I checked out Curry & Pie and this place is crazy good. The concept alone is different, but they really execute it well. I've had the Chicken Makhni pizza (butter chicken) and the Saag Paneer pizza, and both of them were on point. The flavors translate way better than you'd expect on pizza. It's not just a gimmick, it actually works. The tandoori chicken wings were fire too. Crispy with a nice kick from the spice rub, and that cumin yogurt dipping sauce sets it off. Definitely something I'd order again. I haven't even gotten into the actual curries yet because we usually come here for the pizza, but that's next on the list. I already know I'm coming back to try the lamb vindaloo pizza. They've also got a solid variety beyond just pizza. Different curry dishes, rice plates, naan, and appetizers, so there's plenty to explore depending on what you're in the mood for. Honestly, we haven't had anything here that wasn't really good. By far, the best Indian fusion pizza in Howard County. Not only in quality, but also in variety. The dough they use is soft and a little bit sweet almost like a naan dough. They have multiple chicken pizza options and each one is so good I couldn't tell you which is my favorite. What really stands out besides that is the saag paneer and the lamb vindaloo pizzas. This place executes the Indian fusion pizzas so well I have not been able to order less than three pizzas each time over dozens of times going there. I can't physically force myself to get anything less than one of the chicken options plus the saag paneer plus the lamb vindaloo. There's a lot of mediocre Indian fusion pizza around. In the mood for something different, I finally decided to give it a try & it was a good experience that I will be trying again sooner rather than later. We got a medium Chicken Tikka Massala pizza @ medium spice & traditional samosas. I probably should've gotten our pie milder bc even at medium, it was pretty spicy & while good, it took the enjoyment level down a bit, but only slightly. It was really good. The star of the show for me was the Samosas though. Absolutely delicious and came with two dipping sauces. Unfortunately, I can't eat pizza all that often me and cheese don't exactly get along all the time. However, my husband and I have had curry and pie on our to try list for quite some time. Today we finally gave it a go the pizza we landed on was the Chicken MAKI. We added some green bell pepper, mushroom and olive. I thought the pizza was delicious and I'm looking forward to my leftover piece tomorrow the curry sauce they put on the pizza at least I'm assuming that's what it is. Discovered via a favorable Instagram foodie, I ordered the exact recommendations from their photos I drooled over...a spicy lamb vindaloo pizza & a CP Special (asking for spicy Tikka Masala sauce in lieu of red sauce) Comparing my dining experience to other local Indian Pizzas- I would say they are far better at providing ample toppings per pie & slice ratio, but overall, we expected everything to be a lot spicier- maybe our hot sauce loving palates just have too high of a spice level bar, but was fairly disappointed everything was on the mild to no heat side- especially when specifically ordering 'hot' Both pies had a delicious fluffy, well charred crust- the pizzas were 'wet' which means don't expect a crunch; instead they had what's called 'tip sag' where the toppings weighed down the pie- but I enjoyed doughy chewiness the sauciness created. The CP Tikka pie was smooth, creamy, rich delectable. The Lamb had a boldness, roasty quality. Ordered this place for dinner to go through Uber eats; service was quick and food was well-packaged. We got the chicken tikka pizza (medium-spice) and mango shrimp curry (mild). The crust of the pizza already had the right mouth feel and body from the first bite. It reminds me of pizza from my home state (NJ). The curry itself gave off a silent, gradual heat that builds as you try more bites. The mango shrimp curry worked as a great sauce to complement the pizza. HIDDEN GEM! LOVED THIS PLACE! It's definitely Asian Fusion! Everything was perfectly seasoned, and tasted homemade. Not to much oil, so much flavor and while some complained about the price, having made these types of dishes before myself, I think the prices are very fair. It's labor intensive and their was no skimping on filling of the Momo of dumplings. It is not fine dining nor is it fast food chain like tasting. It's a happy medium for me. It was also opened late Sunday night which was a plus. I asked the guy working if the dumplings (momo) was made fresh or frozen, he replied he made them this morning. I could NOT believe the answer. He MADE IT FROM SCRATCH this morning. I was prepared for some badly tasting attempt because this place looks like a dive spot, next to a 7-11 and vape place. It does take like 20-30 minutes for the food to be easy but it was really worth the wait for me on a late Sunday night. I was happy it was open. The food came out piping hot! The pizza was nicely topped. I got a Paneer Tikki Massalla Pizza, Coconut Naan, Tandori Chicken Wings, Classic Momo and a soda for about $50. It fed two adult with left overs. The pizza dough had a hint of sweetness which was different and good. Everything tasted as I thought it would. It's a fusion people - if you want authentic go somewhere else but don't