Hands down my favorite shop in Hermosa Beach!! This is my go to store for unique gifts. I LOVE all of the jewelry, candles, local artwork and many other unique items. I love that they include the tax in the price of the item so it kind of makes you feel like you are getting a good deal. Cute, creative, fun...this store is amazing! They have one-of-a-kind cards, furniture, signs- you name it. Everytime I walk in here I see some new quirky item that I never noticed before. I get the impression their staff loves working here, they're always upbeat & engaging. Also, they offer you beverages while you're shopping and give your dogs treats if you're walking by. Lots of great beach themed items up in this spot. You can find everything from hand made furniture to enticingly scented candles and hilarious and unique greeting cards. Prices here are somewhat elevated but I suppose that's to be expected considering the store's close proximity to the Hermosa Beach pier and the mass amount of tourists strolling by. Although Curiosity may have killed the cat it most definitely won't kill you to pay a wee bit more and support locally owned and operated Curious. read more

From the street, it has the nicest store front of all the shops on Pier Avenue. I was so pleased when I walked into the store. The store is so clean, with beautiful colors and this very cool sun painted on the back wall. The owner, Bryce, was very friendly and explained that he used to have a few stores years ago. He also told me that something that makes his shop a bit different is that sales tax is already included in all of his prices. So whatever is marked on the tag is exactly what you pay. I like that, no funny business. There are all sorts of fun things to check out from hand-made furniture, made by Bryce himself, to cool old antiques, cards (which are hilarious!), candles, books, and so much more. I will definitely be going back there soon to pick up some things for the house. I want to see if I can find something for him to build, maybe a new table. read more

This is a cute store, but I think placed in the wrong category, because it was not 'cards and stationary' oriented. They did have a small card collection in the back, but that was about it. They are more of an eclectic odds and ends store, something you just browse when you are having a leisurely day. I went inside to get change for the parking meter and couldn't leave. This store is AMAZING! The owner was super nice and all of items inside were cute, cute, cute, I purchased the most adorable tote bag and other accessories and receive so many compliments on them. I have been shopping here for years and now my home is filled with unique and hand crafted furniture and vintage found treasures. This was the cutest little shop ever. I was on vacation and stopped in and fell in love with everything there. It is a boutique on the beach so the prices are a little more than usual but definitely not completely unreasonable. I bought a precious little sign for me and my boyfriends condo for $36. The best part of coming in was the man working at the front. I could have talked to him for HOURS. He was so nice that my boyfriend and I left talking about him and how awesome he was. read more

I was looking for cards and stumbled upon this place. It is the most amazing store! I threw a few quarters in the meter, thinking I would run in, grab a card and run out. OMG! Several items caught my eye and I wandered around, talking with Bryce about the furniture. After my purchase of cards,a wind up toy for my sisters grandson and a new "old" table, I walked out of the store JUST IN TIME! The meter guy was about to give me a ticket! I must return to this store I have not been able to think about anything else...So much to see! Plan to spend some time in there if you go...You won't be disappointed! They have really cute journal books...One has pictures of all kinds of clouds and you can write on the different clouds for journaling! Another has different "walls" and it would be a great gift for a grafetti friend! They can write their grafetti in the book, instead of a real wall AND they get to keep their masterpieces!
