They sent me a buy one get one free coupon recently and I'm happy I got to use it tonight. It's been a hot minute since I have eaten here. I used to work in this area so eating here was easy. Now that I have moved locations, I haven't been able to enjoy their food lately. We were greeted by two people. The lady that was helping us tonight had a genuine, beautiful smile. She got our orders taken and they started working on them. My daughter got the combination ugly chicken and mandoo. I got the tofu and veggies combination. I love that they fresh fry the tofu when you order it. It's always do crispy on the outside and soft in the middle. The gentleman sauced up our bowls and boy did they look good! I did ask the gentleman not to put the lid on just yet. I wanted to take photos of the bowls before they got smashed from the lids. I felt like he was annoyed that I asked him to put the lid on just yet. Like I rubbed him the wrong way. I grabbed a bag and bagged up my own bowls so I didn't bother him anymore. I look forward to the day when there's a Cupbop in my neck of the woods. I could eat the noodles, tofu and veggies every night if I could. I haven't had a bad meal from this joint. They are so consistent with their food! Pretty standard as far as Cupbop goes but I'm writing this review because Gage helped us today and he was phenomenal! We came in with a large family order and he was so patient. He was quick and efficient. We were a little high maintenance and he still smiled and went out of his way to make sure we had exactly what we wanted. We eat at Cupbop once a week and over the last few years he has been the best employee that we've ever encountered. And that says a lot because most of the employees at all locations we've been to have been friendly. read more

Interior is nothing fancy. Standard fastfood style. Service is rough. They didn't have any pot stickers and the server/cashier couldn't make change. It was going into the tip jar anyways so he only hurt himself. Food was ok. Nothing to write home about. Sauces helped. Not my first choice if deciding where to grab a quick bite. read more

CupBop in general is fairly tasty, however, this is the worst location I've ever experienced. - Staff was inattentive and unhelpful - it was 5:30pm on a Monday and they were almost out of vegetables which meant in addition to the 4 pieces of chicken there were "crumbs" of vegetables, just small half or quarter pieces and not a full scoop. - There were no forks or other plastic utensils, only chop sticks, they were out, I asked. - The Fountain drinks were either out of or flat on the root beer, Mountain Dew, Diet Pepsi, and another I can't recall. When I asked for them to be fixed.. was told they were out of the syrup mix needed to resolve the issue. - it was dirty with uncleaned tables and the napkin dispenser was just gross in how much filth was all over it. If you like CupBop, I recommend avoiding this location. read more

Went in got two bowls one beef and one pork (piggy). Got home had two beef bowls and one was completely burnt to a crisp meat was black and the entire bowl tasted burnt. This is one of my go to spots but I am very disappointed in the quality of food they gave me. read more

First impression is 2.5-3 stars based on convenience, taste and business concept. New location in The Village but closer to Eagle by Cafe Rio. Future tenants in the same building are under construction. Ample parking and the handicapped spots were located right in front. They're hiring too. We stopped in for a quick lunch and there were a few patrons eating inside. The interior seemed spacious but there didn't seem to be a lot of tables around. You order at the counter while they fill up your bowl with the toppings of your choice. We got 2, B Bop bowls, with level 5 & 10 spice and a side order of mandoo for around $23. Their mandoo had a decent flavor but the rice was mediocre-it was probably sitting around awhile. The glass noodles were ok but tasted better with the spicy sauce. The meat was alright and definitely had a fast-food taste. Next time, I would like to try the tofu or mandoo bowl. I'm apt to return, if I want a fast fix but would rather eat at a full service Korean place. Good location and I'm looking forward to some other new spots to Yelp! read more

