    Butter chicken and Goat curry
    Priscirra R.

I believe this is the last indian buffet in Jackson Heights so i had to try it. It's a nice dining room, different from the more casual places in the area, the buffet set up looked nice. unfortunately the food was bland. I should have known it would be, because when I walked in all the customers were white and I did not see any indian/south asian people other than the employees. The food was under seasoned, butter chicken was bland, palak paneer not seasoned, the vegetables in the veg biryani was clearly canned/not good quality, daal was way too runny, naan was nothing to write home about. They had some chicken not in a curry and it was labeled "chicken tikka, but i think it was meant to be chicken tandoori, but it was very bland so i had to drown it in the green chutney, Samosas just ok. I was also disappointed they didn't have Chana masala at the buffet. The goat curry was soooo good, though. I'm glad i tried this place, just to quiet my curiosity as I walk by often and see the sign for the buffet. I don't think I'd go back, unless I was really in the mood for some delicious goat curry.

Good service, there's a buffet and order to take out, and the food that I ordered wasn't that bad, I mean it was flavored and tasted delicious!

Came in for dinner tonight and the chicken curry I got was delicious. Homemade style curry, definitely on the spicy side but so so worth it. The guys working on the counter were very nice and friendly. The veg samosa I got was really good as well.

I got the Steamed Momo (chicken). You get a number of them for an affordable price but they don't taste great and there isn't much filling.

Ordered a variety of things from Delhi Heights, but the taste wasn't very good on any of the items save the mango lassi-which is like how would you mess that up, you know? I gave them 2 stars because the portion for certain items is large. The mango lassi was small for the price compared to other Indian restaurants in the area. Wouldn't recommend coming here for Indian food when there are other places you could go in the area that taste better.

Walked off of the train in this neighborhood and directly across the street I saw several indian restaurants! After my a while without it, I wandered around and saw a buffet (weekends only) for 13$ and had to try it. A bit expensive for the selection they had, but I've never tried Indian in NYC so I dove right in. Samosas were huge, and they only had 4 sauces on the buffet. They had an egg fried rice which was alright, and the mixed veggies were lightly spiced and perfectly soft and cooked up with flavors. My favorite of the day was the methi chicken-- wow! Boneless, curriful and awesome on the rice, with the naan, and by itself! Tender and amazing. The goat was a great flavor too, but barely any meat on the pieces, so mostly bones. It came with naan which was nice! But obviously not fresh, but at least it was warm. Dessert option was gulab j's, which were tasty as always, like little honey soaked pancake balls. For the price, would expect more side options, but overall, okay for a quick lunch to try a few things. For regular menu, Id get the methi chicken 100%! Also really liked the cups and mini bowls for dessert

Stopped by this place in the bustling section of Jackson Heights since I could smell lots of great indian food from afar the minute I got off the 7 train. Currently they are doing outdoor seating which is good. Was not too busy but did have a chance to sit here at a single table to grab some saturday meal. Chicken Tikka masala is a bit different here as it does not have that tangy/buttery masala taste I've come to known for a long time. I def had to ask for some salt and chili peppers to make up the flavor but overall 7/10 which is still good. Would I come back? Yeah. Its ok, but will def get the sizzling grill the ladies behind me had --which smelled great!

Very good food, full of flavor. From the crowd you can tell this is one of the more special Indian restaurants in the neighborhood. Really good food and really good service in a lively laid back atmosphere. Great selection of nepali, indian and tibetan food, and great live music! I came here on a recommendation from Jando S. (queens yelp manager) and I'm glad i did. Generous portions. A tad on the slow side, but food was great. I really enjoyed this Indian restaurant. They offer a buffet during lunch hours for $14.95, which You cant go wrong. I ordered the chicken tiki masala which was good and my home girl ordered the chicken korma which was just OK, it needed a little more flavor. The naan bread was the best part for me. Nice and flaky and soft. Overall pretty good place for Indian food, the price is decent. Not overpriced at all. Really a nice place to eat Indian food. Friendly staff. 10% of your bill with yelp check in. Warning: They do not accept American Express.

I ordered Kashmiri Rogan Josh (lamb) and it was soooo good. The flavors were authentic, the portions were large and they kept the rice and the meat and sauce separate during delivery which I really appreciated so my food wasn't soggy. This had to be the best Indian food I've ever had and I can't wait to order it again the next time I'm in town

The 31. Pudina Paneer Tikka- No good!
    Naiya P.

We ordered a lot of appetizers and everything was so bad!!!!!! The samosa chaat, papdi chaat had weird smell and it tasted weird. I mean how can one ruin chaats! That's the easiest thing to make. The pudina paneer tikka was so green that it looked weird to eat and tasted bad! The crispy vegetables were a bit okay..not so bad. Main course we had paneer makhani and Malai Kofta, both were very okay! Daal tadka was the best among all but still not so great, just put salt and paper in to make it tasty cause it was very bland in spite of asking everything to be made spicy! They directly take 18% gratuity which is the case most places, but neither the ambiance nor the food deserves that. I AM NEVER COMING AGAIN.

