BEWARE. Surprised that these guys screwed me over, but they did. Mark the owner gave me a verbal quote of a total cost of $1000. to replace an intake manifold on a 2016 Jeep Patriot. I agreed to the price and waited 4 weeks for the part to come in and the repair to be completed. They then charged me $1500. for that repair, handed me the paperwork after they had swiped my cc through the machine. I immediately told them I was over charged, I had been quoted $1000. for the intake manifold repair. The tech Brian told me I would have to discuss with Mark, who wasn't there. I've left letters in the drop box and left vm messages, no one returns my calls. (They did work on another vehicle of mine 2 years ago, almost $4K worth of work on Chevy Colorado.) No longer giving them any more business. Update after speaking with Mark the owner, 5/8/2024. Mark called a few days after I picked up the vehicle. Claims the "repair was a nightmare". All kinds of rust on the intake manifold bolts, 6 of the 8 bolts were rusted out and broke when he tried to remove them. He said the job should have taken him 3 hours but instead it took him 9 hours.(Really???) I told him as a customer who was given an estimate of $1000. for a repair only to be charged 50% more, I was not happy, he should have had a better idea of the condition of the vehicle and the cost to repair (Initially, I had left the vehicle at the shop, he looked the vehicle over and also diagnosed the check engine code issue and that it needed an intake manifold.) I told him given the estimate of $1000., then overcharge of $500., he had lost a customer. read more

Best mechanic shop I have ever experienced. This place is great! The mechanics are very knowledgeable, certified and can fix anything. I can't say enough nice things about this place. Tip: There is also a gas station here and it is one of the few places that still cleans your windshield and if you ask they will check your tires and oil with a smile. read more

I had issue my brakes, an accident happened while they were fixing it. Not only did they replace the part but did not charge me for it. My daughter and I are from Ohio and we were visiting colleges in the area when our car needed repair. Needless to say, that is a very vulnerable position to be in. Our car was towed to P&M (a bit thank you to Shawn the tow driver). From the minute the car was on their property to the minute we left, we received A++++ service. Mark and his crew at P&M Service Center are the best! I started bringing my car there a couple years ago when my company began using them for fueling our fleet of construction vehicles. They always do a wonderful job. When I bring my car in for my annual inspection, they don't try to tack on a bunch of unnecessary repairs like some other shops around here do (looking at you, Fresh Pond Mobil). Mark always does whatever he can to save you money where he can, and get you back on the road quickly. He always calls and explains exactly what needs to be done, and how much it will cost, so there are no surprises when you pick your car up later. Friendly service, and he helped me get the air in my tires for free with a fill up! I didn't catch the name of the service attendant, but he was so nice. They don't have an air pump, but he has a portable air tank that he used to help me fill up all my tires at the pump! He explained how much air needed to be added and that it was the cooler weather triggering my pressure warning since they all had about the same loss of air pressure. read more

These guys run a typical good old fashioned neighborhood garage. They are very smart and I would sooner bring my Honda to them for repairs than to a local dealer. My son now has his Honda serviced there too. They are on the bus route from Belmont to Harvard Sq so you can drop your car with them and continue to work by bus. read more

Mark and Brian are the best in the business--great at diagnosing problems, clear in explaining exactly what needs to be done, and spot on in estimating the time and cost of repairs. I brought my car in on Tuesday, they knew my car is a pt cruiser, they told me they gonna take care of my car but they were too busy on Tuesday. So I made an appointment for Thursday. On Thursday when I took my car to their store, they said they cannot fix a pt cruiser cuz they hadn't done that before. So here's the problem, why didn't tell me the first place! Now I have to leave my car to another garage for the whole weekend! read more

I wished I could give a zero for the rating. This place just wants to squeeze money out of the customer's pocket. They will charge as much as twice of the normal price for a rebuilt part . If you question the price the owner Mark will show how arrogant he could be to you. This is the worst auto repair shop I have ever seen. Will never be there again!!! read more
