Tuesday 9/3/2024 I made a takeout order and got the butter chicken $15, chicken curry $14, assorted platter $9, garlic naan $3.99, tandoori chicken $13.99, chicken mo mo $7.99. - The Butter chicken (aka my favorite Indian dish) was pretty decent but it's not really close to the best I've had. Also I wish I could've got a bit more Chicken. - The chicken curry was okay but also a bit underwhelming as it didn't have that strong curry taste & flavor that I was expecting (it was kind of bland). - The assorted platter comes with samosa, pakora, chicken tikka, and lamb kabob (sekuwa). * It was my first time having a samosa and I really enjoyed it (it's a pastry stuffed with potato & peas). * This was also my first time trying pakora and it was pretty decent. * The chicken tikka left me with a mixed feeling: the chicken itself was good but I don't really know what I'm supposed to expect from the "tikka". * The lamb kabob was decent and had a solid flavor profile. * Overall, the platter was very good based on the value and taste of the sampled items. - The garlic naan was pretty cold when I got it but after warming it up, it was solid. - The tandoori chicken comes with 6-7 pieces of small mixed legs & thighs. It's solid chicken but i expected more in terms of taste & flavor. - The chicken mo mos are Indian style dumplings and they were alright but nothing really impressive for me. Although I've had better, this was still a decent Indian food experience. I'd definitely recommend the assorted platter and butter chicken for all of the newcomers.

Chicken Tikka Masala + Cheese Nan

Service was great. Ordered for a pick up and was ready at the time they said it would be. It was steaming hot still after my 15min drive home. The cheese nan was delicious, fluffy, had a nice char. The rice portion is for a kid at best. They need to give a bigger cup. If I had not add nan I definitely would be hungry still. The chicken and sauce itself wasnt the best I had. Lacks seasons. This is me comparing to my go to place in Columbia MD called royal taj. That's real authentic cruisines. But this is good enough to get your fixing. It was $20 for all of this. Inside is fairly small even though I had a to go order. Just wanted to help those out who decide to dine in. They need more lighting, it's too dark in there.

Placed our order online, for pick up. The estimated time was 20 minutes. I drove over early and stopped at another shop near by. I arrived a few minutes early. The lighting inside is very dim. Otherwise, the location is clean and appears to be well maintained. The aroma is very nice. I walked over to the bar/counter in the back. An associate came out of the back and looked at me, with a smile. I said I might be early, but was checking on my order. He checked the order on the back counter and softly said my name. I am not sure if he said anything else after that. I live just a 2 minute drive away. The entrees were still hot. The rice and spring rolls warm, the cauliflower in between. The colors of the food were vibrant. The individual aromas were very pleasant. Each item was very fresh looking and tasting. The cauliflower, Lasuni Gobi, was spicy up front at first bite, but maybe medium at first. Overall the flavor profile was excellent. Both entrees were very tasty. The goat had some fat, which we expected and appreciated. The meat was tender but not too soft. The Lamb dish was very well prepared. The subtle flavor of coconut was in the background. Both entrees were very flavorful, and as expected had their own unique spice combinations. The spring rolls were good, probably could have used a bit more filling to balance the wrapper. The dipping sauce complimented the rolls. We were very happy with the food and overall process to order and pick it up.

First time to try this joint. Very casual cozy little restaurant at a strip mall in Germantown. Hubby and I had cravings for Indian cuisine. This is near the New Grandmart International grocery store so it's perfect location for our purposes. The staff were so friendly and professional. It was a refreshing experience. We got the assorted platter that had chicken tandoori, samosa, lamb and veggie patties with a side of tamarind and green chutney (cilantro and mint). Every bite was delicious! The samosa had crunchy pastry on the outside and perfectly cooked. Lamb and chicken were full of flavor, marinated well. I got the butter chicken and he got the curry chicken. I tried both. I prefer the butter chicken but both were delicious. We got a side of naan and mango chutney and pickled veg . They went together well. Overall a wonderful experience and will definitely come back. I got the Gulab Jamin to go so I'll keep you posted on that dessert! Come try this place.

After all these years our fam still likes y'all :) We like you - we really like you. We've been ordering online delivery consistently for almost 2 yrs now due to what's going on..... and CP has been part of our good eats rotation - the beyond menu app is what we use. Our online delivery order arrives consistently on time with their tasty entrees - no complaints from our bellies. Routinely 99.9999% of the time I post foodporn pics. Photos are way more helpful than reviews imo. Still I'm posting this review if there's interest. Also I'll post pics before reviews 'cause I look for pics myself - just being honest. Hopefully my pics are helpful :) And as usual we'll be back for more tandoori, vindaloo, and for that recent noodle dish I'm crushin' on.

