I was totally impressed by Cure coffee last weekend. They had a great selection of coffee and espresso drinks as well as Turkish coffee. The baked goods were really delicious especially the bacon and cheese scone. It can be challenging to find a good coffee shop that also serves delicious pastries but Cure does an excellent job. Drinks were prepared quickly and there is plenty of seating inside to enjoy. read more

I ordered a matcha latte , but asked if I could do it as a regular matcha tea and not as a latte .The guy behind the counter was a bit condescending and asked "so water on water ?"....From my understanding , latte meant milk , so no not water on water , but the regular tea powder with water was what I was asking for. I didn't argue with him since he was already being condescending so I just took it with milk and left it at that. The drink wasn't bad . Service could be better. read more

Always looking for a nice, comfortable coffee shop that gets me away from Starbucks. Cure was great for that. I had a Turkish coffee and a scone. The coffee was good (though don't really have anything to compare it to as it was my first one). The scone was very flavorful. All their pastry items were flavored though, which was a problem for my kid (no plain croissant, basic scone, etc.). The decor was more modern - not sure it'd be all that comfortable for longer coffee shop sessions if I was looking to work. read more

Stopped by and tried the blueberry scone and lavender blackberry cake. Blueberry scone was delicious, not overly sweet and it was buttery. It was soft and crumbly, not hard or tough. I should have gotten two. Lavender blackberry cake also had a hint of sweet licorice. Made for a nice surprise and paired well with lavender and blackberry. Cake itself was moist and soaked perfectly in what appeared to be blackberries. I ate both same day, and had coffee with each. I will definitely be back and next time I'll try the tomato mozzarella basil sandwich. The egg salad looked to be a good afternoon lunch. Can't wait to try! Sweet lady who helped me was very nice. They have a punch card system that applies to drinks only, and they had a good selection of different coffees, so I'll try one of theirs next time. The vibe inside was completely different than Starbucks. Lots of natural lighting and design gave a great aesthetic feel. read more

This place is right by 183, so of very easy access. There is a lot of parking and the it is very beautifully decorated. There is a lot of natural light. I ordered the vegan and gluten free banana bread which was fresh off the oven. It was a generous serving. Not overly sweet or grainy as we see with lots of gluten free stuff. The chocolate make it extra yummy and it had that kind of crust, but it was still moist inside. The banana flavor was not overpowering either. My friend had the danish and she mentioned it was flaky and creamy. Their coffee is strong, just like it is supposed to be. For people who are not used to that May not like it. So ensure you go easy on that. read more

Cute little coffee shop right off 183 and when I walked in I was greeted warmly. Really great selection of coffee and a decent number of desserts and pastries (both savory and sweet). I ended up getting a cold brew (black) and a ham and cheese danish. The cold brew was delicious and not bitter. Consider me wired after drinking half of it. The ham and cheese danish was scrumptious. Found this place when doing a Yelp! search and saw that they served Turkish coffee. That's all I needed to see. I was in. The Turkish coffee did not disappoint. It's served with a small, light sugar cookie and small glass of water to cleanse the palate while you wait for the grounds to settle. If you're unfamiliar with Turkish coffee, you should know that the grounds are in the cup (pressed into the bottom). Think of it as a double espresso with grounds, so you need to let the grounds settle so you don't drink them. Ordered the blueberry scone and the chocolate croissant. The blueberry scone had just the right amount of moisture, not super dry or cake-like -- just right. The chocolate croissant may have been the lightest croissant I've picked up. Airy and not saturated with too much butter. The chocolate inside is a wonderful dark chocolate. Bright and inviting interior that lets you forget that you're just off of 183. Friendly and helpful staff. Regularly cleaned the tables when there was a break in customers ordering. You can just tell that this is a family business. Will definitely return. read more

What a gem of a place! I'm so glad I stopped by this place on a whim. The staff is very friendly. I asked for a recommendation for what pastries to get and the person I spoke to was super nice and informative! I ended up getting a slice of the mango coconut cheesecake, and I loved it! The cheesecake was surprisingly light and smooth. The flavors of the fruit was a nice accent to the taste of the cheesecake--not too strong, like a nice delicate touch. Ahhh, it's so cute! The people working in the shop are very pleasant and the coffee is GOOD GOOD. I got the iced mocha and my husband got the Turkish Coffee. Im actually really wondering how this place has such high reviews. The coffee was not good and the customer service was not good. We waited at the front for 15 minutes before anyone came to take our order. Then when we did get our coffees they were watered down bc all the ice had melted and the coffee and flavors were just not good. 2 starts for having internet and a place to sit and work. read more

y'all need to come here RIGHT NOW. Like RIGHT NOW. They have been open for 6 months and it's super close to my apartment. So, to change it up i decided to go and see what it was all about and i was not disappointed. I has their caramel latte and it was perfectly sweet. Their pastries looked really good too I tried their eclair and it was delicious. Also got their full chocolate cake for my mom's birthday and she loved it! I stayed here for about 4 hours studying and it was so relaxing. Great music choices. The table and chairs are kind of limited so make sure you come early :) this has become my new spot to study!! read more

