I really wanted to give them a high rating but they just had some things I couldn't overlook. We ordered the food for delivery and everything was fresh and still warm/hot. My big complaint has got to be the horchata. It tasted like it was spiked with alcohol, pretty sure tequila. I'm not saying it was, but I was nauseous after the fact considering I'm 2 years sober from alcohol. A few sips and I couldn't drink anymore cause I couldn't shake that taste. I wasn't a fan of the kimchi fries, the flavors just weren't blending well for me. The dry rub wings were wings, it was a little airy from the skin to the meat but nothing to complain about really. The birria tacos were an absolute hit though, I would get these again. They were full, didn't have fat pieces, and had good flavor. Somewhat of a sweet flavor at that, not sure if it was the tortilla or the meat and seasonings themselves but keep it up. Opening the tacos fully and putting that green sauce deep in the middle while dipping into the consommé was flavor town.

The food was so good! We ordered a Meal for 2 Sampler (4 beef birria tacos, 2 consome, 6 spicy gochujang wings, and kimchi cheese fries) and an order of al pastor tacos with cucumber kimchi slaw + cilantro. This was a generous amount for 3 people. I think it was a good price value (sampler was $35 +2 to sub fries; tacos was $11.25 +3 to sub al pastor). I think the Meal for 4 Sampler would be a bargain in the future since the portion sizes were large. Wings were bigger and tacos were much fuller. We loved the birria with consome! *It's a corner shop, so there isn't seating at all. It's takeout only. **Staff is super nice and helpful since you're customizing every part of the order. We'll be back!

I've been wanting to try this place for the longest time, so I was so excited to see they were at the Chinatown night market. I got lucky and was able to get there early so the wait wasn't too bad (10-15min) but I know later in the night the line was ridiculously long which made people not want to go. I got the gochujang pork tacos which were pretty expensive $15 for three but I think it's worth it. They were really stuffed and the flavors were amazing. Pork was tender, a little sweet and spicy. I'm willing to pay a bit more since it's a unique fusion. Since it was a food truck it was kind of hard to eat while standing and it was messy since the tacos were juicy and saucy. Not the establishment's fault but there should been at least tables to place the food. That kind of ruined the dining experience but I would definitely come back to their permanent establishment.

Different Cheesesteak #1177. I got the Bulgogi Salsa Macha cheesesteak. I had high hopes for this cheesesteak. If you follow me you know how that usually goes. Not well. I liked the individual parts. Very good roll. The meat had some moisture and flavor. The sauce in the little tub had a just enough kick. I don't like my cheesesteak in layers (i like everything mixed together) and the cheese was not melted. I did like eating it in front of Keith Haring Garden.

Awesome taste! Everything fits together; it has the right amount of sauce, slaw, and chicken. I do wished they used a different buns for the burger bc brioche gets soggy easily. Service was fast and price is reasonable. Def be back for their tacos!

FOOD I visited Korea Taqueria's truck at South Street Fest and ordered the bulgogi tacos. It came with 2 tacos for $11, which is pricey for the amount you get. Although I found it rich in flavor and well-balanced between meat and veggies, I will say that the tacos as a whole were a little to salty for my taste, to the point that I was unable to finish them. Nevertheless, if they're ever in the area again, I would definitely visit to try other items on their menu, especially their Korean bulgogi birria tacos (didn't see them on their menu this time around). DRINKS They have assorted beverages from bottled water, sodas, and agua frescas. SERVICE Service was quick and easy, and I received my order within 5-10 minutes of ordering. The staff were friendly and kept the lines going when they were long.

Been following one of the owners since his food truck days and I always loved the Korean fusion from Paper Mill Foods spurrito truck so it's great to see a brick and mortar with another fun fusion! They are takeout only and they just opened so wait times may be long! My sister ordered the day before just to be sure they didn't sell out and she got there and waited another half hour for the food after her pickup time. Definitely order ahead! They have all sorts of specials for different days too. Now let's taco bout the food: For 3 people we ordered a bulgogi cheesesteak, bulgogi birria tacos, gochujang wings, pork gochujang quesadilla, and kimchi cheese fries. We all loved the tacos and wings and all the sauces! Even in subzero temperatures and with her having to look for parking for a while the birria tacos and wings were still perfectly crunchy and warm! The side garnish salads and wings definitely have a Korean feel but I think the meat in the tacos and cheesesteak and dipping broth could have been even more Korean flavored. The kimchi fries and cheesesteak came with whiz, would love to see a mozz option. We had leftovers and they reheated great! Definitely recommend ordering from here and don't skip the sauces!

