Loved every bit of my experience very here. The girl working the front was super nice as was the cook who showed me my basket of food. Everything was cleaned well so we felt comfortable. The reason I stopped by? No places around have delivered the heat I'm looking for. So seeing a restaurant named "Burnin Mouth" had me hopeful. The nice girl up front recommend the chicken strips so I order one insane, one ugly, and one good from their spice chart. The insane was amazing! I loved it! I finally got the kick I love! The breading is delicious and their sauces were great as well. I only wish they were located in a drive through area instead of the village where traffic is too much to justify stopping off and picking up food from here, so I could come more often! My friend wanted to try Korean corndogs at Burnin Mouth so that's what we did today! We were instantly greeted as soon as we walked in! The Asian gentlemen that was working the counter was so nice! He helped us through the menu since it was our first time there. He took our orders and was fun and kind! My friend and I basically ordered the same thing. We snagged a hot dog corndog with potatoes and a cheese stick in it's original form. These babies came out hot!! They were fried to a perfect golden brown. I started off with the potatoe crusted dog! I dipped that baby in ketchup and mustard, it was so good! I did order some hot cheese thinking it was hot cheese but it's actually hot in spice. It was still good and had a good amount of heat to it. I took a bite of the cheese dog and it had the best cheese pull! I didn't eat much of it cause the potatoe corndog was huge! Our eyes were bigger than our stomachs. The gentleman did give us a couple extra sauces to try. He gave us a couple honey packets so i look forward to eating the rest of my cheese dog with the honey. The venue was big and bright! I noticed they have one of those big garage doors. I can imagine it being a fun spot to hit up during spring and early summer. Burnin' Mouth is an amazing addition to the food scene in Meridian! It's located in the Village, so you can stop by here for a quick bite in between your shopping. If you've never had Korean corn dogs before or have been craving one, this is the place to go! Obvious PSA: Korean corn dogs are different from American corn dogs since it's made of bread dough + panko instead of cornmeal. We ordered their chicken sandwich combo and a half mozzarella/half sausage Korean corn dog. I was super stoked to see that this place had actual affordable Korean corn dogs! I've been to the two other places that sell Korean corn dogs at $10+ here and I was not impressed (my creds are that I've frequented a lot of Korean restaurants and also been to Korea). The worker who took my order was a nice Korean man who even realized it was our first time visiting, so he gave us recommendations on what to order. It's one of the better places for delicious Nashville hot chicken and, as of recently, Korean corn dogs. I'm sure it ain't cheap leasing from the Village which is why I won't hit them harder on their sky-high prices. I also don't really care as I'm happy to throw my money food good food. If you're on a budget, this is your warning. On a recent visit I indulged in the Coo Coo Sando (brioche bun, coleslaw, pickles, crispy onion, ranch, comeback sauce, fries) with level 4 (ugly) heat and I loved every bite! It's packed full of flavor and my chosen level was perfect for me. The chicken is juicy and generously seasoned. The comeback sauce delicious! I highly recommend ordering extra ($0.50 a ramekin) because you'll want it on your sandwich (yes, more) and your fries. The fries are battered and seasoned and they were SO GOOD. With all the chicken places appearing everywhere it's hard to stand out in the crowd. This place seems to do that with its current options. I have eaten here multiple times from the first time it opened, till just yesterday. While it has had its ups and downs with not only quality/quantity of food(chicken size changed for a bit) and service, (staffing seems to be a tough thing with many restaurants these days it seems) I'd say 80% of the time they have nailed it these last few years, hence the four stars. Every time I have been there I have ordered the bang bang sandwich combo and with the $15 price tag on that combo you don't leave much room for error. The chicken was meaty, not too bready and I really enjoy the flavor of their chicken coating. The fries have a nice coating on them too that is tasty. Their sauces are good but no game changers. This time I also ordered a korean fried corn dog half and half with cheese and sausage. Its a standard korean corn dog you'd get from Seattle, or Hawaii. Good breading and a great crunch with a whole host of flavor options like Takis. But with the $5 price, and only a $1 more for other options, it is a little cheaper than the major cities. read more

