So, if you are stucked around town and craved Chinese food, chances are...this restaurant would end up being your pick. The food was ok, a bit on a pricey side. The taste was just fine. From my perspectives, compared to other Chinese places in other larger metros/cities, this place wouldn't stand a chance to compete. But..given it was a place in such a small, very low population town...it served its job of helping tame my craving for Chinese food. The rice was like wild rice, had that burnt taste, no eggs or veggies and a few slices of beef which didn't have much taste to it other than grease. It was after 7pm and they were closed so I couldn't return it, I called and he answered again and proceeded to say "takeout order?" After I tried to explain to him my dissatisfaction and the quality. I felt as if he was just not wanting to accept responsibility for just throwing out a crappy meal at the close of business. The egg rolls were hard, burnt and plain right out nasty! The place has more Hispanics than Gringos and most of the conversations are in Spanish. The place is packed on Sundays and most tables are eating Menudo and many locals come in with pots and ordering enough for the family. Bel Shore does have other great Mexican plates. They are only open Thursday - Sunday for Breakfast and Lunch. The owners and staff are family and very friendly. If you find yourself in Deming, NM this is the place to eat.
