They don't listen, or care what you want. They hardly understand English or even try to copy the picture that you give them. A lot of red flags yet I stil went inside. It's dirty as hell, no A/C even though its 90+degrees outside, no shampoo service due to covid. I did not get the haircut that I had in mind. I tried to tell the hairdresser on the phone, but she wouldn't listen. I came in and showed a photo, and as Im explaining I can tell that she doesn't understand so I keep repeating myself and pointing and she starts chopping. At that point I assumed that meant she got it even though she never responded. I wanted choppy layers on my straight hair, and what I got was a bob on top with the rest of my hair hanging out the back. Its like a female mullet. I had to grab what i wanted her to cut to help it look decent enough to where Im ok to go out in public. She wouldn't have a conversation with me to understand what i wanted at all. She only spoke to complain that my hair is too thin. My old hairdresser use to cut my hair so it looked nice and full. This dry chopped my hair dropping it in my mask, my bra, my legs, my shirt. I had to sit on a towel from my car because i didnt want to sit on other peoples hair. It would stick to my legs since im wearing shorts and its 90 degrees in the shop. Hair was all over my shirt and inside my bra. She offered me a couple pieces of duct tape to get it off, but the experience was just so horrible. I was sweating to death, being combed with unsanitary brushes that had other peoples hair on it, my hair was being dry cut and i could feel some tearing out of my scalp. Everything in there smelled like wet dog and it was so hot and the haircut was so unprofessional I just wanted to leave. Not to mention the few insults that she threw at me. Im pregnant, so she's questioning if my bf works, and I responded "my HUSBAND does work, yes, and so do I, full time". Then later before I leave she asks me if I'm 18 years old?!?!??! "NO IM 24, and own property". I am just so offended and i feel ugly and dirty. I have to take a shower because she wouldn't even do a blow dry on my already dry hair. This place is super cheap. I need to find a nice salon where I can actually talk to my stylist and not have such a stressful, dissapointing experience. I want to pay extra for GOOD service NOT this. I wanted a shampoo, haircut, hair product put in, and a styled blowdry. Nope. Not here. They aren't worried about Covid because the whole place is filthy and theyll brush your hair with brushes with other peoples hair on them, and put dirty things on you. Extremely unsanitary place. No. Just. No. I had somewhere I needed to be, but now I can't go since I look and smell like trash. I could of done a better job at home with crayola scissors. Shame. read more

This cute little hair salon is a good place. My mom and I came here as a walk-in after having lunch next door. Ann does a great job each time as she takes her time with each client. I would just suggest for you to ask the price when you first come in to ensure that is what you're paying for because she raised the price on us randomly at the end. I had the most terrible looking hair cut at this place. The back of my hair was not cut evenly and not to the desired length that I wanted. When they redid the cut they didn't even bother to put a protective sheet over me and just let the cut hairs fall all over my blouse. Worst experience ever. August 1st 2016 Clayton Valley Salon located @4330 Clayton Rd. In the Burger King shopping center. I decided to try them out because, hey, $10 for a haircut! Although the exterior seems a little rough, do not let it deter you from giving them a try. I had my hair and bangs trimmed by Lan and she did an AMAZING job - definitely in my top 3 haircuts of my life! I have very fine, very straight hair and she just knew what to do and how to cut it so it has some movement and body. My bangs are amazing also - just perfect for keeping to the side. I took off a star because it could have been cleaner inside, it wasn't awful, but it needed a sweep and considering it's Monday and they had no other customers when I went in, they could have been up on the cleaning. But with a steady flow of business, this hidden diamond in Concord could really shine! Please give them a try! read more

After leaving a review and a tip on yelp the manager did contact me in regards to my review. She wanted to make things right and give them another chance. Her contacting me really shows that they do care about their business and are trying to fix and have better customer service. The prices for men/boys hair cut is very reasonable ($10) and do a great job at it. I do recommend for those in the surrounding neighborhood and if something goes sour I encourage those to speak up so the business has a chance to fix it. All and all its a great place! read more

