I actually drove from South Bay to San Gabriel (LOL) because I was really enamored and respected her artistry. I loved the little salon and how professional Lannie is. She's been in the industry for well over two decades and it clearly shows. I appreciated her patience with me as I'm new to getting nails done. The single one star review is actually from a temp employee that is no longer with Lannie! Her prices are on par with most salons. If I remember correctly, it's $40 for single color gel, and then $2-3 per nail for art, $2 per nail for gold flaking. Obviously it really depends on the designs you want but expect about $75 on average, and don't forget to tip either. If you're not sure, she responds pretty quickly to estimated costs. The gel manicure lasted me about 2 weeks, and I ended up taking mine off at home but didn't do it correctly so my nails are pretty bad and will probably take a few more weeks or months to get back to what they were like before. I'd just get it taken off for $10 or so at a reputable salon next time I get gel. I'd love to come as a regular but the salon itself is too far away for me to be comfortable to make that time commitment (2 hour roundtrip + 2 hour appointment) every two weeks. So for now, I think I'll probably try to stop by when I have a day off or for special occasions. Lannie's really busy, expect to need to book an appointment 2-3 weeks out.

I almost don't want to share bc she's already as booked as it is, but's she's so awesome it'd be a shame if not more people know about her & her work. If you're looking for a Saturday, call 3-4 weeks in advance. There may be cancellations but I wouldn't count on it. Weekdays are a little better, esp. during fall/winter, however, still call as early as you can just to be sure. Looking forward to many more fun nails appointments.

I used Yelp's project feature where the system reached out to several salons/businesses inquiring about a nail appointment. One of the businesses that got back to me was Stephanie. She was very responsive and easy to talk to - I also really like the photos of the nails that she had done before from her social media, so I decided to take a chance and made an appointment for a Friday afternoon. Her nail studio is located inside of San Salon, which she runs with her brother - he does the hair and she does the nails. I was warmly greeted, offered to choose a show of my liking from Netflix, and asked about my vision for my nails. We came to a final vision where she was able to incorporate the style, colors, and glitter that I wanted. I went with the gel X with Japanese polish, which is supposed to be shinier and longer lasting than the American polish. I normally keep my nails really short and I don't really upkeep them so the process of preparing my nails for the gel X took a while, but Stephanie was super patient. Pretty soon she was applying the gel and asking me about the shape and length as well as the final decisions about my preferred color(s). I think I had an idea of what I wanted, but she really helped execute it and bring it to life. I was able to choose different shades of colors and glitters (that she hand mixed) and my end result was better than I could have imagined. The process took about two hours, although it seemed like it flew by much quicker. The nails were a very big hit and I definitely couldn't stop staring at them - especially the glitter under the sun. Super thankful that I was able to find Stephanie and get the nail design that I wanted. Definitely going to reach back out to her in the future for any nail needs. Sometimes I want simple, other time I want some design. Either way, Emily can do both very well. I have been going to her since 2024. I will just show her a photo from Pinterest and just about every time she's able to replicate it. She does a great job with manicuring the nails and accomplishing whatever desired shape and/or design you request. I am so picky with my nails but Emily nails it every time! I end up talking her ear off and then towards the end, due to the calming vibe of the salon, I just feel so relaxed and sleepy. She is so accommodating to what you like and your schedule.