In our 1st attempt to conquer the Indian lunch buffet haven that is 74th Street in Jackson Heights, my girlfriend and I decided to tackle Delhi Heights on a random Saturday afternoon. We arrived rather early at around 12pm (opening is 11:30am) and the restaurant was nearly empty with just 1 other table occupied. From the pictures, the restaurant seemed bigger, but as with many pictures, they are deceiving! I do want to point out that during our 1 hour of gorging here, the stream of people coming in increased as the afternoon wore on and when we left at 1pm about 1/3 of the restaurant was 'full'. So let's get to the saucy part, unfortunately not literally, but figuratively - on an overall level, yes the lunch buffet was cheap as hell at $11.95/person from 11:30am-4pm, but the food quality was really not great and was rather bland. Some dishes were OK and others were not flavorful or too liquidity. Here's what was available at the buffet and YES we tried EVERY SINGLE one of these dishes during the buffet to get a feel of what was good and what wasn't: NAAN You must ask for this at your table as it is not displayed with the buffet food. Just your typical naan, except it was not warm, but at least it was free. VEGETABLE SOMASA The potato inside was good, but it was a bit dry. It's a nice starter, however don't have it late in your meal when your stuffed because I felt it didn't taste as good then. Don't forget to add the chick pea sauce. TANDOORI CHICKEN AND SAUSAGE MIX The chicken was tender and pretty flavorful, but the sausage was just OK. The chicken was served in pretty big pieces, while the sausage was cut up. WHITE RICE Very disappointing. Not cooked very well and was inconsistent throughout. It was bland and did not taste like basmati rice. All the curry being offered could not make me forget about the blandness of this rice. VEGETABLE FRIED RICE All of the same problems as the white rice. A bit more flavor because of the veggies and being fried, but still wasn't great. CHICKEN HAKKA NOODLES Were a bit more consistent than the rices and had more flavoring. However, it was not that warm, which detracted from the flavor. GOBI MATAR This was way too watered down. Recipes call for this to be a bit mushy, but it was basically a dish of vegetables lying in soup. This was the most watery dish of them all. CHILI CHICKEN Chicken was soft and tender, but the sauce was watery and not dense enough. If you've had sweet and sour Chinese pork, then you will love this though. GOAT CURRY Once again the sauce was a bit watery and not solid enough. It felt like I was pouring soup onto my rice when I added some on my plate. The flavors were OK, but nothing great. CHICKEN MAKKAN Best dish at the buffet by far! The chicken was cooked well and the sauce was excellent. The sauce was actually saucy and not soupy and it had great flavoring. PALAK PANEER One of my favorite dishes at Indian restaurants, but this was too liquidity and not creamy enough. If the spinach curry was more dense this dish would have been very good. GAJAR HALWA We were way too full to enjoy this dessert, which was the only one offered, but I loved the little bit that I had of this. The almond flavor was real strong and very evident with each bite. If you love almond flavored desserts, you will love this. You get my drift going through many of the foods. To summarize, most of the buffet foods were bland, watery and could've used extra flavoring. The one major food highlight was the Chicken Makkan, but it wasn't enough to save this disappointing buffet. The entire food experience was 2.5 stars, but since the service was very good and the waiters were real attentive with filling our water I added an extra 1/2 star for their hospitality.

I've done both to go and stay, and I love the cups they serve the drinks in. Their matcha and cold brew are my usual go-tos, but what makes this place so exceptionally special is that it's also a cultural shop, selling and showcasing Tibetan craft goods and culture to the younger generation - something you don't really see much, especially being in the largest Tibetan diaspora in the US. Plenty of good seating, and I especially appreciate the signs on some tables that enforce no laptops or other forms of media to minimize loitering, which you'll see all the time at certain tables.

The iced Americano was solid too if you need a good option for your coffee fix. I also tried the momo dumplings & they were decent overall. It was slightly on the mushy side, but still tasted great. The space itself is pretty big with plenty of seating. There aren't many outlets though, so I'd recommend charging your laptop beforehand if you're planning to get some work done. The drinks also took a little while to come out, so service tends to be on the slower side. If you have some time & in the area, I definitely recommend checking this place out!

