I recently bought a Honda Civic hybrid at this dealership. I love the car and the sales experience was fantastic. The problem I encountered was with the service department. I scheduled an 830 am appointment to have my regular maintenance done. I arrived only to be told that my appointment time was irrelevant and that I would have to wait 2.5 hours to have my service done. Apparently service is done first come first serve so don't bother making an appointment. If that's the way their service department is run, so be it, but they should disable the ability to make appointments on their website. It's misleading. read more

Okay- We brought our 2001 Accord in because of oil leak- They told us it was not the pan but the seals above (asked for almost 4K to fix timing "service") We declined that as the car had 450K on it ( thanks to me ,not them) ... They insisted they did a oil pan gasket @ 400+ dollars... but all they did was mar one bolt. I marked and checked. Not honest. read more

They did good work but are deceptive on their pricing when calling to make an appointment. I called to make an appointment to have my valves adjusted on my 2010 Accord V6 and the guy who answered gave me a price between $340-$600 but would have someone call me back to confirm the price. The next day nobody called me back so I called. A woman answered the phone and gave me the price of $340 and said replacement of that the valve cover gaskets are also included in the service. I said "this is the price for a V6 and NOT a 4-cylinder, correct!?" She said yes, and sent me a text message of $340 confirming the price. The next day, I scheduled the appointment online. After, I called back for a third time to confirm that the price was still $340. The same woman answered the phone and confirmed that price. When I arrived on my appointment day, the man behind the counter told me that price was wrong, that it was $844 and the gasket replacement was not included and wanted to charge an additional $900 extra (which I declined). Like I said, they did a good job but get everything in writing and the services they claim are included before you make an appointment with them. read more

My son's 2015 Civic had a parasitic battery drain. I did a lot of research before bringing it to Curtiss Ryan. Told them it was most likely the door actuator. Paul laughed it off. They had the car FOUR times and replaced three batteries before finally diagnosing it as the ecm like a 2K fix. I did not accept that diagnosis and brought the car to mechanic in Milford who specializes in electric issues. Never told them about the actuator they called me the next day saying you need a new door actuator. I literally laughed on tne phone. 750 for parts and labor. zero issues in 9 months since. Moral of the story always get a second opinion and trust your research. I will NEVER have a car serviced at Curtiss Ryan again. read more

I am not happy how a service advisor Paul Harris took total advantage of an 85 year old woman who drives her vehicle roughly 5 to 8 miles a day. when she told him that . her vehicle would not have broken down if she didn't change her transmission fluid $260.00 ok n a fixed income . she could have gone to 50,000 miles and nothing would have have happened but my mother will not be going to Curtis Ryan anymore . and if you have a elderly mother or father keep them away I feel this is a form of elder abuse by them selling to get the commission. Brought my 2018 CRV to Curtis Ryan for service for tire rotation and do a oil change 15K service. Dealership charge me for rotating the tires failed to do so. I marked the tires pryor with a silver dot to verify if this was actually done. It was not. Spoke to the manager he indicated it was not required because the front tires had more tread than the rear tires. I checked the tires myself with the tire depth gauge and the front tires were worn by 1/32" more than the rear tires of and slightly rounded on the corners. They offered me a complimentary oil change I politely declined. Will not go back. read more

Went to Curtis Ryan Honda for my oil change and also to have them check one of my tires because I was sure it had a slow leak. I asked him to check the tire and immediately the man behind the desk that's going to be $35 before even checking anything. It turns out I had some package that came with the car and I ended up getting a free tire. There was also a recall on my car so while I was there, they said they would fix that. Three hours later, I am still there to have the service advisor come in and tell me that they plugged my tire and put it back out on the lot so now they were going to have to bring the car back in and take the old tire off in Mount new tire. I had an appointment to go to at 3:30 which was in 10 minutes so I left and came back the following day for the tire after leaving there i noticed that my radio was not working and neither were the streaming services I had. I could see that the music was playing, but there was no volume. I thought it might be related to whatever they did for the recall so I called the service department and explain the situation they told me they would give me a loaner car on Saturday. Saturday I show up and am told by the same service advisor that they had no one there to check my car and I shouldn't have come in on Saturday for a loaner. I am not the one that's scheduled the loaner. He then told me he would call on Monday and give me a loaner for two days so they could check the car. It is now Friday and I have never gotten a call from anyone. I am no longer using their service department for any needs. I may have. I will be going to the Honda dealer in Milford. The sales department at Curtis. Ryan is amazing. Very friendly accommodating work hard to get you in the car you want at the price you want however, their service department leaves a lot to be desired. read more

Service Department is a total rip off. Do not use their Service Department, as you will be charged exorbitant prices for unnecessary work. We had a scheduled service and there was nothing wrong with our car, but they called and said ONE of our brake rotors was shot and we needed new brake pads on all four. Again, there were no sounds/indications of anything wrong with our brakes. $2500 later - we were totally taken advantage of and will never forget it. I learned my lesson...NEVER take your car to a dealer for scheduled service/maintenance; use a local mechanic whom you trust. The experience was so bad at Curtiss-Ryan (who I've used to purchase all my cars since I was 18 years old - only Hondas for me!!), that.... I just bought a brand new Camry XLE and I LOVE IT SO MUCH!!! OMG!!! What was I thinking buying Hondas all these years? The CAMRY is my DREAM car and from what I see, their reliability, esthetic .... Another lousy experience at a car dealer. It wanted me to write more so I can say I bring my car here, no change in the issue. Change the air filter, "fuel service" I think it's 'clean out the carburetor' and of course "diagnostic fee" all for $450 what a joke. "Well, why did you go to the car dealer then they're always too expensive?" Well, I trusted that they'd PROVIDE VALUE not a cheap price. Avoid them. Brought my Honda Civic hybrid in because hybrid battery light went on. They quoted me a diagnostic fee $149. that was typical. Though I brought car in at 9:15 am only later in day was I told that they could not make a diagnosis. They required another diagnostic charge. Another 149$ now up to $318. They repaired a loose wire to fuse box and took it for a short test drive no light. I didn't feel this was a great explanation. Left dealership light went back on after 15 mins. I spent $318 and achieved nothing no diagnosis no repair. Not ready to spend another 300 bucks. Loss of confidence in these guys. Will try another dealership. read more

One of the standouts in the service area is Stephanie...always professional and friendly. She is understanding and very helpful each and every time. There are others that I see and recognize since I am on my second CRV but just cannot remember everyone's name....they all make the experience of purchasing and maintaining a pleasurable experience. I would have given 5 stars - but the waiting area is the one part that could use a bit of improvement...when its busy/crowded...there is limited seating...they do provide snacks and hot beverages and chilled water dispensed...which is a really nice perk...its the size and comfort of the area. When the wait is an average of over an hour to 90 minutes...its not all that comfortable. There is a lot of 'traffic' of people going thru the wait area including the employees so its not a quiet place to sit and read or concentrate. There is a small area for children - this is a plus but still not a soundproofed area. All in all...the professionalism and kindness surpass expectations...the wait area just needs a bit more thought as far as seating/comfort. read more
