I'm wondering if it hadn't populated in my search yet because the reviews are not stellar- but it was worth a try! I saw that they had cookies and that's actually what I really wanted to try. I ended up buying one chocolate chip cookie, one of the banana caramel cupcakes, one Red Velvet, cupcake, one chocolate and caramel and one vanilla cheesecake. The only one that I thought was decent was the banana and even that was overly sweet and actually not very flavorful. I know that sounds wild, but they just weren't very good.. I've always passed by this shop but never bought anything. But my husband knows I have a sweet tooth and my kids as well and he brought us some. I walked into this place without any prior research done, I did not check Yelp to see if I should or should not go in. I've seen this place around for YEARS and never went in. Well, I wish I kept it that way. I love cupcakes but this place and the owner doesn't. It's evident. After a quick shopping session, I walked in with my boyfriend and saw there was a worker and a lady there, maybe she was related to the worker, maybe not but they were talking until we walked in. I don't remember if they even greeted us but I could tell they were staring at us, as if we interrupted their private conversation. I looked at the available cupcakes and it didn't take long - the place is small and there's not much to it. The worker answered my question about the cupcake sandwich and I got the red velvet. She comes through the wooden gate and grabs the cupcake without gloves. She didn't use hand sanitizer before touching the food item...She doesn't even use tongs or a piece of paper as a barrier between her and the pastry. Ummm. She touches the wooden gate again and rings me up. My boyfriend and I looked at each other and I knew what he was thinking. "This place does not believe in wearing gloves." "Does the worker have common sense?" He asked me if I was sure if I wanted that and I think something came over me because I somehow paid $5 for a cupcake that someone touched with their bare hands. The frosting and filling clearly came from a can or a bulk bucket--nothing tasted homemade. Freezer burnt cupcakes! Disgusting and you could even smell how bad the freezer burnt is! Tastes horrible! So disappointing.

I used to treat my kiddo to these a few times a month and stopped as the quality has declined tremendously since they first open. We were in the area and my kiddo (now a teen) pleaded for me to make a stop, citing it reminds her of her younger years. Despite my apprehension, we made the stop, and selected a dozen. These cupcakes are the perfect example of "looks can be deceiving." The icings are painfully sweet and when I took a bite of the cake, it was oddly hard and stale. Absolutely, disgusting! Shame on them for selling cupcakes that has to be weeks old. This is far from gourmet and belongs in the trash. For the prices they charge, do yourself a favor and go support a real baker that will make you fresh cupcakes using quality ingredients. The sad truth is, regular groceries stores cupcakes tastes much better than these for 1/4 of the cost. I had a lemon cupcake from here: The presentation of their cupcakes was good, albeit with a lot of food coloring. The cupcake itself had okay texture, but seemed to be lacking depth of flavor. I purchased the Black Forest cupcake which is a chocolate cupcake with cherry filling, frosted with vanilla buttercream and topped with 1 maraschino. I was so excited to try it, but the cupcake turned out very dry and synthetic tasting. Nothing about it was memorable; the frosting was hard and overly sweet while the only moist and "fresh tasting" thing was the filling and cherry which came from a can. I did visit about 2 hours before closing so I am hoping that it was just an end of the day issue, but reading other reviews, the cupcakes might taste like this all day! Let's just say.... They have so many flavors to choose from. I really like that about this place. I couldn't decide due to the fact all the cupcakes looked so good. So I had to try the flavor of the month! Last month it was Cookies and Cream! It was a very moist Chocolate cupcake with an Oreo Cookies frosting and sprinkles of fresh Oreos on top! Why didn't I read Yelp before coming here? Well it's because I was lured in by Groupon. Yes folks, it happens to the best of us. Bought a Groupon for $20 and you can spend $30. Located at Howe and Arden, they have a small storefront in the corner of the strip mall. I noticed their sign at the front of the door which said "Masks Required for Entry" or something to that effect. We are not out of the woods yet, so of course this would be standard right? First thing I noticed were that the two workers there did not have masks on at all. Okay, maybe if they had a "masks optional" sign at the door (which would have still been infuriating) I wouldn't have been taken aback at the sight of two mask-less individuals behind the counter. But to require that your customers wear masks and you don't have to is hypocrisy times ten. And to top it off, the cupcakes are pretty much flavorless. So how was our overall experience? In short--what a disappointment. I added a star for service. The young girl at the counter was great, helpful and very sweet. If the service had been subpar as well this place would have barely deserved a star. The cupcakes LOOK appetizing but they can't even really be called cupcakes. We decided on the vanilla cupcake with dulce de leche. Upon first glance, it was pretty and had a cute little dollop of caramel sauce on top. But the taste was so off-putting. Cupcakes are supposed to taste light and moist but this cake was dense and had a more similar consistency to pound cake. The frosting wasn't much better...it tasted like flavored whipped butter. Between the two of us we couldn't even finish it.