You guys...they MAKE THEIR OWN CHOCOLATE. What??! Yes, you heard me. I don't even know what that means but if you are a fan of the chocolates, get thee to Cure bakery post haste! We were delighted to hear that a new independent bakery had opened near us in NW Austin - so we scooted over on a Sunday morning to see what it was all about. The space is bright and cheery and welcoming with tables inside and out, and a comfy sofa and chairs. The staff was happy to see us - kind and attentive. Their menu is extensive with all sorts of coffee, tea, and CHOCOLATE drink options, both hot and cold. I tried the "sipping" chocolate and it's like drinking a melted fine Belgian chocolate bar. So rich and delicious. If you love chocolate like I love chocolate, you should stop whatever you are doing right this second and go get some sipping chocolate! You deserve it! Treat yo self! My companion had the special breve latte and loved it. He said it was "rich and creamy and excellent". We also sampled some of the baked goods - a blueberry scone and an apple turnover. Both were incredibly fresh and flavorful and not saturated with sugar. We inhaled them. It's so nice to see local businesses starting up again after the pandemic. Super cute, very clean, & extra delicious coffee shop and bakery in north Austin! My friend had a sandwich and Turkish coffee before I arrived, which she enjoyed. I ordered the mango cheesecake from prior reviews- delicious! A chocolate croissant for later (yum!), and a freshly made strawberry lemonade complete with fresh strawberry slices at the bottom. My friend had the pistachio cake, which was also delicious. The service was warm and friendly. We highly recommend this spot! read more

So in the last two weeks, I've been back exactly four times. My first introduction was the Croissant Scramble with chicken and veggies inside, with the Arnold Palmer. My friend got the Croissant Scramble with brisket. The presentation of the croissants when brought to the table blew me away. It was wrapped up in the cutest paper with the ends twisted. The topic of conversation was how good the croissants were. Before we left, we ordered some delicious cookies. The chocolate chips were yummy. So I went the following day and grabbed some pastries! One in particular was the Pecan Bar. The following week, another friend and I stopped in for the Chicken Pesto Omelet. I like that the fire-roasted bell peppers and onions are cooked, if that's the right word. But l have to tell you, the Mexican Hot Chocolate drink brings on the flavor, as does the ice-cold Mocha. Of course, we got the Pecan Bar for dessert. So yes, I went back yesterday for the Almond Croissant. I know, I know!

When I arrived, I was told the cake wasn't ready and was asked if I could come back the next morning--which obviously didn't work given the timing of the event. As a substitute, they offered me a pre-made cake from their display case and assured me it was chocolate like I originally ordered, just with a chocolate mousse filling. They refunded me $15 to account for the difference, and I felt pressured to accept since I needed something for the dinner that night. Unfortunately, the situation got worse from there. When we cut into the cake, it turned out to be confetti--not chocolate. Then, when we tried to eat it, it was clearly stale, dry, and inedible. No one touched it after the first bites. It completely missed the mark for what was supposed to be a special moment. What's especially frustrating is that I ordered from them last year for the same occasion, and everything went perfectly--that's why I trusted them again. This time, however, it was a complete letdown from start to finish. When I called the next day to request a refund, I asked to speak with a manager but was told that wasn't possible. Instead, I was told I would only be offered a partial refund because I accepted the replacement cake. I understand that mistakes happen, but the lack of accountability and quality here was really disappointing--especially for something as important as a birthday celebration.

Berry Basil Smoothie: blueberry, strawberry, basil, banana, agave, pomegranate, coconut water, lime juice (4/5). This was very delicious. Two pastries , I don't remember the name but one of them was chocolate based and other was fruit with cream cheese, super yum. They also have fig cake which is super yum and does not taste extra sugary at all. That's the just try if you can find it. Usually it comes in the thanksgiving season but since I saw that, I tried their fig cake slice as well. Overall good experience. Most of the pastry and cake slices are between 6-8 dollars.

Since I've been going on my own I've also had the lemon crinkle cookie as well as the chocolate crinkle and the double chocolate chip. All are enough to put my head in a tizzy state of intoxication from their sugary goodness. I'll have to say the double chocolate chip cookie is my favorite. That is, as I type this. They were gooey in the middle, perfectly crisp on the outside, and rich without being eye-squinting sweet. The chocolate chip cookies had welcoming textures and flavors. In addition, my server was kind and patient as I made my selection. You could taste the quality of ingredients, and each mouthful was progressively delicious. I would have loved to try other items but what I did try was top notch. Hope to make it by again for more tasty treats soon.

Highly highly recommend a visit, especially given how late they are open at night and night time soft serve is the best! The only thing I always struggle with is not getting the taiyaki with ice cream drip all over me, so I highly recommend getting a cup to flip it over into!

This one was a bit too overindulgent and sweet for my liking but was definitely worth a try. Portions are huge and can be shared as the donut is not as good warmed over. Sammie's has been hyped up on social media for a long time and I gotta say it's still underrated! The food was much better than I even anticipated - as a guy who grew up on NJ diner mozzarella sticks, I have a high bar for them and these were magnificent. And seriously...taking the "everything's bigger in Texas" slogan and applying them to mozzarella sticks?! top 10 achievements of the decade. The chicken parm was perfect - well seasoned, proper amount of crisp..the basil on top...the perfect browning of the cheese. Also the lasanga was excellent..and best part - the leftovers..took it home and the next two days put them in a small cast iron and re-heated them..and the magic was right there in my hill country kitchen!