The staff went above and beyond for my fiancé and I tonight and I hope the owner is proud of such a great team. Walking into a new restaurant can be overwhelming (especially with our restrictions) but the three gentlemen that waited on us and walked us through the variety and knew their stuff, providing the best customer service. I only wished I got their names so I could mention them here. Special thanks to the crew for marking which foods were spicy and which were gluten free. I have celiac disease and I'm vegetarian so dining out is always a challenge but the crew know their market and showed us my options. The sweet potato noodles were quite nice, and knowing the tofu is fried in separate fryer from the bartered foods makes me feel at ease. I believe the risk of cross contamination to be quite low here, which is good for anyone on the gluten free diet like me. The sauce selection seemed a little intimidating at first, but again our staff went above and beyond, walking us through each sauce option and which were sweet and spicy. I lean toward sweet, my fiancé likes the spicy stuff. The price was as expected and portion size great. I even have a little left over for tomorrow. This is perhaps one of the most authentic Asian meals I've ever had outside my kitchen since moving to Idaho. And that's 100% a great thing. They don't mess around on spicy either- anything over a 5- keep milk handy unless you really want to burn off your tastebuds. We got a BBQ chicken and they were happy to meet my dietary needs and use no rice, just noodles. We also got a Korean fried chicken and a beef/chicken combo. All were very tasty. The #1 sauce is very sweet, so maybe ask for less sauce or have it on the side. The portions are generous and we were very full Super quick service and they were very friendly. When I entered an employee was in the dining room eating--not a big deal but engaged in conversation with the employees behind the counter working while they were/should be servicing the current customers in line. So excited for the new, more central location! At first I was hesitant about it being Eagle Rd because let's face it, Eagle Rd is a traffic nightmare. However, the parking lot they picked is super convenient with plenty of parking availability (the parking lot at the Chinden Rd location is a cluster...). As someone who's lived in Korea I found the food to be quite bland even trying to cover it up with the different sauces doesn't help much and is not the way it's served in Korea. I've given them 3stars for trying. The chicken is like Mc Nuggets and mostly overcooked, rice is undercooked. I will have to continue to go to the Korean restaurants in the area to be able to enjoy some more authentic food read more

If I could give this place a no star review I would! Arrived at 8pm Saturday evening after a day on the water starving! My grandkids, my daughter and myself. The kiddos like the "Ugly with extra chicken. Right away the young lady told us they don't have enough noodles or rice to give us the normal portion, my daughter and looked at each other and decided to feed the kids. As we got to the part to add the chicken she said the same thing "Not enough" I said "Are you kidding me" she said yes the fryer has been cleaned already an hour before they close. The kids got 2 pieces of chicken and they charged us full price. Ok so it may take time to clean but prep enough food to be able to serve your guests. I truly believe this is a management problem. I think the employees are trying to get out of there at exactly 9pm as there was only 1 table available to sit at all the others were stacked in the corner. Noodles where crispy in the worst way possible & I would steer clear of the meat in general if that's what you want to call it. So i posted a review just 15 days ago and i went back for a second chance and once again my order was messed up i don't understand why the workers dont listen to what i say but again when i went i asked for extra sauce in my cupbob and i was slow and specific because last time i didnt get any and even with the extra precautions she put the extra sauce into the wrong cupbop and didnt put any in the one i wanted it in, in my previous review the owner offered me a free cupbop but i cant reply to that i would love some free cupbop but know that i will never go back to the copbop off of meridian again because the staff cant figure it out read more

Having lived in Korea before, I have a preconception as to what "Korean Food" is and should taste like; this isn't it! As a novel "fast food" style restaurant, it is unique. The portions of the food were good and filling. The acoustics inside the building were as atrocious as they come; far from inviting. The "Korean Style Chicken" was closer to MacDonalds chicken McNuggets than it was to anything I ever had in Korea. My wife got the mild sauce, got it moderately (Recommended house) hot. The mild sauce had a strange artificial nauseatingly sweet plastic flavor, mine had some true Korean flavors and heat, but it was not enough to offset or save the lackluster McNuggets. Basically, no matter what sauce one masked it with, it was not "Korean Style Chicken."
