I love yellow café. It's the same people who had a business in the Kentlands Good Fortune very good service love their food. They cook with love and a lot of flavors. I have to say it's the best Chinese place by far in the area and the only place I would go and get my Chinese food from the owners. Very sweet service is very good. Highly recommended. Very clean atmosphere as well.

These pictures are the chicken lo mein I already ate a ton (these are now my left overs) and the strawberry boba tea :) I have been to this location before when it used to be called Happy Uncle and the service before was okay. But we kept going since it was always super nostalgic since my family when before I was even born. They have refurbished literally all the furniture. The lighting and mood is wonderful. They even have background music and a piano!! My favorite waiter Rudy is there. He's such a sweet gentleman and has been working for more than 25+ years. The staff for Yolo Cafe has been above and beyond amazing, kind, and their customer service is more than phenomenal. They even got an alcohol license and serve wine now. I think that's just wonderful. I wish all the luck in the world to this restaurant and highly commend them for being part of the community in Montgomery county. With all the love - Nicole R.

Found a new gem of a Chinese restaurant in Germantown. This restaurant was where Happy Uncle used to be, but I'm assuming its now under new management, therefore a new name. The restaurant was very nice, spacious, with lots of tables. It was empty when I arrived to pick up my food, but I'm guessing they get a lot of carry out orders so the kitchen was really busy. I ordered online easily, with the main entrees being the Vegetable Delight and Vegetable Lomein. Both moderately priced, but well worth it, though I wish the Vegetable Delight had more gravy in it. It was a bit too dry for my taste, but next time I order again, I'll be sure to tell them to put more gravy. The lomein was amazing, noodles soft and slurpy, great taste. Vegetables were all crunchy and fresh. I really enjoyed the food because ever since another chinese restaurant closed in the area, there hasn't been a great option since. Hopefully i found the right replacement. Amazing service and the carry out bags were really cute with insulation in it to keep the food very hot on my drive home. First time I've seen these types of bags. I'll be back for sure!

We got 2 breakfast platters which have egg of your choice with meat (one had chorizo, the other had shredded beef), awesome dipping sauces, refried beans, generous portion of well-topped chilaquiles, and a slab of seared cheese. It was all terrific, very filling and a great value ($12/platter). The only negative was that it took 10-15 mins for our food to come out when there was no one else waiting for food. But, we had some time to kill and were not expecting much for a Mexican breakfast, so were pleasantly surprised and are planning to go back to check-out their dinner service.

This used to be one of my regular go-to spots, especially when I was craving a fresh veggie burrito, and this visit reminded me exactly why I loved it. I ordered my usual veggie burrito with extra cilantro, guacamole, white onions, and a little corn, and it was absolutely delicious. Every bite was fresh, flavorful, and packed with quality ingredients. One thing I've always appreciated about this restaurant is the consistency. The ingredients are always fresh, the portions are generous, and you can tell everything is prepared with care. The customer service was just as memorable as the food. The staff was kind, courteous, and welcoming, making me feel like a valued customer from the moment I walked in. It's always nice when you return to a favorite restaurant after some time away and discover that the quality hasn't changed. This visit definitely reminded me why La Gula Mexicana became one of my favorite local spots, and I'll be adding it back into my regular rotation. Highlights: * Fresh, flavorful veggie burrito * High-quality, fresh ingredients * Delicious additions of cilantro, guacamole, white onions, and corn * Friendly and courteous staff * Consistently great food and service * One of my favorite local Mexican restaurants

A big shoutout to our server, Nani, who was attentive, friendly, and full of personality. She made our special night even better. The hostess was warm and accommodating, offering to seat me while I waited for my friend. Once she arrived, we were promptly shown to a comfortable booth in the dining room. The floor-to-ceiling windows filled the space with natural light, creating a bright and inviting atmosphere. We started with the cheesesteak spring rolls (three per order), which were delicious. They tasted exactly as advertised--gooey cheesesteak filling wrapped in a perfectly crispy spring roll. For our entrees, my friend ordered the short ribs with broccoli instead of risotto, while I chose the Cajun shrimp pasta. The short ribs came with two generous pieces and were incredibly tender. My friend, who always orders short ribs whenever they're on a menu, was thoroughly impressed. The Cajun shrimp pasta was just okay. While it included a generous portion of nicely sized shrimp and the sausage added some much-needed flavor, the dish overall fell short of my expectations. The pasta was cooked slightly past al dente, and I was hoping for more of the bold, spicy kick you'd expect from a Cajun dish, but the flavors never really came through. To top off the evening, our server surprised me with a complimentary birthday dessert, allowing me to choose anything on the menu. That was such a thoughtful touch. We shared the cheesecake, which was served in a half mason jar with whipped cream, a chocolate "Happy Birthday" plaque, and a candle. I requested the blueberry compote on the side since I wasn't sure we'd enjoy it. While it ended up being a bit sweeter than our preference, it complemented the tart cheesecake filling nicely. The only thing that caught me off guard was that the cheesecake was served warmer than expected. On a hot summer evening, I was anticipating a chilled dessert. Overall, I had a fantastic experience. The attentive service, comfortable atmosphere, and the fact that we never felt rushed--even after spending about two and a half hours at dinner--made for a memorable birthday celebration. While my entrée didn't quite hit the mark, I'd gladly return to try another dish with a bolder flavor profile.