Gun to my head what am I picking: Birria tacos OR the Bulgogi beef cheesesteak Answer: Cheesesteak The cheesesteak is simply the beef on a roll covered in wiz. It's a simplistic formula but the marinade and flavor of the tender shredded beef stands all on its own! It reminds me of the formula of chaps pit beef in Maryland. Let the meat do the talking. The Birria tacos come with about 4oz of consume and a 2oz cup of green sauce. The tacos are hearty and register a steep for $15 for three. This is not on par with regular tacos but is on par with prices of Birria dishes. The tacos are double wrapped corn tortilla with cilantro and onions. Once again th at tender beef inside. Finally the nachos chips themselves were nothing to write home about it. They were generic, a step above grocery store tortilla chips pack in the cardboard container another with cheese, sour cream tomatoes and others pictures. I was on the fence about the nachos but they were a Sunday shareable dish. I'd been seeking out Korea Taqueria for a bit given their social media and the buzz around them. Their truck parked in my neighborhood for an event gave me the opportunity. For $15 the cheesesteak was a bit pricy. The tacos were on par with other places so I'm not really drawn back there but the food was tasty so I'll give the truck 5 stars.

I've always wanted to try their food truck but was never able to get to it. Korea Taqueria is now a hidden gem tucked away in Gray's ferry (Wish it was closer to Fishtown). While they only offer takeout service, their culinary creations are nothing short of extraordinary. I recently ordered their Spicy Pork Tacos and Kimchi Fries, and I was blown away by the flavors and portion sizes. The Spicy Pork Tacos were a true delight. Each taco was generously filled with tender, marinated pork that packed a flavorful punch. The fusion of Korean spices and Mexican flair was well balanced, creating a taste sensation that left me craving more. The korean cucumber added in was a great idea. The kimchi fries were also amazing but since I didn't eat it fast, it did get a but soggy. Just heads up. But I could tell it'd been even better if it was fresh. Korea Taqueria deserves every bit of praise it receives. Their Spicy Pork Tacos and Kimchi Fries are not only visually appealing but also incredibly satisfying in terms of taste and portion size. The skillful fusion of Korean and Mexican flavors are much welcomed in Philly. It's such a great combo. Combined with the welcoming ambiance and friendly staff, Korea Taqueria is a must-visit!

So it's really 3.5 stars and I cross my heart as well as taste buds; I was hoping to give them a 5/5. Maybe it was the stuff we ordered. But read on. I placed the order in advance for fear of items being sold out. That was a seamless process. I even got a text confirming my pick up. It's located in what used to a Chinese take out place, and there was a lot of foot traffic for picking up orders (kudos to them). We ordered: fried chicken wings in 2 styles, the spicy and soy garlic. I absolutely loved the spicy gochujang wings which came with a side of their chilli oil and both of these were 10/10. The soy garlic fried chicken tasted good, but didn't sit well as a take out item, simply because they got soggy by the time we got home and reheating didn't help. Still a 7/10 I was super excited about Korean bulgogi cheesesteak and so was my SO but we were disappointed and maybe it's just us, but it was more like pulled/shredded beef. Almost too much beef, the cheese was just on top. It was a 2/10 for us. The Birria Tacos also had the bulgogi beef, it was alright. I like it better than the cheesesteak. I was really hoping to like the last item- the Signature burrito with grilled gochujang chicken. The chicken didn't really taste like it had any gochujang flavor and felt a little undercooked. 1/10 I know it's a fusion place, but I definitely like the Korean items better. I will definitely be heading back to this place to try their fried chicken sandwiches which I am sure will be 10/10. It should be on everyone's must try list.

Korea Taqueria was really good and the concept is wonderful-- Mexican-Korean fusion! We had the bulgogi cheesesteak, kimchi nachos with pork, and spicy chicken tacos. I will say the bulgogi cheesesteak was delicious, but I was looking forward to bulgogi pieces and it is actually shredded bulgogi. Nothing wrong with that, but I wish that were clarified on the menu. We enjoyed the kimchi nachos, and there was a generous portion of meat (which we paid extra for) but I also wish there were actual pieces of kimchi. The spicy chicken tacos unfortunately is mostly the reason this place doesn't get 5 stars from me, because the chicken lacked flavor and was a bit dry. Overall, I highly recommend this spot and I highly recommend the bulgogi cheesesteak and nachos. I've heard great things about the fried chicken and chicken sandwich so those will be next to try!

I'm sorry I didn't take photos of the tacos, but trust me me I get no pleasure from leaving a bad review for this place; I am not lying or exaggerating. I thought they were going to be one of our local gems. I choked down a half a taco, gave the rest to my husband and he couldn't eat them either. The churros actually had raw batter in the middle and the outside was rubbery and hard at the same time. You could barely bite through it. I'm a cook and I know that that is about keeping the oil at an even temperature to get the inside done and not overcook the outside. Someone in the kitchen did not know what they were doing. The thing is, I have had their food before and it was pretty good. I don't know if there is a new chef or what happened, but I can't trust them after this experience.

Seating and service here is friendly and prompt. Even when it's pretty loud and seems packed, there are always a handful of open tables available, where we've usually been able to be seated almost immediately. Such was the case this evening. We were on a bit of a time crunch so we ordered immediately and our food came out so fast that the waiter for our table was surprised as the food beat him with our napkins to the table. We ordered the Tuna Tostada and the Yucatan Spiced Chicken Fajitas. Both were amazing! Good thing for our tight timeline, the food was gone as fast as it came.
