Pretty good airport burrito! Everything looked fresh, and the ladies working there were helpful and nice. I got chicken, wild rice, sweet potatoes, hummus, chickpeas, pickled onions, cheese, guacamole, and sour cream on the side. They sell fountain and bottled drinks, yogurt, chips and other snacks. The line can get long. There's only 1 person making the selections. You can only stand and eat here. My only complaint was that the burrito was a little dry at first. It definitely needed some hot sauce or sauce inside. But BABY!!! those sweet potatoes! I have NEVER had sweet potatoes in a burrito, and they were the star of the whole thing!!! They kept dancing on my palate! I might come back and order a sweet potato burrito next time. Guacamole is about $3.50 extra, but you can add several other toppings without extra charges. Stopped by for lunch before an afternoon flight. Figured this was going to be "discount Chipotle" if you can imagine getting more discount than Chipotle. Honestly, quality is pretty good. This is the rare case where the portion size actually matches the price in the genre of airport food. Taste wise is also solid. Expect about what you'd find in a Chipotle, except be surprised that you found it in an airport terminal. Staff were helpful and the only knock is that they ran out of carnitas during peak lunch time. Not sure how that happened, but would love some improvement in proper stocking at peak meal times. That being said, about any time of day is peak meal time at an airport, so it's understandable and doesn't bring down the overall impression of the place. read more

I wish the FAA passed a regulation that there had to be a Currito in every single Airport Terminal in the United States because it's the best tasting, best meal, and only healthy place to eat at an airport. If you are not familiar with Currito--you better get familiar with it!, and it's a good reason alone to fly out of PHI--don't bother bringing any food to the airport. They will load you up with great chicken and veggies and grains--you will feel so good after your flight. When we came here to grab lunch prior to our departing flight out of PHL, I'll be honest and say that I had never, everrrr heard of Currito, even though it was a fairly widespread chain in the eastern part of the U.S. To summarize, it seemed like a restaurant cut out of the Chipotle cloth, but with a mix of globally-inspired ingredients. My wife and I ended up ordering 2 Build Your Own Bowls. I ordered mine with half cilantro rice, half couscous with chicken, curry, chickpeas, mango, cheese, pico de gallo and hummus. The bowl was pretty good - different because of the ingredients I chose, but solid. I can't say that the ingredients tasted super fresh, but it wasn't bad. I will say that the workers at this location weren't exactly the friendliest or most enthusiastic, but it's the airport at the end of the day. read more

The service here made me extremely uncomfortable. I started off my order saying something like "so I need two things - a burrito and a bowl." Then I gave my order. The girl charged me about $65. I stepped to the side and started looking at my receipt due to the price . She charged for two burritos. I looked up quickly and saw them pull out two wraps and immediately tried to stop them. I began to explain that I only wanted one. The girl at the register began arguing that I had ordered two. There appeared to be a bit of a language gap, and as someone with family with accented English, I understand there could have been confusion in my phrasing and that mistakes happen. Her attitude from the start, however, was unfriendly. I know that I could have phrased my order better when asking for two items - however - if she thought I ordered two of the same burritos, then why did she charge me for two different burritos? I was charged for one burrito "classic style" and then a second with a $3 up charge to create my own. No idea where she got a customization for a second order from. At this point the girl grabs her manager to refund my money. The manager then worked to fix it and refunded my money. He was doing his best, but unfortunately the rest of the staff is why I'm leaving this review. We walk away to go eat the now $45 worth of food. I sit down and look at my bowl and look at the receipt. I ordered "no raisins," and sitting right on top of the bowl are raisins. It's now been 15 mins of back and forth and I no longer want to spend any more time at the restaurant. I go back by myself and ask them to please just take the bowl back and refund me. The manager- again trying his best- starts taking care of it. Two fully grown adult males then both come over around the manager and start asking what the problem is. One of them who made it now starts asking what was wrong with it. So I show him the receipt and the bowl. He offers to remake it, but at this point I'm just getting something elsewhere. The third male turns around - who didn't take my order, or make my food - and starts arguing with me over why I don't want them to remake it. So now it's 3 grown men in front of me, 2 of whom are arguing with me while the manager refunds me. It was extremely intimidating as a woman. read more

