So much potential for Curry Corner, great menu, large dishes of korma and samosa. Indeed, I ordered the lamb samosa and korma with my favorite Mango lasi. However, and this is a big issue, my server Niraj and another employee decided to sit down and eat their own dinner just as the dining crowd began to enter. I am not sure if that is him in the photo, but he was definately part of the group dining at the back. Apart from being very unprofessional, this is the quickest way to transmit germs and viruses to the diners, and I did not see anyone wearing gloves either. All in all, I felt lucky I did not get a stomach bug. It is a big question mark whether I should return.

Ordered food and it was meh. It lacked a lot of flavor and Indian flair. The veggie samosa was odd. It lacked vegetables: only had potatoes and the dough was sour and soft. Usually samosa dough is crusty and crumbly but this was a different texture and taste. The pakoras were okay. The tamarind sauce that came with them was more like a sweet ketchup. The chicken Tikka masala was an over sweet butter chicken. I don't know if they sent the wrong dish but it was too sweet and watery. The chicken pieces were a good size though and were all white meat. The sauce was a bit gritty and runny. The rice on the side was good. This meal did not satisfy my indian cravings and with many nearby competitors some improvements should be made.

It pains me to give this place 3 stars because the staff were so nice and attentive, but this is white people Indian food and really lacks spice and flavor. The pakoras were the best thing we had here - crispy and flavorful, helped by the dipping sauces. The samosa was just okay, the chana masala had no spice to it and was disappointingly bland - same with the paneer makhani. For the price though ($22 for an appetizer, entree, bread, drink and dessert) I would come back, try more options and ask for extra spicy. The place is casual overall - you can bring your own alcohol, which we did. Highly recommend ordering a mango lassi and spiking it with malibu rum if you're in the mood for a sweet alcoholic drink. Lunch special is even more cost effective at $13 for all of the above items minus the dessert. I will probably be back.

New spot in Astoria for Indian food and it was delicious! The service was amazing, everyone was attentive, kind, and didn't rush us. The food was very tasty and already I noticed they had a lot of take out orders. I will be coming back. Food: must get the malai kofta - so delicious and hearty! Service: amazing! Price: very reasonable, especially given portion sizes. Honestly, I would share a dish with two people, the sizes were definitely a lot Ambience: cute place to sit and enjoy food

Incredible new Indian restaurant in Astoria, they're having their soft opening from today until mid November. So far, really great food and fast service. Everything is reasonably priced and we really felt like we got a deal here. Papadum - free starter? But very fresh and delicious sauces so this was a good sign. Pani Puri - great flavor and sizable portion for the price, veggies were fresh as well. Samosa Chat - incredibly well seasoned and balanced, also a pretty large portion for an appetizer and would get this again. Butter Chicken - pretty standard but not watered down like a lot of comparable places in the neighborhood, would recommend getting spicy if you know you like your food hotter, since the regular is very mild. Chicken Saag - perfect level of spice (we got it spicy), again not watery at all and concentrated flavor. Big juicy pieces of chicken. We liked that they asked about what spice level we'd like too. Garlic Naan - very strong garlic flavor which we love, and bottom had a nice crust and perfect crispness yet the naan was still fluffy. I love it. Overall really loved Curry Corner and will be back often! Super friendly staff, great service, highly recommend checking it out during the soft opening

Really good spot, walked by and ended up trying the dinner special and the weekend buffet! Both were fresh and delicious. The menu has a wide variety of options, the naan is perfect and the food was perfect! Service is super friendly and nice and the total ambiance wants you to hang out there long after your meal is finished with their amazing chai!

Tried this new Indian place for takeout. It recently opened about a month ago. I got the paneer tikka masala, and it was delicious. Flavorful with a lot of farmers cheese chunks. The sauce was pretty standard to what I was looking for. They threw in a naan for me, which was nice. The space was pretty spacious, a little dim, but convenient right on 30th Ave. Close to the ever popular Seva across the street, which I've known and liked for the years I've been in Astoria. I'll have to try other dishes but for a first time try, I was pretty satisfied with my dish. Service was good.

Came here for lunch and the meal was absolutely fantastic. Started off with mullagatawny soup and a lamb samosa. The samosa was freshly fried so the crust was crispy, flaky, and light and the minced lamb inside was so moist. The naan was baked to perfection. The lamb saag had the right amount of heat and the chicken Tikka was the perfect blend of tomato and spices in the sauce. Definitely a welcomed addition to Astoria.

This new BYOB spot is my new current go to spot for Indian food! I always get their saag paneer and lamb samosas which are so flavorful. Recently had their lamb vindaloo that didn't disappoint. They do not skimp out on portions so I always take my leftovers home. My hubby and I became close with the manager and tall server with glasses as they are always so friendly and they know we live in the area. Please come and support them!

I second on the butter chicken, was probably one of the best meals I've had in Astoria. The service was great. definitely a gem in the area !!

The restaurant felt homey and I could tell there were many regulars and other return visitors, for good reason! Ordered: Masala Chai ($4.50)- this tasted authentic, was nicely spiced, and wasn't too sweet. I only wish the cup was bigger. Steamed momo ($12+)- I like how you have the option to mix and match. We ordered the mixed vegetable and the oyster mushroom and surprisingly I much preferred the oyster mushroom variety. The mixed vegetable momo tasted more earthy to me. Himalayan rice set ($20.5)- this was a very nice assortment- there was rice, lentil dal, your protein of choice- (I chose beef brisket), stir fried cabbage, broccoli rabe, pickled vegetables and crisp flatbread. The only downside in my opinion was that the brisket wasn't too tender and I didn't love the beef flavoring or preparation. The rest of the items were so delicious! I've been thinking about this meal ever since I left the restaurant. You don't want to skip this place.

The empanada things were fine.

My wife's chicken tikka masala was different than what it world normally taste. The sauce was actually very sweet which we didn't really like. The garlic naan on the other hand was absolutely amazing, probably the best tasting naan I've ever hard. I would go back here just for the naan itself. The cheese naan was also very good and was stuffed with cheese. I'm definitely going to give this place another try and ordering the garlic naan is an absolute must!
