Cutest coffee shop in Tacoma. Expect a line out the door that will move quickly. Some quick breakfast and snack bites and a great selection of classic and seasonal coffee and tea options. Limited seating so take it to go and walk along the beautiful waterfront. 10/10 spiced chai tea latte - best one in the city.

Cute little spot to get a nice drink. The staff are all so nice and offered to modify my drink if I wanted to. I got the limelight drink which was an energy drink with coconut and lime. It was so tasty! Like a little candy treat in a drink! I would come again to try there chai as my friend loves their chai

Great cappuccino (8/10) at Curran Coffee, with very friendly, easy-to-talk-to staff. It's connected to the neighboring bar, so there's plenty of seating and a relaxed, spacious feel.

I love Curran Coffee! I'm so glad I found this coffee shop during my time in Tacoma as this place was the perfect way to start my week-long conference. Curran Coffee is a delightful coffee shop in north Tacoma, with the friendliest staff and charming location. I wanted to find a coffee spot on the way to the University of Puget Sound where my conference was from the hotel I was staying, and fortunately, Curran Coffee was there for me. After trying Curran Coffee for the first time, I ended up visiting again for my coffee and breakfast run as it ended up being better than the other Tacoma coffee spots I tried. Located in north Tacoma in the cutest neighborhood, it definitely has that local, neighborhood vibe. In fact, every time I visited Curran Coffee, the baristas recognized many of the other patrons who were clearly frequent customers and locals, and would chat with them about everything. I love these kind of businesses where the staff and community members have formed a friendship! The coffee is good with many inventive drinks and pastries from the local Three Hearts bakery in Tacoma. I ordered the Taurus drink once and ended up getting it every time I visited. It's a dirty vanilla chai with chocolate and macadamia, which is one of my favorite combinations. Also for breakfast, one of their only savory pastries they offer here is a ham and swiss croissant from Three Hearts. And I'm not a ham fan, but this was one of the best croissants I've had! It was a great breakfast that I ordered each time I visited Curran. If I lived in the area, this would definitely be my go-to coffee shop. But it was awesome to have found this during my week in Tacoma, for some much-needed coffee and a pastry to start the day. Thank you, Curran!

Delicious and great staff. Customer service is really amazing, Audrey was nice enough to make my dogs some pup cups alongside my human order. I love their unique drinks (classic ones are delish too) and the pastries are great. Inside can be pretty warm on hot days but the outdoor seating is always an option.

Great coffee and food! Not a ton of sitting but a great place to pick up a coffee and take a walk! The savory pinwheel was also great!

Good options, lots of drink varieties. Friendly and helpful service. Drinks were solid, tons of interior and exterior seating. Plenty of parking.

    Iced tea

My iced tea was very good! Love that they have different options for iced tea as well. The cashier was nice and the ambiance is quite nice. There are not too many outlets however so had to wait for one to open up. Overall very cute and definitely would recommend.

I always appreciate when a coffee shop serves drinks in real glasses/mugs, which they do here. The service was fast and the employee I spoke to was very nice. My only complaints are the parking lot and that, like most coffee places, it's a little expensive. The parking lot is truly miserable to park in. Super tight and precarious, and my car is a pretty averaged size SUV. You're better off street parking on the busy road it's on and walking. There's seating inside, but not tons. Limited options on a Friday morning that I went. Other than these (admittedly small) complaints, this is a nice coffee shop and I'd definitely stop by again next time I'm in the area. Always nice to support a local place over the big chains.
