We was passing thru Maryland on our way to D.C. and the pit stop was Maryland's House Travel Center. I really like it up this way of the globe because their Travel Stops all have many options to eat and clean restrooms for the public AND plenty of motorcoach parking. I went inside and never heard of Curritos , it's healthy eating and a new taste for my palette. I ordered a bowl and it sure didn't disappoint. Also, I noticed they didn't pinch out portions and would ask "Is this ok?" They are a cousin to Chipotle's I wanted to try the quesadilla but ugg decisions :)) I further enjoyed the stop because Curritos offered a complementary meal for the bus driver without expecting the generous offer. I never dine at a restaurant expecting to receive a discount as a Tour Driver but it sure helps after the pressure of driving all day and the service is fast. Friendly and curious staff. Stop by and enjoy!

Great for a rest stop! No lines and friendly employees. A bit overpriced, but not as bad as the surrounding restaurants.

Horrible food that gives diarrhea. Service is good but ambiance is bad. Bad rating for bad restaurant

Rice bowl - nothing wrong with it at all.

    1) Don't expect 5 star service during rush hours at a highway rest area. I, however, have had no problems here. Never more than 3-5 people in front of me and it moves fast with 2 employees. 2) Don't expect dollar menu discounts at the highway rest area. My rice bowl and soda was $13.12 with tax. Perfectly reasonable for the location. 3) Food is decent every time I have had it. Hot salsa, corn, and cheese on top of anything is very flavorful. Quality of meat has always been good. As good as Chipotle? Not quite but nothing to really complain about. 4) I have never had an issue with service. I get exactly the service you'd expect from a quick service joint at a highway rest area. Overall, I'm actually impressed given the location. I had much lower expectations for the food based on location and reviews.

Decent size meal- but looks boring.

For what it's supposed to be- it does a decent job. Everything is overpriced at rest stops, so while I'm not happy about paying $9 for a burrito bowl, all the meals here will be around that range. The food looked pretty fresh, and I was pleased with the overall quality of the food. However, the food is on the bland side- the chicken and rice has no flavor or seasoning. In addition, the employees looked like they didn't want to be working there, and it was very hard to hear them and communicate with them. Though its the only "healthy" option at this stop, I won't be coming here and paying a hefty price for a boring meal and poor service.

Pricey Organic tofu burrito bowl. Let's see how it tastes.

Currito is similar to chipotle and qdoba. The ingredients are fresh. I got the organic tofu burrito bowl with brown rice and mango. I was pretty happy with how it tasted. I wanted guacamole but it was an extra $2 for it. Which is pretty steep for an addon. The prices were higher than most places like this but it was in a rest stop food court so it was expected. I recommend this Currito If you wanted a healthier option on your road trip.

The restaurant was not busy so I'm not sure why they didn't process it until I showed up to ask about it. Once I was there and spoke to someone they processed the order and I had to wait about 10 minutes for it to be put together. My order looks like it was thrown together quickly and the sauce for the enchilada is all inside the bag and handles. This place was just a quick stop in for what I expected to be sub-par or average at best "hometown"…read morestyle Mexican American food on my UHaul drive back to Nashville, TN where we have maybe two really consistent Mexican American/homestyle Mexican food spots. The salsa was the first thing tipping me off that we'd stumbled upon was likely a local gem. It's not so thick that I think it's a tomato paste concoction. Tastes like real home made from scratch salsa. Not too much but a very nice kick to it. Peppery, oniony, refreshing punch of lime. The queso hit everything I wanted and wasn't just plain cheese nor was it gritty or plastic-y. Tasted exactly like I expected! Smoky peppers did a lot for flavor here. I was sad not finding my regular burrito from this kinda of establishment. A simple beef burrito smothered in a red sauce of some variety with rice and beans. I asked the server if there was a smothered burrito and he informed me that the combo deal was what I was looking for. In which I got two burritos, rice and beans. The red sauce that my two burritos came smothered in was rich, tangy, oniony and was still nicely acidic from the tomato. You can really tell they taste their food. Burrito Loco that my accomplice ate was also really good. Maybe a little more salt on the veg but that's coming from someone notorious for over salting fries at work. I love salty food, so that's just a personal taste thing. The service was amazing. It all came together when I went into the bathroom, though. It was so clean that it snapped the whole picture together of why this place is so surprisingly good. It's staff genuinely cares about their place of work. Kitchen and front of house alike, everything here was impeccable. You can tell there are people here invested in their workplace. Highly recommend stopping in or frequenting if possible. They had a fun looking drink menu, I just forgot to order my agua fresca Jamaica, so I'm sorry to say I can't report on that.

So I opted not to go because I wanted to experience their atmosphere, customer service and food on a normal day of operation. Fast forward to the evening after Cinco de Mayo. I came in and I was kindly greeted, and since I was flying solo I went to the bartender was quick to greet me, got my chips and salsa to me (which is on the house), and took my drink order. The music was very festive on the inside, the wraparound bar is a nice touch, and the atmosphere overall definitely sets a vibe. I ordered some queso dip cause, why not and it paired nicely with the salsa. I then proceeded to order the Quesabirria Taco dish that was phenomenal and I HIGHLY recommend. The birria consommé that comes with it, it so good so dip those tacos like your tastebuds depend on it. To say the least I am glad I went there the day after Cinco de Mayo and while I'm sure it was a vibe itself, I don't think I would have quite gotten the service and experience I did when they are operating on a normal day. All good things in moderation I guess‍.

Our waitress was friendly and quick enough, but it did seem to take awhile for our food to come out once ordered and a while for the check when we were done.. (They were busy not packed). It is nice they serve a breakfast/brunch menu - not a lot of Mexican places do that. I ordered the Pollo con Rajas. The onion cream sauce was fantastic, black beans great, rice (arroz blanco) okay- it had great flavor and I don't mind a little crunch, but there's a fine line between crunch and dried out, and this was getting close. My husband said he couldn't complain about his Enchiladas Verde, but he didn't have any glowing response either. Overall, the food isn't bad, it's that it's a bit overpriced for what you get. Free chips and salsa (it is $5, and the chips are fried leftover flour tortillas that either puff and crumble to bits, or burn), or even throwing in a few flour tortillas with a meal with about 5oz of chicken if I'm being generous, would round out the meal, and make you feel you got more of your moneys worth overall. That said, I didn't leave hungry.