The store was on the emptier side probably given the weather outside, with only about a third of their 30 or so seats taken. Seating is first come first serve, no formal waiter service, you order at the counter and they bring the food when it's ready. Staff were helpful in explaining what each item was, the protein options (a choice of chicken or beef for each), and level of spiciness (not too spicy though the accompanying sauces had a kick). We ordered-- - Kothey momo $9.99: selected the beef filling, this was a lightly pan-fried dumpling with a thin dough wrapper and savory minced beef filling. Served with a medium spicy dipping sauce. Good! - Thai soup momo $12.99: came in a curry broth with vegetables, my friend ordered the chicken momos and they came piping hot in the soup. Tasty and warm comfort food for a very cold evening. - Chili momo $11.99: deep fried and served with a tangy sweet and sour chili sauce, peppers and onions, my friend ordered the beef version. The spice level on the chili sauce was pretty mild. Yummy. - Samosa chaat momo $11.99: sprinkled with diced tomato, onion, cilantro doused with green chutney and sitting in a shallow bed of yogurt sauce, these deep fried momo were so flavorful. - Tandoori momo $11.99: I'm not sure if these were baked in a tandoori oven but they were sure seasoned with spices to taste like it , and delicious! Tender and juicy chicken filling. - Sandeko momo $11.99: another deep fried momo (this time I asked for beef) topped with a chunky sauce of soybeans, tomato and onion, filled with minced meat. This was another tasty plate! All the momos we ordered came with 8 pieces, while some of the basic flavors come with a couple more pieces. A single plate is a moderate amount of food for a meal though we ended up ordering six different types to share and try. Each stood out in a different way and I'd heartily recommend all. If there was just one critique it was since it was so cold that night (in the teens Fahrenheit) and no outside wind door that whenever a new customer or delivery pickup driver came in, a rush of freezing cold air also came in. It was quite chilly inside the restaurant for that reason and I had to eat with my jacket on. However that didn't detract from the tasty momos, and I'll certainly be back!

The first time that I came here was about 3 years ago with a few friends and we liked the food - the beef tongue was different and super memorable and the jhol momos were just swimming in flavorful curry. Made me want to come back again. Fast-forward three years later, I feel like things have changed significantly. Or maybe I didn't catch them at their best, but I came with another group of friends and I just felt overall disappointed with the food, as did my friends who were excited to try Himalayan food for the first time. I had the goat dhat bhat and the small amount of meat served in aesthetically pleasing bowls to mask the portion was disappointing--and this was not a lunch special or anything. I mainly got a big bone and realistically got about 2-3 small bites of actual meat, while there was an overwhelming amount of rice and veggies. The momos also tasted like they were pre-made and heated or steamed up again because the dough was definitely a little rough. Overall, this experience was a meh for me. I think it is a social staple for many Nepalese and Tibetans in the area, and just for that.

They provide complimentary popcorn, which is well seasoned and rich with ghee. I was seated in a chair that was very low to the ground. While outfitted with comfy cushions, I was not sure what the proper was to sit on this chair was and I was too embarrassed to ask. My best guess is that it's meant to be a criss cross applesauce type situation, but I had on wet snow boots and didn't particularly want to do that. This isn't a complaint, but just something to consider for anyone with mobility concerns who might be considering visiting. There are some normal style chairs in the front of the restaurant that I'm sure I would have been switched to had I requested as such. Anyway, onto the food. I ordered the "Lahana Ko Faarzi Bhoj" which arrived on a large round platter with a variety of different dishes. I am very new to this type of food, and most of it was completely unfamiliar to me, which was very exciting. The grain at the center of this platter is "chiura," a rice product which has been pounded flat and dried. It has a light and crunchy texture, and pairs well with the thinner, wet curries it was served with as it really soaks up the liquid and expands in size. I've never had this before and it was very interesting to try. The platter comes with two bowls of warm curry, one with black eyed peas and maybe some potato and the other was darker with meat which I preferred. Both were rich and deep in flavor, but the darker one (pictured on the right) was so savory and well balanced- definitely my favorite part of the meal. They both have some heat to them, the kind that builds at the back of the palette throughout the meal, but none of this food was excessively spicy. The main plate has a ring of various cold dishes around the edge, all of which were unfamiliar to me so I can't necessarily identify them. My favorites were the pieces of well seasoned dark meat chicken and the deep fried egg in the center, but it also included some pickled elements, some ground meat and a small skewer, which I found to be quite tough. I really enjoyed trying new, interesting food in such a beautiful space. The servers were kind and there are many other items on the menu that I'm interested to try. I feel lucky to have this place nearby.

The bara itself was fairly neutral in flavor, and the aloo sabzi was paired with strong fermented beans that I haven't acquired the taste for yet. We tried both the plain steamed veg momos as well as the jhol momo. The dumpling filling was very good, but I found the jhol broth a little light - the dumplings also could have been served hotter.

Bit more than a year ago my wife spotted this restaurant on a bus through to LGA. We finally had…read morethe chance to give it a shot just yesterday. Day before a blizzard, always is a great time for good eats. Aside from ourselves there was only 1 other couple, but again it's mid day before a blizzard. The restaurant is decorated perfect IMHO. Without being anything over the top I felt it was a very nice balance of dark, old, new and modern - where needed. I really liked the feel and the space. The food - finally my first momo platter. Again being a vegetarian it's hard to come by. It was insanely good. Nothing like ordering "dumplings" if U ask me. But so much more wholesome dough, filling, and fresh herbs. And the 2 sauces were intensely different from any other condiment I've ever had. We also ordered an amazing black tea with honey lemon ginger - my fav. And paneer chilli, and aloo timur. Both just as great with no oily, greasy, saltiness to it and fresh herbs and spices. At the end we caught up with some small talk with the young woman who served us and said bye til we come here again - debility for the jhol momo and the brunch platters next.
