    Battered and seasoned fries
    Amanda S.

It's one of the better places for delicious Nashville hot chicken and, as of recently, Korean corn dogs. I'm sure it ain't cheap leasing from the Village which is why I won't hit them harder on their sky-high prices. I also don't really care as I'm happy to throw my money food good food. If you're on a budget, this is your warning. On a recent visit I indulged in the Coo Coo Sando (brioche bun, coleslaw, pickles, crispy onion, ranch, comeback sauce, fries) with level 4 (ugly) heat and I loved every bite! It's packed full of flavor and my chosen level was perfect for me. The chicken is juicy and generously seasoned. The comeback sauce delicious! I highly recommend ordering extra ($0.50 a ramekin) because you'll want it on your sandwich (yes, more) and your fries. The fries are battered and seasoned and they were SO GOOD. I'll be returning soon to try their bowls and corn dogs!

    Bang Bang Chicken Sandwich combo

With all the chicken places appearing everywhere it's hard to stand out in the crowd. This place seems to do that with its current options. I have eaten here multiple times from the first time it opened, till just yesterday. While it has had its ups and downs with not only quality/quantity of food(chicken size changed for a bit) and service, (staffing seems to be a tough thing with many restaurants these days it seems) I'd say 80% of the time they have nailed it these last few years, hence the four stars. Every time I have been there I have ordered the bang bang sandwich combo and with the $15 price tag on that combo you don't leave much room for error. The chicken was meaty, not too bready and I really enjoy the flavor of their chicken coating. The fries have a nice coating on them too that is tasty. Their sauces are good but no game changers. This time I also ordered a korean fried corn dog half and half with cheese and sausage. Its a standard korean corn dog you'd get from Seattle, or Hawaii. Good breading and a great crunch with a whole host of flavor options like Takis. But with the $5 price, and only a $1 more for other options, it is a little cheaper than the major cities.

Corn dogs were amazing. Love the sauce that came with the potato mozzarella corn dog, delicious and compliments each other so well in flavor. Mozzarella pull was fun for my kids while eating the corn dogs. I ordered the pistachio Dubai strawberry chocolate cup but was given the matcha strawberry cup instead. The green did look a little bright to be pistachio but didn't realize until we left and was eating it in the car, that the taste confirm it was matcha not pistachio. Service was excellent besides the switch up on the Dubai strawberry cup. Restaurant was clean and vibe was fun and ease. Employee was friendly and kind. Not a long wait, food made fresh. Good location, Located in the village at Meridian. I say best on the go food. Would recommend to anyone who is looking for a corn dog with a fun twist.

A gross piece of chicken that made the sandwich disgusting
    Brad I.

Food was disgusting. Chicken was tough and under cooked. No good flavor, fries tasted like they've been in the freezer too long and had a freezer burn taste. Definitely not the meal I had hoped for. Save yourself the money and go elsewhere. My wife didn't mind her Korean corndog but a chicken place with terrible tasting and rough tendon tells you all you need to know

The food is always amazing and the owners are super super sweet. We came on a sunday when it was only two people one at the register and one in kitchen and they handled it amazing. Ambiance is always nice and everything is clean. Very hardworking props to them!!! keep it up

Tried their new bulgogi plate, added asparagus. Meat was very well cooked, and the new management are super kind

Food is of great quality, and with the new management who care about their customers, I'll be coming back.

What a nice spot to hangout at. You've got ramen, fried chicken, and Korean corn dogs! The staff is friendly and helpful. They do their best to make sure you're taken care, some of the best corndogs you can get in town! Cheese pulls are a must, if you love Mozerella. The chicken sandwiches are always a big hit. Juicy and spicy all in one. The ramen bowls you get to make are so satisfying, it reminds me of a 7/11 in Japan. If you are in this area, it's a must go to for an experience of soul food.

The food was amazing. We had the coo coo chicken sando and the potato and hot Cheetos 1/2 meet 1/2 chees corn dogs. Ken (register staff) was an amazing help and was patient as we worked through our order. We'll definitely be back!!

I walked and and was greeted by a young man and he was helpful as It was nearing closing time and had a pleasant convo as I was trying to decide what I wanted .. I prepped beforehand however being in the restaurant is different and allowed I to read the menu and get a feel of the whole place. I ordered the wings Got the 3 spicy levels except the one that is ghost pepper spicy. The restaurant didn't have many customers except one couple the music was loud yet a great selection of songs were on. I waited for my order and chatted with the General Manager of the restaurant who stopped in on her day off to help close. The young man did something to his knee. The GM greeted me and packed up my order. When looked over the order it appeared the fries wereng included, I called in and let them know and the GM happily said she'd have the kitchen make fries and apologized. While I was waiting relooked and the fries were there and went inside and let them know and the GM said to have the fries. I had soo much fries when got home and ate. The chicken was def burnin and bomb! Best tasting hot chicken compared to Dave's Hot Chicken tried. Can't wait to go back thanks Burnin' Mouth keep up the Customer service

Pretty solid chicken sandwich spot. I got the bang bang with garlic soy sauce (non-spicy). The taste didn't quite hit the spot for me. I shoulda gone with a more traditional spicy chicken sandwich. The size and the texture were great. The fries and the accompanying sauce really hit the spot though. Pretty good deal for ten bucks considering sometimes you gotta pay extra for the fries. Looking forward to coming back and trying more items

This is IT. Oh my word, one of the best hot chicken sandwiches I've ever had. This is a great, (and needed) spot in The Village! Cool atmosphere and the nicest, most helpful employees. I will definitely be back and I will be telling everyone I know about it because it is THAT good! I tried the Bang Bang and it was so flavorful!

    Chicken Sandwich no spice
    Graysen S.