Corn dogs were amazing. Love the sauce that came with the potato mozzarella corn dog, delicious and compliments each other so well in flavor. Mozzarella pull was fun for my kids while eating the corn dogs. I ordered the pistachio Dubai strawberry chocolate cup but was given the matcha strawberry cup instead. The green did look a little bright to be pistachio but didn't realize until we left and was eating it in the car, that the taste confirm it was matcha not pistachio. Service was excellent besides the switch up on the Dubai strawberry cup. Restaurant was clean and vibe was fun and ease. Employee was friendly and kind. Not a long wait, food made fresh. The dipping sauces I got was ketchup, mustard, and their comeback sauce. The comeback sauce was a very interesting flavor, but I wasn't mad at it. The corn dog its self was ok. Super thick. I prefer koko bell over this place for that particular food item. The fries were super crunchy. I rate them top notch. We also got three tendies. The second from the most hot. Called "Ugly". It was a good spicy. You kept feeling it after you ate it. The batter on them had a nice crunch. Definitely recommend. The restaurant itself was pretty clean. Service was great. read more

The Coo Coo chicken sandwich with "ugly" sauce (their level 3 heat) was spicy enough, but it was clear I could have gone with the next level. Chicken was moist inside and crispy outside. Fast friendly service which is good because the parking situation inside the Village. Going on line, one can see that the meals at Meridian are marked up in price sgnificantly over those franchises in other states. I walked and and was greeted by a young man and he was helpful as It was nearing closing time and had a pleasant convo as I was trying to decide what I wanted .. I prepped beforehand however being in the restaurant is different and allowed I to read the menu and get a feel of the whole place. I ordered the wings Got the 3 spicy levels except the one that is ghost pepper spicy. The restaurant didn't have many customers except one couple the music was loud yet a great selection of songs were on. I waited for my order and chatted with the General Manager of the restaurant who stopped in on her day off to help close. The young man did something to his knee. The GM greeted me and packed up my order. When looked over the order it appeared the fries wereng included, I called in and let them know and the GM happily said she'd have the kitchen make fries and apologized. While I was waiting relooked and the fries were there and went inside and let them know and the GM said to have the fries. I had soo much fries when got home and ate. Pretty solid chicken sandwich spot. I got the bang bang with garlic soy sauce (non-spicy). The taste didn't quite hit the spot for me. I shoulda gone with a more traditional spicy chicken sandwich. Honestly the best chicken sandwich! Even if you're not a fan of spicy, they have all different spice levels and even none. This place has only been here 3 weeks ago or so, and definitely is here to stay IMO! They were packed when we went with a line out the door. I've been to multiple hot chicken places in Hawaii, Seattle, and LA and these are just as good. You have to try the soy garlic sauce too. So so good. The coo coo sandwich itself was incredible. From the first bite I was hooked. The sauce, as well as the crispy onions on top, made this a top 5 chicken sandwich for me. The chicken is cooked fresh and was very juicy while maintains a crispy exterior. There are 5 different levels of heat that you can choose from. I got the good (3rd hottest) and felt it was the perfect amount of spice. All of their menu items have to be bought as a meal which isn't always ideal. The reason I gave 4 stars was because I felt that the quality of their fries was lacking. They were well seasoned but had absolutely no crunch, it was as if they'd barely been cooked. Hearing from friends, it also seems that the quantity of fries that they currently give out has decreased in comparison to past visits. While I am a huge fry person, it isn't enough to keep me away from coming back to burnin mouth, the sandwich was that good. read more

The place was packed, but that didn't stop the service from being top notch. With friendly staff and quickly prepped food. The ambiance was cozy and lively! I ordered the 3 piece chicken strips with heat level Ugly/Burnin up, as well as the Coo Coo Sando with Good/Comfortably Hot heat level (as I didn't want the heat to overpower the coleslaw). The crunch, flavor, freshness, and heat level of the chicken strips was just perfect. Not to mention the house made dipping sauce was absolutely incredible. Would absolutely buy a bottle if they sold it. The Coo Coo Sando stole the show though. You just can't go wrong with a brioche bun chicken sandwich, with mouth watering coleslaw, and to top it off with their sauce & pickles. I don't think I've ever eaten a sandwich that big, so fast! If I wasn't full I would've ordered a second one on the spot. Best Hot Chicken Sandwich I've ever had; and I've scoffed down quite a few in my days. The guy ringing us up used a single pair of gloves all while touching the tablet, pushing the door to go in and out of the kitchen, prepping food, pulling his pants pants up, plating food, grabbing dirty/used trays and wiping them down with a dry rag to put new food on, prepped sauce cups, scratching his eye and covering his mouth to cough.
