Only one time have I had any issues, where the provided rice tasted and smelled 'sour,' upon arrival home from a takeout order. Otherwise, food has been up to standard and very good. Service is typically good, although there was a time when I walked in and the gentleman at the counter did not seem to be able to speak English. The restaurant is brightly lit inside, definitely giving it more of a lunch vibe than a dinner one. The sheltered patio space on the wing of the building is darker. India Palace would benefit greatly from reducing prices 2-3 dollars on their main course items. As a college student living in a college town where cheap alternatives to fine dining are everywhere, there has been many a time where I have opted to not choose India Palace over somewhere else, due to the relative high prices of common items. The same way I wouldn't pay $18 for General Tso's Chicken is why I hesitate to choose an $18 Chicken Tikka Masala, or even the $20 Chicken Tandoori, with chicken being a cheap commodity in the Auburn-Opelika area. Prices are the only reason it doesn't get 5 stars. The restaurant feels more like a pricy lunch spot that you eat at and leave rather than go out for enjoy the time you spend there. Other than that, great restaurant when you're looking for something different and well-made.

The flavor profile is insane. It's got that flavor complexity and the chicken is tender, seasoned perfectly, and plays beautifully with whatever else they're putting on there. This isn't some gimmicky fusion nonsense. It's legitimately great pizza. The garlic parm wings are a game-changer too. Full-sized wings, which is rare to find these days. A lot of places cheap out on wing size, but not here. They're crispy, garlicky, LIKE REALLY GARLICKY AS IT SHOULD BE. Not super crispy but that's okay. The pizza itself came out with a solid crust, good flavor. I ended up tossing it in my oven at home for a few extra minutes to get it crispier than it arrived, I prefer a crispy slice, but that says more about my preferences than their product. Once it hit that crispy sweet spot, it was phenomenal. Auburn's got legit food options.

It was a wonderfully favored chickpea dish with a side of rice and her special bread that she makes. Plus a small samosa. It was delicious.
