I must say, I'm a little disappointed in myself. I thought I had reviewed Curry & Grill 2 several months ago, and now that I've realized that's not the case, I feel responsible for not sufficiently spreading the word about this tasty place. I have an unabashed love for Indian food and when I realized Curry & Grill 2 had opened in the neighborhood and was offering a lunch buffet, I had to check it out. Truthfully, while I had some prior favorites, finding a more local location for Indian is always a win, and I relish the opportunity to try numerous things, which only a buffet can afford...affordably. The buffet lunch here may very well be the best lunch deal in town. For ~$12.99 you can get yourself some pakoras, naan, samosas, a couple of styles of rice, a few veggie curries, and a few meat options, (for example, chicken tikka, lamb curry, and chicken makhni/tikka masala), as well as some kheer for dessert. Honestly, the first time I went the taste of everything was such sheer perfection that I raved to numerous people. So much depth in the spices, and layered flavors. Perhaps the best saag paneer I had ever had. I was told by my friendly server that the buffet was offered on the weekends as well, and that they planned to rotate the dishes regularly. I've since ordered delivery from Curry & Grill 2, and gotten the buffet a few more times as well (it's a great stop post-hike, or a quick lunch on a work from home day). I appreciate the extra vegetarian dishes they offer; the sweet potato masala is a favorite, and they also put paneer in their veggie biryani which is excellent. I will say that the flavors of the lunch buffet have not always lived up to the enthusiasm of my first visit, but I think that may be a function of streamlining for the crowd size, and it's still quite enjoyable all things considered. I was also excited to see recently that they added family-style vegetarian and meat package meals to their carryout/delivery menu, which I can't wait to take advantage of. The restaurant also has a great outdoor space to gather in during nice weather. I will say that this stretch of 17th avenue isn't always known for being kind to businesses. So if you live in the area and love having diverse food options (read: more than just tacos/burritos) swing by Curry & Grill 2 and give them a shot.

This really cute Indian/Nepali restaurant opened on 17th Street. I saw the sign for a lunch buffet as I was driving past, and I am for sure a sucker for a $9.99 Indian buffet. This placed opened a month ago and the staff are super friendly and attentive. The place is immaculately clean and they were putting up decorations while we were there. I went for the buffet and my favorites were the Chicken Tikka Masala, Gobi Manchurian and Samosas. The samosas were paired with a tamarind and green chutney that were both well made. The Gobi Manchurian is a somewhat fusion dish. As it was on a buffet heated by steam it was not as crunchy as it should be ideally but the flavor profile was on point. The Chicken Tikka Masala was the perfect blend of heavy cream, chicken, tomatoes and spices. I would for sure order this off the menu during non-buffet hours. Some of the other buffet items were Naan (made well but not the ideal texture in the buffet format), Chicken Kadai, Saffron and plain rice, chickpeas and spinach with paneer. They seem to have a lot of drink specials and great outdoor seating so I imagine this restaurant will be a destination during the summer. It pretty cool in that they have an area of the patio dedicated to dog friendly seating.

First time at this Indian/Nepali restaurant. They have an extensive menu full of amazing dishes. When you order, you are asked what spice level you prefer so dishes can be tailored to all sorts of tastes. Service is friendly but a little slow. I'm sure this is due to the care taken to cook each dish as the sauces are full of flavor. Colorful lights adorn the ceiling to add to the experience. We started with the Gobi Manchurian - cauliflower fried and sautéed in a garlic soy chili sauce. A plentiful portion for 4. I opted for the Madras medium spice with chicken. It had just the right amount of spice and was served with rice. They also have baked-to-order naan which is a must! Bonus, if you are in the area and have a late night craving for Indian/Nepali food, the are open until 2am Wednesday-Sunday, 11:45pm Mondays and Tuesdays.

One of the best Indian restaurants I've ever been to! Service was very friendly and fast and the food was to die for. Everything was exceptional. Place would be perfect for a date night or an outing with friends! Would definitely go back if I'm in the area.

Beautiful location with exposed brick. Authentic as it gets. The lunch Thali is like having a buffet at your table, and it was all very good. Great rice, and amazing flavors. Goat Curry which is so hard to find and it was delicious, reminded me of home. Goat is unique, it's fatty and bone in pieces that you eat the meat off of, so only get if you want an adventure. Everything was delicious.

The Thali caught my eye as it's essentially a traditional platter with a variety of balanced small plates from rice to potatoes to dal soup and even dessert all on a single tray. I got it with Butter Chicken which was so good! Highly recommend as it was creamy, medium spicy, and very aromatic. I absolutely loved the street-style chaat! It's creamy, crunchy, cold, and loaded with flavors and textures. Such a satisfying bite and I almost couldn't stop until it was gone. I love that this Thali came with both rice & naan as I usually want both and can't decide lol! The rice was fluffy and aromatic from the cumin while the garlic naan was fresh, soft, and delicately brushed with garlic & parsley. I didn't care for the dal soup (bit too watery) or the jeera potatoes (bit undercooked) but the dessert was a nice way to end the meal. Their options included rice pudding and gulab jamun; I went with the "healthier" option lol. It was creamy, sweet, and cooled down my palate after the various dishes. The Lamb Biryani was another good try! The lamb chunks were tender and seasoned, the rice was aromatic, and it paired well with the onions and raita (yogurt sauce). This definitely satisfied my craving and I'm glad I stopped by before the long day I had ahead!

This was one of the best chais I have had in my life. So so good.