The place is a quiet restaurant tucked away in the corner of a strip mall and the service from beginning to end was very kind. The menu was borderline overwhelming because there were so many choices. You almost have to go in with a game plan. They have street food style cuisine, large plates, and a ton of options. The good news is that out of everything I tried, they were all delicious, so I don't know that there's a bad game plan to be made here. Everything was very well-balanced and had great depth of flavors. This is also the type of restaurant where when they say spicy, it means spicy, so just be forewarned. Awesome spot and would totally recommend if you're in the area.

The Laotian papaya salad was SO good and tasted very authentic. We got level 2 spice, and it was definitely spicy, but in a really good way. I hope they keep the spice levels that way because it really keeps things authentic. The only thing I was missing was the little fermented baby crabs! We also ordered the basil chili crisp pork belly dish and the Pad Thai Supreme, and both were excellent. Portions were big enough that we had leftovers. Such a cute, clean restaurant with friendly service. I'm already addicted to the papaya salad and will definitely be coming back!

Matthew's Grill - Gaithersburg, MD Authentic Filipino…read moreComfort in the Heart of Montgomery County If you can't visit the Philippines--or if you simply miss authentic Filipino food--a visit to Matthew's Grill will absolutely help set the mood. From the food to the atmosphere to the people (both customers and staff), everything felt wonderfully familiar and welcoming in a Filipino tradition. According to Jimbo (sp?), our greeter and host, Matthe's Grill would be exactly the same as if we were actually there in the Philippines. Born and raised there, and apparently Matthew's cousin, Jimbo's enthusiastic friendliness set the tone for our entire visit. We first heard about Matthew's from an Uber driver who insisted it was the only nearby spot for truly authentic Filipino dishes. Based on our lunch, he wasn't exaggerating. We ordered: Matt's Crispy Pata - a mini mountain of succulent fried pork shanks, bone‑in and beautifully crisp outside and juicy inside. The vinegar dip cut through the pork fat like a flavor katana. Kare Kare - tender oxtail and vegetables in a rich peanut broth. Creamy and rich. CJ's Chicken Wings - reportedly among the top ten in the region, and easy to believe people would make a meal of these alone. Lumpia/Egg Rolls - reminiscent of Mexican taquitos, perfectly fried and addictive. Once you start eating them o it is hard to stop! White Rice - served alongside everything, as it should be. Each dish came with its own sauce or dip to enhance the flavors. I can't personally confirm how authentic each recipe was, but I can say everything was delicious, portions were generous, and we took home more than half for another meal. (We'll be reheating by air‑frying and convection baking--these dishes are far too nuanced and crispy for the microwave!) Service was fast, tables were large and clean (great for families), and complimentary water arrived in big refillable pitchers. Music played at a pleasant background level. The all‑gender restroom is located down the left hallway behind the kitchen--clean and well supplied. Parking is free and plentiful in the shared strip‑mall lot. A note on hours: Matthew's is only open for dine‑in on Thursdays and weekends, though take‑away is available on some other days. It's best to check ahead. We were among the only dine‑in guests on a Friday at lunchtime, but there was a steady stream of customers picking up take‑out orders. If you go, I recommend embracing the Filipino experience. At minimum, it's worth learning how to say "thank you" in Tagalog. We did. Salamat!

Second, the selection is huge. They pretty much have almost everything you expect in an AYCE place. Chinese hot food, Japanese sashimi, Korean BBQ, vegan salad, drinks, ice cream. I only wish their desserts are better... I thought the little roll/balls in the frig was mochi... but no... it was something with unpleasant texture - they tasted like silicon... Other than that, I think this place is the best Asian AYCE I have tried in the US. If we are ever in Maryland and in the area we will definitely come back.

The restaurant has nice decor and a promising selection of menu items, but the execution of the traditional dishes fell short of my expectations. The Highlights: Timmur Chicken Wings: Absolutely amazing. The flavor profile was excellent and easily the best part of the meal. The Disappointments: Thukpa: I have very fond memories of this dish, but this version was highly disappointing. They altered standard ingredients and added fish oil, which is definitely not characteristic of traditional Nepali Thukpa. Momo: While the dumplings themselves were okay, they were let down by the sauce. What makes a Nepali momo superior is the specific, vibrant momo sauce (achar), but the sauce served here looked and tasted like a generic, store-bought version. Overall Verdict:While the menu features an appealing variety, the execution misses the mark on authentic Nepali cuisine. It has great potential, but they need to stick to their authentic basics.