I stopped in here during a trip through Philadelphia International Airport when I had enough time between flights. I enjoy Currito in general as I find it's a very tasty, healthier option for a meal while traveling. This location was no exception. It is located near terminal A in a small food court with a bagel/breakfast place. Many tables are available for your dining needs, or get your meal to go. The dining area seemed clean and well attended to. The bowl I chose was the Bangkok, which I ordered with tofu. It was made quickly from the fresh and tasty looking ingredients laid out Chipotle style. I added some hot sauces and within 5 minutes or less of my order I was on my way. One thing I really appreciated is that I was here during typical breakfast hours but I was able to get lunch options. I'm not much of a breakfast food fan in general so the option to get lunch was great. The bowl itself was tasty, fresh and filling. The service was friendly and quick. I was torn with deciding # of stars. The employees and food are 5 stars. The cashier carefully registered my order and the server asked about dressing and rice noodles. They were pleasant too which is not a given at an airport fast food joint. The smoothie was made fresh and promptly. Food is respectable for airport food. I wish all airport food met this standard. However management receives 0 stars for false advertising and hidden fees. I despise hidden fees. I value transparency. Management advertises food prices on a display board which is responsible but then there is a hidden 3% charge that only appears after the transaction is processed. After getting raked for the 3% fee I looked on the display board and did not see disclosure about the fee. (If it's there it's not easy to see). The practice of slipping in hidden fees is despicable. There is no place for this type of deception. (I do not want to hear any responses about how the employees deserve benefits. I do not disagree but then management should increase advertised prices by 3%, not secretly add 3%). Jamba had a big line and I was attracted to Currito by the smoothies and green signs. The folks who worked on the food line were great, the cashier however was grumpy. Sadly the food was a disaster. I got the Supergreen smoothie which was mostly ice and undrinkable through a straw. I opened it up and tried eating it instead of drinking it. I really tried because I was hungry and it was too big of an ordeal and I ended up junking it with 80% of it left. With that frustration, I blanked and left the salad that I ordered behind. My first time coming across this area only because my flight was near by. This place is in the PHL airport in terminal A. A little overpriced but it's really fresh ingredients. It's located next to a pizza place and has a ton of seating area. Pretty quiet area close to restrooms. They have a preset menu or you can build your own. Here we go again with the airport food reviews. If you near terminal A and try to stay closer to the A2 to A10 gates in Philadelphia. The food reminds you of a decent Mexican fusion place. We ordered a Chicken Tikka bowl and a chicken quesadilla. Quesadilla's wrapping was toasted a bit too much for our liking. But the filling was good. It could use some more spread but overall it was fresh. 3.5/5 Chicken tikka grains bowl was recommended by other yelpers. Now that cucumber and veggies were fresh. Super surprised at the quality. The chicken meat was a bit dry for our liking. Now the Mrs. didn't like the chickpea topping. Located in Terminal A-East in PHL, this was one of the few options I saw walking towards my gate. My flight was right around dinner time so I knew I wanted something to eat on the plane which meant it had to hold up well, easy to eat in a small area, and also something I could throw in my bag that wouldn't spill. What appealed to me about this place was the ingredients and how it looked like a complete meal (grains, vegetables, protein, etc). I decided to order the summer wrap (you can either choose wrapped or bowl) with steak. They prepped my order really quickly though I will say there was no option to not tip on their credit card machine (or at least adjust the tip). Not sure if that was a glitch but felt weird. Ate my summer wrap (which is basically a burrito) on the plane about 2 hours later and I liked that there wasn't too much liquid in the wrap so there was no soggy issues. And it was definitely a filling but not overwhelming meal. I will say the only thing I was missing was probably more mango salsa but that's about it. If you're flying out of Terminal A-East, I recommend this place for some eats. read more

Shame to see a recent review from a Yelp Elite that there is no airport employee discount - if there are comparable restaurants in the airport that do provide a discount, then it would be nice if Currito could do the same. My review is based on my own experience which was not bad. They have options here to build your own burrito, and you can really get a lot of fresh ingredients packed into the burrito - the value felt pretty good for an airport meal because I ended up getting quite a bit of fresh vegetables, quinoa, salsa, etc. on top of the usual burrito ingredients. I didn't even take a picture of this because I had low expectations for airport food but man...this place is fire! I was only looking for a snack so I went for the classic bowl with steak. I was pretty impressed with the portion but for $17 obviously still pretty overpriced. Welcome to the airport I guess. This was honestly one of the best bowls I've had in a while and honestly better than Chipotle if you ask me. It was really great to find this place open at 5am. Even better that they have healthy options! I had a smoothie, and added kale (mango was in it, called vita something). There was a language barrier with the person taking my order, which is frustrating. She overcharged me, but I let it go because it was .25 and my card had already gone through. Maybe put someone else on the register. My smoothie also had three very large, almost whole chunks of frozen strawberries at the bottom. Otherwise, it was nice to have a good breakfast place available. The smoothie cost me $12+ after tax. Can't wait to have my own blender at home tomorrow! read more

Flight attendant here... Don't get me wrong, Currito Burrito is tasty and relatively healthy for airport dining. Unfortunately, my experience at the location in Terminal A East was absolutely awful. The old woman serving me couldn't comprehend a word I was saying, then proceeded to give me attitude. Given that I am a flight attendant, I speak CLEARLY and loudly when necessary (it's part of the job description). Usually, airport employees are extremely kind to crew members in uniform and go out of their way for us. Not here. In addition to being rude, I received what seems to be half a handful of romaine lettuce. I can usually make 2 meals out of my salad at other Currito locations. Hot tip: There's another Currito in Terminal E where they are actually nice and give you a generous amount of food. I felt it was worth every penny at Terminal E. I'm giving this 4 stars because it's one of the better eating experiences I've had at PHL. I was looking for a somewhat healthy meal before leaving to travel abroad for a couple weeks, but at the same time I didn't want a sad, boring salad. I ended up at Currito and got the Spicy Thai salad with steak. The ingredients, which looked fresh and colorful on the toppings bar, seemed equally as fresh when eating them. Overall the salad had a tasty mix of different flavors and textures. It did have a hint of spice but I'd call it mild rather than "spicy" per its name. I had been tempted by the Tikka bowl which sounded delicious, but as mentioned I was looking for something a little lighter before my flight. Something else that stood out here was the very pleasant service experience. I feel like I'm always in a bad mood at this airport because so many people I interact with are gruff. Everyone here was really nice. The two women working on the salads seemed a little confused about what went into them (they may have been new) and made a few mistakes mixing them up, but nothing that couldn't be corrected. I didn't mind at all that they were figuring things out, but a man who I assume is the manager came over and gently guided them through the rest of the process. Even if he was frustrated he didn't let it show, and I appreciated the way he handled the situation. I was happy it didn't end in any inappropriate reprimanding in front of customers. Be aware that even though the toppings are all laid out before you, Currito differs from Chipotle in that if you order one of their salads or burritos, they make it according to how you order it at the register. If you don't ask for any changes, they won't make any - the person making your meal won't ask you what toppings you want. They will follow the order slip. I didn't mind the price for being in an airport. It was a good portion size for one, and they didn't skimp on the steak. The smoothies looked good although a little expensive. Would come here again next time I'm flying out of PHL if I was in the mood for a salad or burrito bowl. read more