judge them poorly for that. To me it's culinary creativity for an average income family to enjoy. They would be appreciated and receive more love in a better location where their was more diversity and more people. It also has great potential to be more upscale with higher quality ingredients like going full organic and reducing the oil content just a little more. This isn't to say it was too oily. I think with less oil, organic ingredients, this place would be awesome in a high dollar location. The dumplings were filled with meat not a little meat and a bunch of cabbage or something. It's full meat. It was great it had One main ingredient inside not mixed with shrimp and bunch of other stuff. People have shellfish and nut allergies. The sauces were also delicious and complimentary. The cook/chef was wearing multiple hats. Clearly very hardworking. I never give 5 stars but for a fusion, affordably priced, fair portions, opened late, homemade taste alone - is 5 stars for me. The best part of this is my kids enjoyed it too; are picky with food allergies. This place worked for us. Their is a few outdoor seating and it was a little dirty for me but, it was also closing time and they looked like they needed one more staff person. Loved the food-saag paneer pizza, chicken tikka masala, and tandoori chicken-we ordered medium spice and everything was piping hot and freshly made. We knew when ordering that the tandoori chicken would be 20 minutes and were happy to sit and visit. The counter space and interior seating were clean and minimalist. Menu was clear. Our challenge was that the only table was outside, so we sat there in the iron chairs, with our backs to Route 1traffic. There were chairs inside but no eating surfaces- and it's small. Really interesting Indian fusion pizza and traditional curries. We can here for lunch and we were pleasantly surprised. We ordered the large Chicken Makhani (Butter chicken) pizza and the shrimp curry lunch special. Definitely take advantage of the lunch specials from 12pm-2:30pm for $3-4 off their regular curries with rice or naan and a soft drink. The shrimp masala curry was delicious and a highlight of the meal. The Chicken Makhani pizza was good, very buttery but the curry flavor was not evenly distributed and hard to taste over the cheese. I do recommend dipping the pizza in a curry for extra flavor. Warning there aren't really tables just one 2 seater patio table inside and 1 patio table outside so most people get takeout. They do make things fresh to order so expect to wait 15-20min if it isn't too busy and longer if there is a line. We accidentally ordered from here instead of from another indian establishment in Elkridge (looked at the wrong phone number), so we figured we would give this place a try. We ordered some more more common indian dishes (channa masala, vindaloo) to so we could compare to other places. The Channa Masala was very good ... the addition of a little ginger on top was a nice touch for taste and fragrance. Unfortunately, the Vindaloo was just average in my opinion. All chicken was only white chicken breast, and was a bit dry when we ate it. I wish they used some dark meat in this dish. Also, there wasn't that much chicken either. I felt the price was a little high to justify for the Vindaloo. The place is a pickup / delivery only establishment. I don't believe there were any tables in there (except one near the register, but I believe that is for the staff). We look forward to trying the pizza though. It's not the first time I've had Indian fusion pizza, but this was definitely the best rendition of the dish I've had a long shot! I'd say the spice levels are a little toned down, so the spiciest level offered is a moderate level of spiciness for people that enjoy spicy food. I did wish the pizza had more/bigger chunks of chicken, but that's nothing major. The soup was flavorful, but also pretty salty, so it loses a star for that. I've picked up food twice from here now and was surprised at how good it was. The first time I ordered a Saag Paneer pizza and it was amazing. The saag flavor was there and the crust on the pizza was as good as any other pizza place I've been. The second time I went, I ordered a chicken tiki marsala pizza and the lamb saag. The chicken tiki marsala was pretty good, but I think the saag pizza was better (I am partial to saag in general though). The lamb saag was really good was really good too. Never tried curry fusion pizza so I figured we try the tikka masala pie. Normal pizza but can taste the curryness; however, barely any chicken. Chicken was sparsely sprinkled throughout and it's pretty much was dry/chicken breast type. The chicken makhni curry was disappointing. The curry had no real flavor and tasted like it came from a package. It also was masked by the spicy flavor so I barely tasted anything resembling what the curry should taste like (butter chicken, creamy tomato curry, and cashew paste.... But all I tasted was spicy) The same chicken used on the pizza was the same chunks inside the curry so nothing special there. Due to no seating, I would compare this store and food to a fast-food joint for select Indian food. Quick fix for pizza and curry. For the price, I would order samosas again and Maybe try the pizza one more time if they changed up their chicken. However, the curry is not worth it for $15 IMO. read more
