Just put your trash out front and they come and grab it daily. Need ice?, a firewood bundle?..or maybe a pizza? All these things are a phone call away and they will deliver them right to your site. Pretty impressive. Nice little general store as well, a pool and a very nice area for the kids to play at. They sell propane, almost anything you need. I throughly enjoyed my stay at Larsson's and the Black Hills of South Dakota.

Renter Beware! Reserved a specific cabin (#7) for this years 2025 Sturgis Rally. I made the…read morereservation 1 yeat in advance with a deposit. Upon arrival, without notification, they Cabin 7 to someone else. I specifically reserved it for the convenience of easy access and ample room to part both my truck and Harley. When the front desk people told me they moved me to another cabin behind #7, they said someone else needed that cabin because of camping gear and closer trailer access. They cabin they moved me to did not even have enough room for both my bike and truck. When asking for an explanation, Twila, the manager said "I dont like your attitude and if you don't like it, stay somewhere else". Even after reserving a specic cabin with a deposit, they don't care. I traveled all the way from California and Twila knew that finding new accommodations under $1000 a night would be impossible. Never trust the cabin you reserved will be available and be prepared to ask to leave if you dont like it!

It was almost level and had a picnic table and fire pit. We spent a lot of time sitting outside and there were no bugs or mosquitos. They have pit toilets and spigots for water. It was very clean, well maintained and quiet. The walk to the lake was down some easy stairs and there was plenty of shoreline to fish. It is minutes from the entrance of Custer State Park and about 30 minutes from Mt Rushmore. The town of Custer is maybe 10 minutes away and has gas stations, a grocery store and restaurants. We stayed 3 nights and wished we could have stayed longer. We highly recommend this campground.

That wasn't working with our trip schedule so I was really excited to find I could reserve a single night at this campground. It's located only a couple miles out of the city of Custer, so really close to gas, groceries, and things to do. The campsite was really nice, it had a place for us to back into and then a walkway down to where you could pitch your tent. There are no showers at this campground, and other facilities are minimal. There is a porta potty and a faucet with running water outside. This was the priciest campground we stayed at on our trip. I reserved it online and it was around 30.00 a night. Plus the park entrance fee is 15.00. It is too bad that the most expensive campground we stayed at had the least amenities. The lake was beautiful, though we really didn't get a chance to enjoy it at all. Overall, it's definitely roughing it a bit more than other campgrounds, but it's clean and next to a beautiful lake. I wouldn't be opposed to staying here again in the future.

Great pool, bouncy thing for kids. But for me it was the $6 fire wood. A lot of places run the price up to $8. And as another review did say, our lot wasn't level but we have a 27 foot camper with no sliders so it wasn't an issue. If you have a big camper, you will need the levelers. Oh and the wifi is superb if you can't completely get away from reality and need internet. Actually this KoA has the BEST WIFI IVE SEEN IN SOUTH DAKOTA. First, the hospitality and management are down to earth. Very friendly and were able to answer all our questions. They have a small store with some basics.. mustard, ketchup, and beer to name a few items. Very friendly. Second, the campsite was very reasonable considering full hookups and pull through. The campsites do share water, meaning one main water faucet that is split between two campsites. The pressure isn't a problem at all. Our problem was that my camper's water was on the front left of the camper. Given the sharing, my original 20 or so foot water hose couldn't reach. Our fault for not having an extension, but we ended up having to park the other way with the camper to hook up the water. Bottom line: we are newbie campers, so just make sure you have an extension. Lesson learned. They do have a cool little lake/pond that offers fishing and swimming as well as boat rentals. Water is clear and they have it sectioned off to prevent swimming too deep. Finally, you are within 5 or so minutes of Cold Brook Reservoir, an Army Corp of Engineers recreation area. They have a super nice beach, and facilities there. You are also within minutes of the cool little town of Hot Springs. If you are looking for a cool and out of the way campground with all the amenities, check this place out!

There is a lot of unique things to do in the town of hot springs. I enjoyed the camp ground having walking trails. Every evening I was able to sit on the hill in a quiet and peaceful place to meditate. The lake is super clear and feels amazing, I felt like the water was healing. There is water sports activities to rent. There is cute cabins if you don't have an RV. There is laundry and a store to get things you need. My dogs loved going walking around the lake and the trails. I felt like I was in a high end resort with all the amenities. The price is rather cheap for what all your getting. The views and the environment are very peaceful! If your looking for a place in the black hills this is one that is worth the drive from the parks and gives you so much serenity.

There were trees providing some shade so it was nice not to sit and bake in the sun. The view is beautiful - you're really on the Needles Highway (87). The bathroom facilities are top notch. I was told they have been remodeled over the past year. If I had to say one negative, it was that we were unable to get a late checkout time so we paid for an extra evening to checkout 2.5 hours late. We will be staying here next year!

The park itself is spotless and well-maintained, with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Beautiful sites with grass, tables and fire pits! One of my favorite features was the fantastic dog park and the convenient dog washing station--perfect for travelers with pets! The location is also great: it feels tucked away and peaceful, yet it's just minutes from town and right across the street from an amazing Mexican restaurant. Highly recommend this hidden gem.