Small, compact location situated near the main road, not a hard place to catch via the peripheral layer of your naked eye. It is your above average beauty salon with new, trendy designs for everyone. They have a classy, yet catchy name that suits the quality of cuts received, make no error on that. This was the best hair salon I have ever been to, once their new business kickstarted in 2017. I was their devoted customer who came here to get my haircuts for my important meetings, events, and social gatherings. Tony can spend up to half an hour pedantically mowing down your hair to hone in on its lackluster shine or to clean your rough shaven edges. Following these long operations, he will double check them over and over again for any inconsistency. This to him is like a pottery barn that requires attention like no other. The final masterpiece is irreversible by the time the customer walks out. Once a mason or pottery expert shapes a product, they want to finish painting the artwork in a way that it looks presentable without sacrificing the time they spent. Good barbers like him come in one in every thousand years. It is not a fast paced service shop where a customer walks in and leaves in a manner like in fast food restaurants. Angling it from there with this juxtaposition, I get why it takes him under twenty minutes to do my hair and I really appreciate his efforts as he does shine some light out here on a boiling, hot day. Anne is equally talented in her work and is very friendly when she wants to strike up a conversation with you. They operate on the grind satisfying every customer that they meet. Tons of schoolchildren flock like sheep here if the only thing that they are looking for is a few touch ups around each corner for an attractive design. I am pulling a long face as I write this because I am sending all of these happy memories down the shower drain. The diary of open notes and dreams has ceased to exist with the one little mishap that disappointed me when the ice cream actually had a chocolate icing pickle in instead of sweet, red cherries with the same coloration as my own blush. The last time I was here, marking it the final time I get a cut hair was incredibly outrageous. My hair was at least an inch or two thicker than usual especially on days when we do not go out in public as often. Once Ann was done with my hair, she suddenly and randomly shoved the price up, and then with the tip that would lead to $18 total. The most irksome bit of this was, there was no inscription or sign delineating that we had to pay extra if we had too much hair. This last minute fad is very last century. That scam was such an act of disgrace against all the patron saints depicted in the greatest 19th century mosaic panes in the Vatican. If you did not like cutting through line straight grass, then why did you not say so earlier? I thought I should let everyone know this quick piece of info before they start coming in here starstruck. Would rather have my own Cantonese parents cut my hair for me than have this happen again. read more

I made the mistake of just looking at the stars this place received instead of reading the comments. The female reviews that have been good were for a stylist named Lan who does not work there anymore. The stylist that cut my hair her name was Ann or Am couldn't really tell with her tick accent. I asked for a shoulder length with layers and a U shaped in the back and got a straight neck length uneven hair. This was my mistake to go there but ladies do think twice before going to this place. I have brought my sons here a few times for haircuts and they were ok for the price. Yesterday I stopped by and Asked Ann if she had time she said yes. I told her I was going to pick up my boys and be right back in 15 min. I literally got there in 15 min and she was starting to cut someone else's hair. I was in a rush and could not wait an extra 30 min. This was frustrating as I made an appointment with her and she completely disregarded it plus told me anywhere I go I would have to wait. Terrible. Never go there. I have gone there multiple times, all but one i have come home crying. The first time i went the lady did my hair amaizing, the rest were done by a man who messed it all up. Yesterday i went and a different lady cut my hair and i went home looked in the mirror and it was all crooked, i had splitends, and it was all uneven. She didnt listen to me at all. i wanted my bangs to match up with my hair. i wanted to keep my long hair, but now it is up to the bottom of my ears. Just ok, the girls aren't friendly at all. They always seem pissed off. They don't have a very good grasp of English, it is difficult to communicate with them. The girl cutting my hair had no idea what I meant when I said take 1 inch off all the way around. I also didn't appreciate that towards the end of my haircut, the girl started trimming my beard(which I thought was part of my haircut) & when she was done told me five dollars extra for beard. I don't recall asking her to do that, let alone think that I would be charged for it. If you want a cheap haircut that is not too difficult to explain & no customer service, this is the place. The new lady working there is really good(I should have waited for her), but the guy is not. I went and told him exactly what I wanted and even showed him a picture. Shaved on the sides up high and keep it long on the top, what I walked out with was a stupid looking old guy crew cut. Visited 4/28 in the afternoon. Did OK cutting my toddler son's hair. Charge was supposed to be $10, but cashier rang up $14. I pointed to the posted price. The cashier lamely claimed that the upcharge was due to the tiny amount of product they put in my kid's hair. That is some expensive product. I generally prefer to be advised of upcharges upfront. If they had told me they were going to charge me $4 for a dab of mousse, I would have declined. I didn't argue; the excess just came out of the stylist's tip, but the negative experience of the swindle will discourage me from my returning. read more

How can you beat the value of a $10 hair cut that is well performed? I thought that I would try it out since I was at the Mai Thai restaurant next door (which is awesome too by the way) and I was really happy with my haircut.