Since my adult daughter and I were going to be there for a little celebration I made the reservation through the restaurant's website requesting to be seated at a 4-person table. Unfortunately upon arrival the restaurant not only did not even check to see if they had us on the reservation list they also didn't allow us to sit at a 4-person table. The restaurant wasn't busy at all on a Monday night so they simply treated us like a "walk-in" guest. Mmm...what's the purpose of the reservation link on their website if they don't value it?? They took us to one of the smaller two-person tables. After sitting there for 5 minutes or so perusing the menu, we kindly asked one of the workers if we could move to the bar seating that overlooks the busy Broadway. This was the game changer. The elevated seats and the tabletop made the ambience feel more like a special occasion. Thank goodness...this was the only bummer part of our dinner. The rest, fortunately, went quite well! Food: It looks like another Indian/Nepali restaurant at first but in my personal experience, this one ranks the best or top tier for their authenticity. The below is directly copied/pasted from the electronic recipe of ours: -PANI-PURI (Vegan/DF) $8.00 -Ice Tea $3.00 -Masala Chai $4.00 -COCONUT CURRY WHITE FISH. (DF/GF)$20.00 (Medium heat) -KHATTI MITTHI BHINDI (VEGAN/ GF) $15.00 (Medium heat) -WHOLE WHEAT BREAD $3.00 Pani-puri came out after our two main dishes although Pana-Puri is more of an appetizer (lol). Tho two main dishes were cooked in a medium heat and yet they were extremely doable even for someone like me who is not much of a "heat" person. My daughter is not a big fan of naan bread so as she is way more versed in the very cuisine (she had just come back from India spending a month to be trained to be a yoga instructor with a certification) she suggested we get the thin wheat bread. This bread went efficiently well with our two mains. Both iced teas were a great accompaniment to our whole meal. And again, how authentic everything tasted and how meticulously everything was cooked and prepared, it was something we couldn't ask for better quality. A bit of a disappointment with the whole reservation situation and yet the quality of the food broke even at the end. Service was good to decent although it wasn't exceptional but our basic needs were met.

Gaia Masala & Burger: Where Smash Burgers Meet Curry House Comfort…read more Gaia Masala & Burger has built an intriguing niche by blending Indian comfort food with American fast-casual favorites. With locations stretching from San Francisco to Kansas City and New York City, plus four outposts across Northern Colorado, the concept has clearly found an audience eager for culinary crossovers. Our visit took us to the Denver location at 6th Avenue and Grant Street, tucked into a modest strip mall parking lot shared with a Wendy's--a decidedly unassuming setting for a menu that promises far more adventure than its surroundings suggest. The dining experience begins with a bit of uncertainty. Upon entering, it's not immediately clear whether guests should seat themselves or order first. A small "Order Here" sign pointed us toward the register, but we were escorted to a table by a server who proceeded to take the order there. It wasn't a major issue, but it set the tone for a service experience that felt a little disjointed throughout the meal. Fortunately, the menu quickly shifted our attention. Gaia's offerings are expansive, ranging from traditional Indian dishes to playful fusion creations. To get a broad sense of what they do, we ordered a signature item, something entirely new to us, and a classic Indian entrée. The signature choice was the Beef Tikka Masala Burger, a creation that perfectly captures the restaurant's concept--recently featured in Denver Post's "5 of the most underrated burgers in Denver." Built in the style of a juicy smash burger, it arrived topped with marinated cucumbers and a creamy masala sauce. Guests choose both the burger's temperature and spice level; we opted for well-done and mild. Despite the well-done preparation, the burger remained impressively juicy and flavorful. The masala brought warmth and depth without overwhelming the beef. Next time, I'd probably venture up to the "Mild Plus" spice level for a little extra kick. Our adventurous selection was the Dry Chili Paneer, an appetizer that immediately became one of the highlights of the meal. Despite its name, there was nothing remotely dry about it. Large cubes of paneer were sautéed in a savory soy-based sauce packed with fresh chilies and vibrant flavor. Spice levels range from one to six, and even at level one, a few bites carried a surprising spark of heat. The balance of richness, saltiness, and spice made this dish both addictive and memorable. For our traditional entrée, we chose the Chicken Korma. Served alongside rice, the korma leaned slightly more turmeric-forward than many versions I've encountered, but the flavor was warm, comforting, and well-rounded. Generous pieces of chicken and chunks of cashew throughout the sauce added both substance and texture, making it a satisfying and flavorful classic. The timing of the meal, however, was somewhat unusual. The burger arrived nearly five minutes before either the appetizer or the korma, which disrupted the flow of sharing dishes at the table, as well as the delay of utensils. Seeing a soda fountain in the dining room, we ordered fountain drinks, but were a little confused it was not self-serve nor were free refills offered. Another eyesore was the heap of dirty dishes that were bussed from the empty tables to the area right next to the soda fountain, instead of hidden and out of sight. Service remained pleasant but somewhat inattentive, and we ultimately had to flag down our server to request the check. While the dine-in experience left room for improvement, the food itself made a strong impression. Gaia Masala & Burger succeeds where it matters most: delivering bold flavors and creative combinations that feel more thoughtful than gimmicky. The menu still offers plenty of territory worth exploring, including fusion items like Mediterranean pizzas and calzones that further showcase the restaurant's willingness to experiment. For us, Gaia feels less like a destination dining experience and more like a future delivery favorite. With availability across all major delivery platforms and a menu packed with craveable options, it's easy to imagine these dishes becoming regular additions to a takeout rotation. The service may not inspire a special trip back to dine in, but the food is compelling enough that we'll certainly be ordering again.