Honestly the best chicken sandwich! Even if you're not a fan of spicy, they have all different spice levels and even none. This place has only been here 3 weeks ago or so, and definitely is here to stay IMO! They were packed when we went with a line out the door. I've been to multiple hot chicken places in Hawaii, Seattle, and LA and these are just as good. You have to try the soy garlic sauce too. So so good. I can definitely see myself coming back here!

    Coo coo sandwich
    Taylor W.

With so many new hot chicken places in the valley, Burnin' Mouth lived up to the hype. I had heard word that it was great but wanted to try it out for myself. The coo coo sandwich itself was incredible. From the first bite I was hooked. The sauce, as well as the crispy onions on top, made this a top 5 chicken sandwich for me. The chicken is cooked fresh and was very juicy while maintains a crispy exterior. There are 5 different levels of heat that you can choose from. I got the good (3rd hottest) and felt it was the perfect amount of spice. All of their menu items have to be bought as a meal which isn't always ideal. The reason I gave 4 stars was because I felt that the quality of their fries was lacking. They were well seasoned but had absolutely no crunch, it was as if they'd barely been cooked. Hearing from friends, it also seems that the quantity of fries that they currently give out has decreased in comparison to past visits. While I am a huge fry person, it isn't enough to keep me away from coming back to burnin mouth, the sandwich was that good.

My mom wanted a burger, specifically a Guacamole Bacon Burger and fries, and we were in the neighborhood, having just left Rave. We went through the drive-thru and placed the order. We were shocked at the total, which came to nearly $17.00, but understood that in this economy and with grocery prices, it was what it was. We arrived at the window and waited, and waited, and waited. I knew that they cooked everything to order, but it felt like an eternity had passed since paying. Finally, the order was ready and we went home. Not only was I disappointed with the burger, but I was upset that what we paid for and the time we spent did not equal what we received. The amount of Guacamole was like a spread, and there was no deft to that burger. For the amount that we paid, that burger should have been loaded. My mom made the most appropriate comment, " Honey, Somebody shrunk my burger!" We won't be back, but at least I have my memories of a time long ago, in which Main Street made delicious burgers made with love and care and stacked with all the fixings just like in my pictures.

Pickled jalapenos are hit and miss for heat anyway. Toasted bun and a good amount of toppings on the burger. The onion rings were tasty and fried perfectly. Buying a soda gets you one refill. He used to frequent this joint when it was off of Fairview so he knew what kind of service and food to expect. It was my first time so I was excited to see what they had to offer. Walking in, the place was bright and clean. I headed to the counter and this sweet gal greeted me. I got my husband his usual which is a grilled ham and cheese sammy. I ordered a bunless double cheeseburger with jalapenos and grilled onions. Of course I got a side of fries and a vanilla shake to go with my husband's sammy. You gotta have fries with a burger! Since I recently got my new kidney, I have to be really careful with utensils, condiments and lids that are communal. I have to be so careful with germs that could possibly be on these common items. I told the sweet gal behind the counter about my new kidney. The gal was sweet and let me grab what I needed out of the boxes behind the counter that no one had access to. I appreciate that she was understanding and kind about my safety. Didn't question it one bit! I got my utensils, ketchup packets and napkins. My burger was so tasty! I was only able to finish half of it. So, next time I will definitely just get a single patty. There was plenty of cheese, jalapenos and grilled onions. The fries were hot, salty and crispy. I did enjoy the soggier fries, the soggy ones are my favorite. The fry sauce and ranch were both great dipping sauces for the fries. My husband did not share one sip of that vanilla shake and he finished the whole thing. I'll take that as a great shake! From the service to the food, everything was great! I appreciate the gal behind the counter for being so kind and considerate about my health needs when she didn't have to. The fries and burger that I had was killer! I say that ranch was some of the best I have had. We are never really on that end of town but if we are, I know where we will be eating! You can never go wrong with a good burger and fries.

The bun was a bit disproportioned and more "delicate" I guess you could say so it broke apart easily. This comes to preference but I thought the fries were cut too thick and wish they were crispier. We were close to the area and we finally were able to visit and I'm sure glad we did. The restaurant is located in a nice shopping center on the corner of Eagle and Overland, immediately on the other side of 84. The location is nestled towards the back of the center and can easily be missed as it's tucked in the corner of a small lot. We were greeted with a huge smile and swift seating to a booth in the larger dining room area. Even though it was barely 11:30 am on a Saturday, the dining room was already filling with hungry customers and the kitchen was notably bustling. We had Kaitlyn as our server. She arrived with a sunny disposition and eagerness to get our orders going. Downside, due to cost, tomatoes are not available. I have to say, that kind of broke my heart a little...tomatoes, in my eyes, are a requirement for every burger. I ordered the Bleu Bacon single burger and hubby had the cheeseburger. We ordered a small fry (1/2 pound) for us to share. Food did take quite a while to come out, but our server did come by several times to check on us, refill drinks, and give us updates (apparently a large to-go order backlogged the kitchen). The burgers came out first. I was a little underwhelmed with the small burger plate and cheese that was obviously cold when added to the burger and had become a tad sweaty from being steamed instead of melted. I had little hope....but then I took my first bite. The Kaiser hamburger bun was soft, burger patty was nicely seasoned and the bleu cheese was punchy without being overwhelming. The bacon sung through. The fries quickly followed. We were surprised by the home cut style, thick and irregular...rustic and perfectly cooked. These suckers are huge. But with every fry, it was crunch-tender on the outside and fluffy on the inside. I really enjoyed our visit, but the place seemed to be a little understaffed. Several tables had plates stacked or cleaning supplies atop the tables. That aside, service was attentive and the food tasted great, even without the tomatoes.
